Which Realme did the person buy? Realme phones are just as good as xiaomi phones so I'm trying to understand why he would vent

I can't remember. The screenshot was posted here a couple of months back. It was obvious the realme wasn't his preferred device.

He actually went to Xiaomi Facebook page to post the new phone and vent is disappointed at the same time grin

Android 9 - Open ADM or IDMP, Copy direct link address it picks it up.

Android 10 - Google prevents Third party apps from getting access to the clipboard so you have to go and add the the copied link manually to the downloader

How to manually update..

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 10 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process

Redmi note 9 uses MIUI. It's only Mi A series that use Stock android. If you mean MIUI 12. Relax a little bit. I'm 100 percent sure that before the ending of 2021 it will be ready for download. Calm down first.
