Your wife is really early in her pregnancy. She needs to continue the prenatal vitamin but her pain is unlikely to be caused by the pregnancy. I can't think of any pain that occurs only at midnight.

Thanks Doc for your advice. It's amazing how you still make out time to attend to our querries here even in your tight schedule; you're such an angel and the sky will always be your starting point.

I gave you an inacurate infor when I said the ache comes only at midnight, it is rather more serious at night than in the daytime. She still experience some minor ache when she wakes up from nap but the ache gets more serious when she mistakenly sleeps on her belly either in the daytime or at night and to the glory of God, the pain has gradually stopped and we can now sleep peacefully at night.

I went to a dentist about 8 years ago when I could not bear the pain in my tooth, the dentist was unavailable then so the Doctor on duty gave me some pain relieving drugs pending on when the dentist will return. The pain increased inspite the drugs. Out of desparation, I did something nasty; I tried to pull the tooth off and it broke into halves in the process, that was when i discovered that there was a hole in the tooth. The pain eventually stoped when someone adviced me to mix procain powder with gin and hold it in my mouth from some munites. I eventually went for extraction last week because that took bleeds sometimes when I brush it. Few days ago, I discovered that a tiny piece of the extracted tooth still remains.

I understood after the extraction that the tooth was in 3 pieces prior to the extraction, two were eventually removed while 1 still remains. The bleeding has stopped however. I am scared of going back for extraction due to the painful experience and also for the fact that the remaining piece is not so visible on the surface. Kindly advice on what I must do to avoid further dental issues and the dangers (if any) of failure to extract the affected tooth.

It is her first pregnancy. We went to a doctor last week who confirmed the pregnancy after some blood and urine tests. The doctor said the pain is normal and advised us to keep away from drugs. He prescribed pregnacare which we bought and instructed us to use paracetamol when the pain gets so severe.
The problem now is that we are always having sleepless night because the pain increases each time my wife wakes up at midnight to urinate. I will appreciate any advice from someone who can assist us with remedies to this nightmare. Thanks.

How far along is your wife? Does it burn when she urinates? Has she had an ultrasound this pregnancy? What part of her stomach hurts, upper or lower?

Thanks a million for your reply. However, she is just 6 weeks pregnant; she will be 29 by this May. the pain started about 3 weeks after she took in. It doesnt burn when she urinates, the pain usually starts after she urinates only at midnight and will reduce a bit or sometimes gradually stops when she throws up (vomits). Ultrasound was not done as the doctor we consulted did not suggest it. The lower part of her abdomen is actually where the ache is noticed. She is a house wife at the moment and is not subjected to any strenous work. I do not however anticipate the possibility of an STD beacuse we are faithful to each other and I married her five months ago as avirgin. We both live a healthy lifestyle and have not had any past medical issue.

Do you think it is advisable to continue with the Pregnacare?

What year was this car produced and whatz the engine capacity?

The car was not on fire. 'didn't know the exact couse but I guese it's an electrical fault. The kids were almost suffocating in the burning heat while their mum panicked.

I have heared various tales of woes from users of Cherrys. Cherry is a Chinese automobile compay which is now competing with Kia and Hyundai in Nigeria. Their advert claimed that most of their brands comes with mitsubishi engine which is often boldly written on the hood. A lady that bought Cherry Tiggo(also with mits engine) a year ago complained that a week will not pass by without a record of one mechanical fault or the other. she complained that at a point when she went to bring her kids from school, the car stopped in motion and refused to start. Door and windows failed to open, passers by have to force the door open to save their lives. She has visited Cherry motors saveral times for various repairs untill she finally told them to refund the 3.3m which was the amount she purchased the car or replace it with a new one. They bluntly refused with an excuse that the warranty covers only mechanical repairs. She eventually got a lawyer to institute a lawsuit against the company. It's a pity that we have a govt that doesnt work but I would strongly advice everyone to stay away from these cars.

Nice and lovely car I must say.
There is a possibility that the car could be underpriced because this car is not common in our roads. I mean, i've seen plenty Aveos and Epicas in our roads but have not seen this car anywhere in nigeria.

I am relatively new in the forum and would appreciate any assistance on how I can get a 2002/2004 nissan xterra. I would prefer a manual transmission, 2.4 ltr (4 cyl). It seems to be very scarce in Lagos because all i see is the 3.3 ltr type. I have a budget of about 1.3 mil.
