4. Dr. Sid and Simi Esiri

Dr Sid and Simi Osomo's 2014 wedding party!
(Simi Esiri / Instagram)
Dr. Sid and Simi Esiri got married in August
2014 in Lagos. Coming from a record label
that was at its prime at that time, Dr. Sid had
all the celebrities in the entertainment
industry that mattered attend his wedding.
What is worthy of note was the reception of
the wedding at
Oriental Hotel, it was so
beautifully decorated it looked like a royal
wedding.
However, there have been rumours filtering
around about the
crisis rocking the three-
year-old marriage. Even though both couples
have kept mute over the issue, indications of
cracks in the marriage became evident when
they both unfollowed each other on
Instagram and Simi stopped wearing her
wedding ring.

3. Banky W and Adesua Etomi

Sneak peek into Banky W & Adesua Etomi's
South African wedding (#BAAD2017 /
Instagram)
These guys are the latest celebrity couple to
be joined in holy matrimony. Banky W and
Adesua Etomi had a star-studded traditional
wedding in Lagos in November 2017. It was a
well-attended wedding, the venue of the
wedding was beautifully decorated and it
sure did shut down the internet when
pictures from the wedding started filtering
out.
Just like other celebrity couples previously
mentioned on this list, these guys took their
close family and friends to
Capetown, South
Africa for their white wedding. It was
another beautiful occasion as the venue of
the reception could match for that of any
other elite wedding around the world.

Gbenro Ajibade and his newly wedded wife,
Osas Ighodaro (Instagram)
Just like that of Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz,
the wedding ceremony between the actress,
Osas Ighodaro and actor Gbenro Ajibade had
a very flamboyant wedding in 2015. These
guys had their traditional wedding in Benin
City, home to Osas at one of the most
exquisite hotels. It was also a very big
wedding as all the stars and celebrity from
the entertainment industry turned up for the
ceremony. The wedding was also shown live
on a television station.
For the white wedding, the couple played
host to close family and friends at a grand
reception held in the
United States of
America. They are also blessed with a child.

We all know that Nigeria Celebrities are
known for having big weddings which are
usually the talk of the town.
Most times when these weddings are
elaborate, you tend to see other celebrities in
their droves attend and making a statement,
especially with their outfits and gadgets.
We take a look at five celebrity weddings
that have impressed us greatly.
1. Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz
Tiwa Savage and Tee-Billz (Instagram)
The wedding ceremony between Tiwa
Savage and Tee Billz was one that would
remain the talk of turn for years to come.
Just like most celebrity weddings, it had the
who is who in the entertainment industry in
attendance. The traditional wedding which
was held in Lagos in November 2013, was
well attended as was more like a concert
than a wedding because every music
showed up and performed. It was so big that
it was shown on live T.V.
When it was time for the white wedding,
these guys took close family and friends to
Dubai where they also had a beautiful
wedding reception. Even though a few years
after the wedding it almost collapsed as a
result of infidelity accusations, the beautiful
couple has been able to bounce back and
rekindle their love. They are blessed with one child.

Family6 Problematic Things That Nigerian Men Have Been Raised To Believe by mrkunlex(op): 5:19am On Nov 29, 2017
There is the ‘educated’ notion that a man cannot really be defined by his place of origin, rather his behavior patterns stem from his personality and beliefs. Men who originate from Nigeria (Nigerian men), however, have unanimously defied this premise, as they are popular around the world… for certain characteristics now attributed solely to them.

Of course, there is the good and the bad.

The Good: They are generous (always willing to spend money); they are intelligent, innovative and excellent in business, as well as with their jobs. They tend to dominate whatever environment they find themselves in and take charge when needed. They are also reportedly good in bed.

The Bad: They are con artists, heartbreakers, deceitful, mean–hearted, not to be trusted, uber-cocky, carelessness spend money on random women and frivolities, and are just unnecessarily randy.

While this is normal, every human has good and bad qualities, there is a chance these Nigerian men only have these traits, as a result of the way they are raised.

It is no secret that the Nigerian society is patriarchal; as such, the men are not only granted unfair advantages upon birth, they are also raised to believe certain notions that can be harmful. This eventually creates problems for not just the men, but the society and world in general.

