Nollywood actor and Mr Nigeria 2010, KennethOkolie and his US-based wife Jessica are holding their white wedding on December 16th, 2017 and have released pre-wedding photos. They had their traditional wedding earlier this year - April 15th. Congrats to them.

Popular Yoruba actress, Remi Oshodi, says her debut acting role fetched her N35.
The actress, who is popularly known as Remi Surutu, revealed this in an interview in Lagos on Wednesday.

She said: “I kicked off my acting career in 1985 with the classic TV series “Village Headmaster” and “Sparks”. My first paycheck as an actress was N35 for my role in the movie “Sparks.” I also earned N75 for my role in “Village Headmaster.” I then took a break from acting to work as a mortician at the popular funeral service company, Ebony Caskets. I returned to the Nigerian film industry after a few years.” Having starred in over a 100 movies, Ms. Oshodi said she has paid her dues.

“One of the things I am grateful for in my career is longevity and continued relevance.
“I also think the fact that my parents exposed me to the best of education has made me the woman that I am today. I always tell people that the greatest gift you can give your child is a solid education.

“If I were an illiterate, I am sure we won’t be having this interview because I will be unable to express myself. I know that a lot of people are surprised whenever they discover that I can speak good English. I don’t blame them though, I guess that because I am a Yoruba actress, some feel I may be a dropout or unable to express myself in English.”

Back in July, the pretty actress lost her daughter, Elizabeth, to sickle cell anemia.

Getting her to speak about her daughter’s last moments was not easy.
She however, revealed that she intends to immortalise her daughter very soon.

“I plan to immortalise my daughter by establishing a foundation in her honour. This is because she was always willing to impact people’s lives. I never knew I was going to lose my daughter, but she was encouraging me to go ahead to start helping people. “Despite being hospitalised at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, my daughter insisted that I offset other patients’ medical bills.

So many doctors can attest to the fact that I was paying other patients bills. I bought drugs for countless patients and I also paid for dialysis treatment.

Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos becomes the richest person in the world again after adding $6.8 billion to his net worth overnight


According to Forbes, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is now the richest person in the world for the second time as Amazon stock opened up more than 8% higher than Thursday’s close, adding nearly $7 billion to Bezos’ net worth overnight.
Bezos had a net worth of $89.7 billion, as of the start of trading on Friday, while Gates had a net worth of $90.1 billion, up $550 million from yesterday. Then by 10:15 a.m. Eastern, Amazon stock had climbed nearly 2% since the market opened, adding $900 million to Bezos’ net worth and putting him in the No. 1 spot with a net worth of $90.6 billion versus Gates’ $90.1 billion at that time.

Amazon stock surged in after-hours trading on Thursday after the company reported strong third quarter earnings. Amazon reported $43.7 billion in revenue, well above the $42.1 billion analysts expected.

Bezos became the richest person in the world for the first time three months ago as Amazon stock hit an all-time high on July 27, just before Amazon reported its second quarter earnings. But Bezos’ first time at the top of Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires List only lasted a few hours.

Bezos first joined the Forbes 400 in 1998, one year after Amazon went public, with a net worth of $1.6 billion.

The young have grown, the young should reign.

As 2019 elections draw nearer, we need to remind ourselves about the crucial state of the nation whereby the economy has grown from bad to worse and everything scattering in every sector.

Democracy in Nigeria is a government by the people for some people to share the cake and the food in it. It is a democracy ruled by a set of people repeatedly, and this set of people are of the old class, the old people ruling a great, populous and fertile land nation with an old brain. It calls for a momentum sacrifice for the youths to stand up and take it by chance, we need to push away these Old cabals with old brains away.

Nigerian youth movement was the first nationalist organisation ever to bring within its fold, the nationalist and politically conscious elements in Nigeria. Though NYM later splitted, due to some disagreement but it's breaking brought Dr nnamdi azikwe and Chief obafemi Awolowo to lime light and they both did well in their respective regions as a Prime Minister and as the first ceremonial president.

Many will argue with me, but it's a reality, Action group (Ag) when founded in 1950, Awolowo makes it official in 1951 through his inaugural speech in owo in ondo state. Introduce self government and the attainment of independence as a nation. And going back to inception the (NYM) produced this great political party.

Am not being political here, but let's support the likes of Yul Edochie for anambra, seyi makinde for Oyo state, Ismail Damola Fantola for Ibadan north and all younger contestants willing to change the direction wind of the great nation, we need youths will fresh brains and knowledge, with good ambition and experience to turn this fertile desert to a fertile spring nation. "the young have grown, the youth must reign".

Meet the youngest candidate contesting for state house of Assembly member in Ibadan Oyo state.


Meet this young man contesting for state house of assembly member, Ibadan north constituency 1 in Ibadan Oyo state towards 2019 election under People's Democratic Party (P.D.P).
Who is this young man?

