Which traditional rulers you have in the east that command respect like those ones. In Edo state, my state, Oba of Benin is the permanent head while the vice is usually rotated by some kings and not all other kings. Sultan of Sokoto and oni of ife has no mate and match to others. Go and look pictures taken by traditional rulers with various president and you will understand better. Obi of onitsha can't even lace oba of Benin shoes.

What you typed here doesn't make sense, all these traditional rulers you mentioned true have power and respect but whatever power and respect they have starts and end with their people which are their subjects, we igbos or other ethnic groups are not under them and has never been under them through out history, why should we accept to have them as our permanent traditional leaders now? In a country with hundreds of ethnic groups you want to make two people from two ethnic groups the permanent chairmen of a traditional council meant to include all the ethnic groups in Nigeria under those two people and someone thinks everything is right with it?