Here are a few problematic things Nigerian men may have been raised to believe:

Monogamy is a Myth
The Nigerian man grows up watching his father cheat on his mom, while his mom cheerfully looks the other way. He sees his brothers sneak different girls into the house, and other male figures getting away with randy behaviours. He then grows up with the mindset that monogamy is the last thing he feels he owes a woman. He only feels complete when he cheats on the women he is dating, or in a relationship with.
Even if he is in love with her he still keeps side chics or even baby mamas. He is hardly bothered that the female feels hurt, used, and uncared for. He expects women to accept it as a reality of life, because he believes monogamy is a myth.

It is essential that he realizes that monogamy actually is practical and can be achieved. It is weak of a man to hide under the assumption that monogamy is a myth. Monogamy and fidelity are actually attainable traits; you just have to discipline yourself enough to pull through.

He Cannot Cry or Show Emotion
“Boys don’t cry”

Nigerian mothers and fathers ram that into the heads of their sons from a very young age. They are discouraged from sharing their feelings with one another or from having feelings at all for that matter, right from a tender age. Feelings would make them a ‘sissy’ and less of a man. Raised with this mentality, they bottle up their emotions and learn to only express them via anger or mean spirited acts. They become heard-hearted, lacking empathy. And worse, since they believe the female is the one who can have emotions, they believe that the female owes them some kind of free, maternalistic, emotional labor.

The truth, however, is that the Nigerian male, just like the female has tear ducts. He can actually produce tears if he tried. He has hormones as well and can fell things just as the female. It is okay for him to cry, to feel jealous, crave a massage, scream in fear…e.t.c All these do not make him any less of a man. It only makes him human.

He Has to Preserve the Family Name and Bring Home the Bacon
Nigerian men are raised with the belief that they will eventually be the breadwinner of their own families. They will have to go to work, make money and provide for themselves, their wives, children, and even extended family members who cannot help themselves. He is supposed to earn more than his wife, and upon marriage, the wife will have to take on his surname and bear him sons, that will pass on the family name. She will be humble and be the neck, while he remains the head.

This mentality is fostered by tradition, culture, and religion, but it is not necessarily the truth of his existence. This belief puts a lot of pressure on him and also sets him up such that he has expectations that may not even be realistic. These expectations cause problems in his marriage or lead to depression.

No, a man does not have to be the bread-winner; his wife can take up the role, if she earns more and has better work ethics. No, the wife must not take on his surname, unless she wishes to. And no, he does not have to pass on the family name. the same family name will probably not exist in the next 1000 years, so why all the pressure?

He Is More Intelligent Than the Woman And Women Are Not As Important As Other Men
“Why would you let a girl get a higher mark than you?” “How can you be here and your sister is answering all the questions?”

Right from a tender age, it is ingrained in his mind that being a male means he is the more intelligent sex. He grows up with an almost strong disregard for women. If he goes to see a doctor and it’s a female, he will request a male; if a woman in an Uber pulls up to pick him up, he will cancel the trip because “he cannot come and go and die”. If a woman does better than him socially or professionally, he feels terrible. Sexually, he likes to control women and gives little or no attention to their sexual pleasure: he doesn’t bother with pre-intimacy and only likes MouthAction as a recipient. He is different with men though. He will be late for appointments and dates with women, but be quite punctual with men. He may suddenly disappear from a relationship without ending it, but will fight to resolve relationship with his bro; he makes a promise to another man, he will keep it, but with a woman, he won’t be bothered. Even when he is in a relationship or married, he will talk endlessly to her about their lives, even ask for her opinion, but as soon as the conversation wraps up, god forbid she starts talking about her hard day at work! His eyes glaze over with boredom, and suddenly he realizes that he cannot stand gossip. Unfortunately, being a male does not mean you are the more intelligent sex. Both man and women are born equal.

He Should Be Able to Get Away With Anything
“Leave him, he is a boy”, “boys will be boys”

These comments suggest that being male in Nigeria means you can get away with just about anything. The gender socialization in patriarchal contexts prime men, not just take on positions of power, but also to believe that they are almost invincible. He is raised to feel a sense of ownership and entitlement over almost everything. An average Nigerian man does not understand why a girl would say ‘no’ to him and live happily ever after; why a company would deny him a job if nepotism is not involved; or why he should have to control his consumption of alcohol. He believes that he should be able to wield a certain amount of authority and power over every situation; otherwise, it is perceived as a mark against his masculinity.

