AmehTsaev: I won't lie, say what you like about Dave Umahi regarding his political inclinations, but the man has really tried for Ebonyi state...even more impressive that he has built all this infrastructure with a budget not even up to a quarter of what most states in Nigeria get. Stakeholders in oyel rich states like Bayelsa and Delta should be ashamed at their leaders for failing them massively despite the huge Federal allocations they receive smh How about your governor, benue state is richer than ebonyi but your governor Ortom did nothing for the past 8 yrs |

Jennyclay: MONEY SEX LOVE ATTENTION.
If a man can’t give me enough of these 4 things I listed above in my marriage, I’ll gladly divorce him.
BTW, the lady should be happy that the ERROR called marriage has ended. A better man who would appreciate and respect her career must surely locate her. There is no need for you to marry in the first place , get your own money , find your own love , and you will get the attention you need |

God1000: Coming from another dictator, he's a friend of Putin, why should NATO send troops when Ukraine isn't a member of the military alliance? That will lead to world war III.
Putin should withdraw his soldiers from Ukraine, then there will be peace.
You invaded my country, killed my people, destroyed the infrastructure and expect me to negotiate with you Kid , you sound like Russia is losing the war |

Originalsly: Refineries are not usually located close to large residential areas because of the pollutants and their effect on health. In developed countries the EPA is very proactive .. emissions are closely monitored and laws are consistently enforced. What is our track record on pollution? It seems like we as a nation are ignorant of the effects of this kind pollution. When the effects start taking a toll on our health we will either blame village people or the devil. We neither have the capacity to monitor pollutants nor the capacity to manage the consequences. Exactly my thoughts |

tecnolad: I can say why they collapsed:
1. They weren't quick to develop an android app, and when they did, they maintained the same UI and UX they had on S40 and S60. This was bad to navigate on touchscreen devices.
2. They had Whatsapp as a competitor, and unlike 2go, Whatsapp didn't need you to buy GC to do basic stuff. Also, it was easier to connect with friends, since you only needed to have their phone numbers.
3. They didn't work on their marketing and geographic expansion game. They only had African users, out of which 80% are Nigerians. Plus there were too many fake profiles on 2go ,it was taken over by kids begging for recharge card |

Dsalvo: Well, corruption is always an issue with Nigeria and I can't be quick to dismiss your valid concerns, as others do, because I know the reality if Nigeria.
After all, it was someone in the Lagos planning permission board that looked away while the developer Osibona extended a residential tower with approval for 15 floors to 21 leading to the collapse of the tower in Ikoyi killing many including the developer himself.
The aggressive marketing of land around the Dangote refinery axis, using the refinery itself as an attraction to lure wealth-chasing investors to the area, is a worry.
We have to hope strict supervision is deployed regarding sales of land and respect for set-backs in the area around the refinery. That is my main worry. Thank you You are the only one that understand my concern on this particular topic , others think I'm just been jealous and tribalistic , far from it |

Dsalvo: Your concerns are valid but I am confident the exhaustive environmental impact assessment studies done has taken care of potential problems noted.
Nothing and no one is perfect but big projects like this tend to have very solid, comprehensive and effective EIA reports and it appears the Dangote refinery project does from studies I have read.
The challenge is for relevant agencies to also adhere to guidelines and residential set-back recommendations without allowing corruption compromise their dedication to duty.
The site itself was chosen strategically and carefully as meeting criteria for location of the refinery.