His name is Ismail Damola Fantola, an intelligent young man who have a great passion and ambition in politics.

He is very active in politics and a registered member of people's Democratic Party PDP. According to my research about him, he has a great passion for his community and for his people to allow them enjoy the benefits of government in Oyo state and especially in his constituency if voted in.

Youth are now coming out for political ambition and I think it's a good and welcome development because they still have the brain, fear of God and power to run the government without being greedy or self-centered. Let's support this development for the betterment of our great nation.

I will be publishing my recent interview with him where he will point out his ambition for his people in his community (Ibadan north constituency 1) and in Ibadan as a whole.

Que: Hello sir can we meet you?
Response : I'm Ismail Adedamola Fantola
Que : which school are you and what course are you studying ?
Response : I'm a student of Lautech, studying Agricultural Economics.

Que: when and why did you join politics?
Response : I was born into politics and I joined at a very early stage of my life. I joined because I am interested in making accountable representation for my people and to serve them with honesty.

Que : have you involved yourself in school politics before?
Response? NO

Que : who encouraged you to go into politics?
Response : I am always encouraged with whatever I am doing, and since I have been into politics for a long time, I'm willing to go further.
Que : under which political party are you contesting?
Response : People's Democratic Party

Que : why did you choose this party?
Response : I started politics under this party when Elder Wole Oyelese and others brought it to Oyo state, before we decamped to SDP in 2015 and came back to PDP after Senator Makarfi visited Oyo state for reconciliation meeting.

Que : As a young man do you think you will get support from the old people you met in the party?
Response : Well, the Not-too-young-to-run bill passed by the National Assembly is highly supported by elders and the good people of our society, so far, elders are supporting me.

Que : which post are you contesting for?
Response : member, Oyo state house of assembly, Ibadan north constituency 1.

Que : why did you choose this post ?
Response : because it is one of the major posts that will make me get closer to the people, I'm representing, I am a grass-root politician and I love my people.

Que : what are your aims and ambitions if you are eventually voted in?
Response : I will ensure true representation, transparency and accountability. Contribute to making laws that will make lives better for my people.

Que : we all know going for a political post needs good finance. Where are you getting your financial supports from?
Response : I get financial support from my parents and my well wishers.

Que : Are you into other business ?
Response : Just like how I grew into politics, I have been in agricultural business for long. My Dad is a farmer and I have my farm too.

Que : what are your challenges in politics?
Response : In Nigeria, people will always be expecting money from you once you come out to contest for a post because they believe you're going there to make money. So the challenge is finance but God is in control.

Que : What do you think about present state of oyo state? Is the present government trying its best?
Response : the state is in danger if it continues to this way, this kind of situation where it doesn't seems like we are in a democratic government. The so called leaders do things in there own way and never seek public opinions, I can only say the leaders in our state are only trying to be good to themself and not to the people of the state. Their best is not good enough. He should just finish his tenure and leave. The people can't wait to bid him farewell.

Que : Their was a report that oyo state governor select many traditional rulers in Ibadan without the consent of the Olubadan. How true is this? And what do you think about it?
Response : Sorry, I don't want to talk about it.

Que : as a young man, what is your opinion about young people taking in politics?
Response: it is a great development, It will make hardworking, respectful and intelligent youths participate.

Que : how old are you?
Response : smiles. I'm in my 20s.

Que: in your previous rally n in all your posters, oyo state governorship aspirant Seyi Makinde always appear in all... Why are you promoting him?
Response : Smile. He is my leader so I have to promote him and I'm very happy with him, I am also contented to be associated with someone running for office with dignity and trying to be the CHANGE we desire in our polity and country.

Que : Why do you have so much trust and boldness in Seyi Makinde?
Response: Like I said, he has dignity and trying to be the change we desire. He is willing to build a better society which we will support him to do.

Que : Do you think PDP will choose Seyi Makinde as their candidate?
Response : I think Engr. Seyi Makinde is the best product any party can present now. He should be chosen.

Que : on a lighter mood, it seems you're not married, are you single?
Response : smiles. I am not married but I won't want to talk about my relationship status, maybe I'm single, maybe I'm not.

Que : How do you intend to control pressure from peer groups as a young man?
Response : there is no pressure and there can't be

Que : who are your mentor in politics?
Response : Engr. Oluseyi Makinde is my mentor

Que : why did you choose him as your mentor?
Response : I see him as welfarist with great political ideology, devoid of violence and unprogressive sentiments.

Que: how do you see Nigerian politics from your own angle?
Response : Nigeria is presently in the hands of deceivers and thieves acting as SAINT.

Que : Did your parents support your political ambition?

Response : I have wonderful parents that support me in whatever I do and correct me whenever I make mistake.
