Also, you keep shouting that it sounds very similar, being similar doesn't hold anything.
You need to be sure and get fact evidence before calling someone out, not base of being similar or not.

You won, at least I bought one. I'm selling it off soon, cos even if transsoin devices are bad, I would be better off upgrading to Samsung n or HTC and the likes instead of allowing myself to be bullied into another chinko product of Xiaomi where the marketers called fans on Nairaland act like Jesus whenever questions are asked.

bringing up my friend's phone situation was to encourage her...

stating my phone's situations was to tell her how durable the phone is ( i remembered when my infinix hot 3pro stated having volume button issue after 6months)

if the phone should fall from a table, how sure are you that the screen will shatter (that will depend on the height)...

lastly, i believed that anybody that can find his/her way to this thread have potentially find a solution to his/her phone's issue, irrespective of the problem

As I am new to xiaomi phones I asked a friend about it and he said they are nice but their parts are scarce (in Nigeria) should there be a need for it. Can anyone advise me on this please, even if its not xiaomi.

a friend was once in the same shoe, she was told that Xiaomi parts are not in Nigeria, so she decided to go with the devil she know, and the devil is showing her pepper now.

I started using RN4x in 2017 and Redmi note 7 a year ago, both are still strong and I've never for once open the two devices till date.

Xiaomi devices are nice, and i don't think u will be needing their parts once you can handle them well.

finally, critically evaluate what u want in a phone, and if there is any Xiaomi device that tick all the boxes, then you won't regret buying their device..... the choice is yours

a friend of mine in taraba needs rn8/pro, and i don't think they can wait for waybill from far place due to the nature of their job, i don't know if there is any tout from taraba state here, or does oga jboixxx know of any store where i can tell them to go and get it....

note: I'm not the buyer, and neither do i stay in taraba, just wanna link up or get an address. the person could have wait 4 rn9s but he needed a fone ASAP

i think its very simple,
if you want a flagship experience, get a 2year old s9+

if you want a peace of mind, get a new phone, I'm sure there are other new phones that can serve you well within 100-130k.

it all goes down to what you wanna do with it (i know sum1 with s9, but she only use it 2 snap pictures) . so analyse ur needs in a phone over your want and choose wisely.

note: even a 6months old phone can have issues, depending on the previous user, also, a 2years old phone can be issue free too.

few weeks ago, a friend of mine got an iPhone 8 for 130k, and i said to myself, i can never buy a second hand fone for 130k, that's my individual opinion.... so decide for yourself...

Just about 10mins ago I was just managing to type on WhatsApp and it stop blinking as I lock the phone it started again

i experienced this sometimes in January on my RN7, I only switched off the fone and on it back and everything was okay

I apologize for my use of strong language then... I actually follow the Indian's group on telegram because I get to learn a thing or two about phones, same way I learn here.

the truth is that, they will end up confusing you more. you will be seeing unreasonable complains, not just with Xiaomi, but all other phone brands too, try other groups and see for yourself

If I were you, I won't even contemplate. I'll get the RN9 Pro. Because given Xiaomi trend, RNX might be nothing spectacular. It'll be a case of RN8 and RN7.

but i believe they will like to hype the X, as such they will extremely gamble on it.... waiting for RedmiX comes October (in shaa Allah)