The truth is, being a man does not absolve you from certain responsibilities. You remain accountable for your actions despite your sex.

Pride is Paramount
The average Nigerian man is cocky, controlling, and self-centered. This is probably because he is raised to believe that he is not a man if he does not have pride. To maintain this pride, he pretends to be what he is not, and engages in dubious activities… just to put up the expected façade. During a conversation, they won’t know anything about it, but they will give their own opinion and try to even force it down your throat. They will go bankrupt purchasing an item just to prove a point, or even sell his house to earn a title. It is great to have a measure of pride in oneself, but at what cost?

So think about it slowly and carefully… progress comes when you’re able to unlearn and relearn things in life. Don’t be stuck in the rut. The world is moving forward, and so should you.

CrimeThis Physically Challenged Woman Killed Her Newborn Baby In Delta -PICS by mrkunlex(op): 3:59am On Nov 29, 2017
Wonders shall never end! This is the story of a
physically challenged lady identified as Elohoh who
killed her new born baby shortly after she delivered
the boy in Ughelli North, Delta state.
She allegedly fed him hot water which burnt his
mouth, then tied a rag round he child’s nose and
mouth in a bid o suffocate the child.
Read the story as shared by Simon Ivan Ohwo….
Quote
“Physical challenged mother kills child after
delivery.
Wonders they say will never end, some of
these wonders happens beyond human
imagination, just like in this case of homicide.
A well calculated plans been executed by One
Miss Elohoh who is within her late 20s and
resides with her mother and siblings at No 1
omohwovo street,Iwhrekpokpo in ughelli
North.
Miss Elohoh who is a physically challenged and
also a plantain chips seller, murdered her
child after delivery today 27th Nov 2017 in
her home.
Report has it that she put to bed a handsome
boy late in the evening of yesterday in her
house without aid or assistance from
neighbor’s or midwife. But the cry of the
baby attracted the attention of one of the
neighbor’s, who call on others on the suppose
good news. On arrival they saw that the door
was locked and Miss Elohoh refuse to open
the door but on persistent one of the siblings
opened. The kind hearted neighbor’s did a
marathon in getting some of the needed
materials likes cloths and food for the baby
and mother since she didn’t buy any.
Jubilation was agog celebrating the arrival of
the bouncing baby boy most especially from a
physical challenged person not knowing that
miss Elohoh has evil intentions for the child.
After the celebration everyone went home
leaving Elohoh and one of the siblings since
the mom was not around that day hoping to
check on her in the morning. As faithful as
the neighbors they came in the morning to
see how Elohoh and her baby was doing only
to find out that there was no baby
anywhere. They asked Elohoh about the child
where she claim that the father came late in
the night and took the baby away having
noticed that the child was not breathing well
as claimed by her.
The neighbor’s could not believe the story
Elohoh gave and decided to interrogate her,
she held on to the same story but one of
them suggested that the sibling will give a
better story of what actually happened to
the child.
And now this is the story as told by him. He
said late in the night when everyone was
gone, Elohor boiled warm water and forced it
on the child to kill him but the child could not
take much which ended up burning the entire
mouth of the day old child as If that was not
enough when the child defied death, she
took a rag and tired it around the child nose
and mouth which suffocated the child to
death. When she noticed that the child was
dead she took the corpses and put him on
the sack loaded the sack with refuse and
plantain pills then gave it to an insane man to
throw off early in the morning as refuse.
On hearing this, the whole neighborhood was
filled with sadness of this evil act done by
this woman. Searched was made to all the
refuse dump around and finally the corpse of
the child was seen with scares and bruises
as confessed by the siblings confirming what
he has told them.
As when this report was filled this evil
woman has been handed over to security
agents at B division of the police force for
further investigation and actions also the
father of the child is still unknown as she
refuse to confess who impregnated her, and
also neither the mother or father has shown
up.
Again wonders will never end….. Only God
will help us”

PoliticsNigeria Must Focus On Solar, Gas Power To Improve Its Gdp-french Ambassador by mrkunlex(op): 7:43am On Nov 28, 2017

