Travel › Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by MrGSO(m): 9:50am On Jul 31, 2020 |
I put in my application but haven't made payment. However, I want to change the passport office where I'd do the processing from Osogbo to Ikoyi, Lagos.
Is there any consequence of filing a new application? |

Food › Re: Nigerian Names Of Herbs And Plants by MrGSO(m): 6:02pm On Jul 02, 2016 |
PapiWata: This plant is only known to me by its Yoruba name, which is ASUWON-OYINBO, and by its name in the Efik language of Nigeria's Cross River State, where it is known as ARUWANA-SI. I would be grateful if anyone who is familiar with its botanical name could be so kind as to mention it here.
This plant's leaves have very strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, such that skin afflictions like ringworm and various rashes can be cured quickly by obtaining the juice of the ground-up and crushed fresh leaves, and applying it directly to the skin for a truly fast-acting remedy.
Equally significant is the fact that the leaves of this plant, when boiled in water to make a tea, are highly effective as a mild laxative which carries none of the unpleasant side-effects of pharmaceutical laxatives. For the elderly who may suffer from slow digestion leading to constipation, drinking a tea made with just 2 leaves from this unique plant will, in the space of about 3 hours, enable the patient to void their bowels and thereby see all associated discomfort vanish. It is recommended that this tea be used NO MORE THAN once every 3 months, so as to preserve the microbial balance in the intestine.
This plant can be found in forests and also along the edge of swamps and rivers in much of West Africa. It is not cultivated on a commercial scale, to the best of my knowledge, but, it holds ENORMOUS potential as an ingredient for improved pharmaceutical remedies. I think it's Senna alata |

Most of the Candidates they claim are current scholars with AGBAMI aren't. They were only shortlisted to take their (AGBAMI) test last year.... The list of successful candidates is not out yet.
Someone in Lagos should please help by going to their office to explain to them as time is no longer on our side. |

Health › Re: Difference Between Food Poison And Poisoned Food by MrGSO(m): 5:59am On Jan 08, 2016 |
Lexusgs430: Not only bacteria, it can be caused by any foreign object that is not meant to be present in the preparation of the meal or allergic reaction or any allergy from the person eating the meal!!! Now you're talking. Buh allergy doesn't mean the food is poisoned. The allergy might be caused by the presence of a particular substance in the food or the food as a whole and it varies from person to person. Another person might not develop allergic reaction to it. Poison is generally detrimental to the GIT and the whole body system in all persons. |

allycat: Food poisoning occurs when food is contaminated with bacteria which releases its toxins and injestion of such causes illness. Poisoned food is food that has a foreign substance added to it in order to do the person eating it harm. ehn ehn. So it's only bacteria that cause food poisoning? |

Some UTME candidates have not received their results notifications...including those that did it on the very first day of the exam. JAMB should try and do something about it because the affected candidates are disturbed already. An example is my cousin and I'm very sure there are a lot of guys out there who are also affected. |
