nairalanda1: Nigeria's reserves are very small.
Our debt outweighs it.
By rights, if we were not a resource dependent economy, we should have a reserve of something like 400 trillion naira by the by.
I'm not joking. I'm.just tired your government and the obidients and the atiku geng and even the secessionists are all so.obsessed with oil money..

Literature › Re: My Twins Were Born By Surrogacy - Chimamanda Adichie by Mrfeel: 6:41am On May 04, 2025 |
PressMyButton: I don't want to say what's on my mind. However, this is double standards coming from Chimamanda who is a self acclaimed feminist. Is she not supposed to be a voice for women being a feminist?. Surrogacy is a form of slavery, prostitution, exploitation of a woman's body. She knew she didn't practice what she preaches, little wonder she didn't come out earlier. Like it or not, accept it or not, any baby born through surrogacy does not belong to you biologically. No matter how some states or countries might legalize it, biologically, the child isn't yours still. Well, I wish her well. But next time, stay one place, if you want to practice feminism, do it with your full chest, otherwise, commot. Reminds me of Linda Ikeji preaching abstinence but lo and behold, aunty was busy jumping on Uber to go and collect. I hate double standards.
PS; it seems some folks just want to argue for the sake of it. There's a reason she's called a Surrogate Mother The children can belong to her biologically cause her eggs can be used , ini Edo did the same her eggs was used and the baby she had was her carbon copy |

dettolgel: It is rampant in the east. [s]They are built on the following premise: a false belief that it brings development much faster than having just one community. Forgetting that allocation is done on local government level. Two everyone wants power as such the more the community is split the easier it is for those power hungry vermins to get their ego massage.[/s]
However, what they failed to understand is that this is the same classic method the British used to weaken Africa by splitting people of the same origin into smaller units. Giving them the false idea that they are different so instead of being one big force to reckon with they are spread thin, into smaller and easy to manipulate unit. Just the way Kano emirate was split for political reasons. I really don't know the day Igbo people will learn. You are just giving analysis on people and culture you don't understand, go and study the igbo culture and how they lived many centuries before the white man came |

Nairaland is a forum were people post randomly. Blocking someone is useless because you'll still come across their posts on random threads. He clearly said if you block someone you won't see the person you blocked and the person will not see you for a week |

UKEMY: Okay Why didn't Benin Kingdom invaded and spread beyond present day Edo state? I believe the Benin Empire wasn't interested in taking territories but rather getting tributes Almost the whole of present day Niger delta was under Benin empire by conquest that's why almost all the clans and tribes in the Niger delta can not tell their history without mentioning Benin, from agbor , to ika , to ikwerre , to Onitsha etc all these clans and tribes paid homage to Benin kings cause they were conquered by Benin at some point |

Also, you are best adviced to avoid the drunkard that told you that story, or at least speak to them when they are sober. Go and read your history, igbankes are ika's , ika's are a subgroup of igbos, igbos are of nri kingdom, nri was established in the 9th century while benin was established in the 14th century that's like 500 years older than benin |

SoftSport: I get what Pastor Ibiyeomie means. 3 John 1:2 says, “I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health.” Jesus wants us to grow, not stay poor forever, some people just don’t like hearing the hard truth. If you don’t agree, no wahala, but don’t twist his words just to sound deep. Was Jesus rich ? Why was he the son of a carpenter? Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God" (Luke 6:20) "The poor you will always have with you": (Matthew 26:11) . "Sell all that you own and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me": (Luke 18:22) |

Celestialsword: I think what Donald Trump is trying to do to stop unnecessary expenditure.
Having embassy in some countries is not economically viable to America instead they prefer to maintain consulate or do away with it entirely
This is what a country like Nigeria should do, Nigeria is struggling to maintain some embassies in some countries where they don't have any economic or business ties. Who knows trump is planning to change America to authoritarian dictatorship rule so he can hold on to power as long as he wants he might want to isolate America from all it's allies so nobody will intervene when that happens |