By Prince Okafor
THE Consul General of France in Nigeria, Mr. Laurent
Polonceaux, said the utilisation of alternative sources
of energy will help to tackle Nigeria’s electricity
problem.
Speaking during the 2017 French week economic
summit in Lagos, Polonceaux said that power remains
an important driver of all inclusive growth in any
economy in the world.
Black out as charactriesed by lack of effective power
(electricity) supply in Nigeria
“Power plays a very vital role in the economic
transformation process and we all know that doing
business becomes a whole lot easy when there is
access to cost effective power.
“In Nigeria today, obtaining power by businesses
takes an average of 45-55 per cent of business cost,
and four out of every five businesses state power as
their biggest challenge to survival. If this fundamental
challenge is dealt with, we will see an expansion in
businesses which will in turn bring about more
employment.”
He also commended the federal government’s efforts
in tackling the power challenge and business
activities in the country, adding that, “This can be
seen from the latest World Bank Ease of Doing
Business ranking that currently placed Nigeria 24
places higher from 169 to 145 and ranking as top 10
most performing economies in the world.
“While we celebrate these strides, I will implore the
Federal government through the Ministry of Power to
also focus on alternative power sources like solar, gas
power and other green alternatives. If Nigeria with
it’s current power challenge sits as the giant of Africa,
imagine a Nigeria without power challenge.’’
Meanwhile, a communiqué issued at the end of the
submit, stated that, “That there are more
opportunities than challenges in the power sector in
Nigeria and there is a need to look at the challenges
of the power sector in Nigeria as creating
opportunities for construction and energy producing
companies.
“There isn’t statistics to support the fact that the
availability of power is a limitation on the growth of
the Nigerian economy as in the year 2015 there was
greater growth with lower power production and this
shows that there are other factors that affect the
growth and development of the Nigerian economy
outside power.”
The communiqué also stated: “There is a need to
increase the generation of power as this will have a
ripple effect on the improvement on the Nigerian
economy for even though there is an improvement in
the sector, there is still a need for there to be a
consistent growth in this sector.
“There is an increase in the GDP figures of Nigeria for
Quarter 3 of 2017 which stands at 1.4 percent and the
growth from the statistics seems to be majorly from
the slight growth in the oil and gas sector. This means
that if the growth in the oil and gas sector is not
sustained there might be a recession.
“Nigeria is plagued with inter-ministerial coordination
and legacy issues that poses a challenge to being
able to take up the opportunities that are available in
the Nigerian economy and especially in the power
sector.
“Disparities in the foreign exchange on the
importation of equipment and the operations of such
operations in Nigeria also adversely affects the
opportunities that can be harnessed in the power
sector.

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi
has called on Nigerians to continue to pray for his
‘child’ President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to him, all the current government needed
from Nigerians now is prayer and constructive
criticisms.
He spoke in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Monday
during the opening of the Nigeria Union of Journalists
(NUJ), Oyo State Council week themed “Recession,
Restructuring: The Way Forward”.
The royal father said, said “Even President Buhari is
my child, you must pray that your child is better than
you. We pray that by their time they will do better
than us. It is not about Christianity or Islam, because
we don’t have documented history.
What we call Orisa today are heroes. People we
know as hero for example Ogun is the god of iron,
there was iron before Ogun but Ogun because Ogun
made cutlass. I am not saying we should not
celebrate Ogun but the day you become king, you
don’t worship any god anymore.
“We are not in the 1st century anymore, what is
called witchcraft is poverty, it is negatively, you will
not see Folorunsho Alakija as witchcraft. Osi lonje
Aje, Aje lonje Osi (It is poverty that is called
witchcraft, witchcraft is what is called poverty.
When there is so much poverty, the people in
poverty will think that everybody will come to their
level. It is the myth that is killing African.
“We are all guilty, we have blood in our hands, when
you see people looking for promotion, they will go to
Alfa, Pastor, Babalawo.
“Unless we stop all these blood everywhere, we can’t
get it right in Nigeria. Blame yourself and the
superstition, tell me what you were making before
the white men came.
He added that President Muhammadu Buhari has
started war against corruption in government as he
urged traditional rulers to begin the war in the
traditional institution.
He said “Buhari has started the war on corruption in
government, you need to start checking corruption in
the traditional institutions.
“Eradicate secret society, do an enlightenment act.
We are dying, is worse than Boko Haram, it is worse
than disaster.
“A king should not belong to any secret society, I
don’t belong to one. The meaning of government is
Alakoso (Administrator). And not a society of kings.
Speaking further, the monarch said he would
continue to challenge the status quo, stressing that
most people who were in the habit of challenging the
existing belief, are always termed ‘controversial.’
He added, “I must be controversial, when you are
saying the truth, you must be controversial, things
that will challenge the statusquo. I challenge the
statusquo, that is why I remain controversial.”

Bobrisky is super pissed with his mystery bae, and to
teach the unknown folk a lesson, he has gone off to
have mindblowing $ex with an ex.
Drama started over the weekend when Bobrisky
revealed why he would no longer be attending
Oritsefemi’s Lagos wedding. According to him, his
‘bae’ banned him from attending the high-profile
event, and this did not go down well with our
favourite crossdresser.
To get his revenge, Bobrisky took to his SnapChat last
night to rant about what he intended to do, and then
he posted the photo of his outfit, plus a pack of
condom. He was not joking at all.
This is the first time he would be talking about Cheat!
ng on his significant other. Only last month, Bobrisky
shut down the damn internet when he announced
that he ‘squirts’ when he makes love with bae.
Well, dude is squirting for another partner, and we
can’t wait to see how this pans out for him.

CrimeRe: Tragedy As Deadly Cult Group, badoo Gang Strikes Again;kills RCCG Pastor In Iko. by mrkunlex(op): 9:27pm On Nov 26, 2017
Nigeriadondie:
undecided How can one live in a Badoo infested area and not be armed? I expect Nigerians now to take security issues into their hands.
The last time I checked, all the police and other security agencies are guarding the rich and top politicians while the lives of the common masses are of no worth.
yeah true talk.they should not put their trust on police, they should use self defence.everybody supported self defence, kill any body you know is among the so called baddo, dnt have mercy on them.take note my people
CrimeTragedy As Deadly Cult Group, badoo Gang Strikes Again;kills RCCG Pastor In Iko. by mrkunlex(op): 7:22pm On Nov 26, 2017
The deadly badoo gang has reportedly struck again in
the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, leaving a RCCG
pastor dead after the attack.
According to a report by The Nation, a Redeemed
Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor was killed at
the hours of Sunday by suspected members of the
Badoo ritual gang.
His wife and 10-month-old baby were said to have
been found unconscious and rushed to Ikorodu
General Hospital by policemen from Igbogbo Division.
The attack occurred few hours after acting Police
Commissioner Imohimi Edgal met with all
stakeholders at the palace of the Ikorodu monarch,
Oba Abdulrasheed Shotobi on the menace of ritual
killings.
It was gathered that the assailants smashed the
head of the pastor identified as Victor Kanayo with
two big stones, which were said to have been found
beside him.
The Nation gathered that the murderers cut the iron
bars on the window of the bungalow the family lived
in before entering the house.
This is coming on the heels of several efforts by the
police to contain the resurgence of the badoo killings
which died down after massive raids of several
shrines in Agbowa and Imota axis suspected to be
the base of the cultists.
According to sources, the pastor and his family were
the only ones living in the building because the
landlord moved out some months ago as a result of
increased insecurity.
The source said: “The pastor was an easy going
person. His wife and child are unconscious as I speak
to you. They were rushed the general hospital. The
police took them them.
More details later…

In the world of entertainment, there are
criteria that lead to success and not just

Car TalkAfter 4 Months Of Marriage, lady Discovers Her Husband Is A Car Wash & Not A Car. by mrkunlex(op): 9:59am On Nov 26, 2017
This is a pathetic story of a beautiful
young lady of 25 years who gets to know
that her husband of four months is a car
wash boy and not a car dealer as he had
made her believe during courtship.
During courtship, the lady said he was always
coming to visit her with different cars and
when she asked him, he told her he is a car
dealer.
The truth was revealed when after four
months into their union she discovered he
works at a car wash bay.
Read the post below:-
“HELP! I am 25years old. I have been married
for 4 months now but I have really regretted
and I need your help.
Before I married my husband, he used to
bring all sought of cars to visit me in my
house and when I asked the job he does, he
told me that he is a car dealer. Just 3 months
after our marriage, I got to know that he
works at a car washing bay.
So the cars he brought to show to me were
cars that were left for them to wash at the
washing bay.
How could he lie to me like that?
How can I trust him in this marriage?
The most painful part is that I am a graduate
and I just got to know that he is not a
graduate. Please help me because I am very
confused.”
Please what should I do?
