RomanceRe: Ladies Are The Ones Who Determine If A Man Should Take Them Serious. by MrPeaceman(m): 12:47pm On Jan 02, 2015
The fact is that the point you are stressing is correct. The question now is, how? How should they carry theirselves? Many girls I believe will even be more confused here, though will think and act like they really know how. Forming hard to get doesn't make him take you serious. In fact, decent and serious guys don't stand the stress, but playas do. [left]I think the op is emphasizing maturity and sense of purpose, rather than being a fake et al.

Hello kind hearted individuals, I write books; motivationals, not novels. The fact now is that I'm not financially capable to do the publications. As I type now, I'm long done with one which I have a burning desire to publish; it is for students, and I know they will be blessed by it. Please, I hope someone will be willing to help, with terms and conditions that are negotiable. Please, I beg again. My number is 08161186714

shyna01:
*spreading mat to read comments *
This is just the definition of the immaturity we are talking about. When will you people just grow up and stop spreading mats? Its not a must to comment if you don't have an opinion. The attitude of playing with everything is why we are still suffering. Can we be sober for once and treat issues accordingly? This is not funny, we find funny things in jokes section.
Nairaland GeneralRe: 2015 Advise For Nairaland by MrPeaceman(op):
4 There should be more motivation:
Thanks to babyosisi and her crew for the just concluded essay contest. These kind of things speaks about the calibre of men and women on nairaland. Also, the nairaland inter-school debate et al are very good initiatives. There should be more-from philantropic nairalanders.
5 Lets embrace Peace and Unity:
Avoid tribal war and e-fights; there is no gain except violence, retardation etc. I see a more peaceful Nigeria after 2015 elections. We are one indivisible entity, and the earlier we accept the fact and live with it, the better for us all.
6 Criticize constructively:
It is not a bad thing to criticize or argue, but the idea of direct insults, especially in politics is very immature and animalistic. What do you just gain in calling your president "shoeless or clueless"? It doesn't make him step down. You can only try to convince people on why they should vote him out with tenable reasons. Name calling won't convince people. You can drive your point in a more decent manner. We are not animals, we are sensible individuals. Thank you.

Nairaland General2015 Advise For Nairaland by MrPeaceman(op): 8:13am On Jan 01, 2015
1 Moderators should improve:
Though they are trying, they should try harder to properly evaluate threads before updating it on front page. Nairaland is a reputable international forum, therefore; it should operate in more standard ways. I mean, some threads, eventhough they convey good messages, lack conherence. At least, the mods can pm the monickers and make them edit their threads to be more comprehensibe. Some other threads are not just front page worthy, and mods should stop the idea of favouring particular monickers for FP sake, even when others have better contents. Mods should be fair to all-this is not politics.
2 Kids should grow up:
when I say "kids", I do not connote age wise. At 40, one can still be a fool. What is the meaning of litering the threads with "first to comment? How does that make you more relevant? Its not funny; its the height of immaturity and very annoying. You don't even contribute meaningfuly. Where are the mods to ban such monickers? You are not a kid because you are young, you are only a kid because you act like a kid.
3 Our youthful energy should be better chanelled:
Alot of energy is being wasted in romance section. Guys and girls doing qualitative research equivalent to a doctoral thesisis about relationships. The fact is that, you are channelling your energy in the wrong direction; researching on "25 ways to decode a girl's greenlight" is not worth it. Do the needful, and when you are successful, their greenlight will be very visibe all around you without you stressing to decode it. Be more purposeful today!
EducationStop All These University And Course Superiority by MrPeaceman(op): 6:35pm On Nov 15, 2014
Its a recent trend now for students on nairaland coming to express their sentimental and prejudiced view of some universities or some course7. One just sits in the comfort of his room to state facts lacking empirical basis and tenability. [left]No course is inferior or superior. We now choose carrears based on what othess think about it, no longer on the basis of our passion. People like Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe had a passion, and they followed it. Maybe if it was now, they would have been pressurized to become frustrated Doctors or Engineers because it isn't their passion. Choose a carrea that you match and can excel in to inestimable height. People are now made to think that they are not intelligent enough if they don't go for medicine or law, is that really so? Do we really need only Doctors and Lawyers in the country? Or engineers? Why would people just boast with their certificates even, especially the sciences. Nigeria is getting insults because she want to purchase arms, are there no eng ineers in the country? While Nigerian engineers are boasting of their certificates, the Americans are thinking of the next possible invention. Why do you think your university is best? Is it just by making noise? Real universities and their students are working hard....there you go shouting with nothing to show for it. We should channel those energies into into more resourceful ventures, for the growth of this country.

PoliticsWhy Do We Feel So Inferior? by MrPeaceman(op): 2:33pm On Oct 31, 2014
It practically amazes me on what I encounter on daily basis. The attitudes of most of us, we always do things because we want to feel superior. That superiority drive is propagated by inferiority complex. Be contented with who you are, stop the fake life. Ok, let me be more practical, most of us like to dress to impress people and also to meke them reason us above. We buy cars, even the ones we didn't need just to show we are BIG. You think people will reason you less when you drive the average car or dress moderately. When it even comes to the things we buy, we prefer oversee made than locally made, even when they are the same interms of quality. In line with this, many local companies have been influenced with the inferiority complex, hence you always see "made in China" tag in their products. My dear Nigerians, who are we deceiving? Is this how we are going to develope? Lets change our attitude.

EducationRe: Does School One Attend Contribute So Much To A Childs Intellectual Development? by MrPeaceman(m): 6:50pm On Oct 24, 2014
Aggregate of the proportion of four (4) factors. His innate intelligence + family + environment + school. His natural I.Q holds the strongest influence ( 50% ), the others sums up 50%.
EducationRe: Brillancy Of A Child, What's Responsible? by MrPeaceman(m): 10:51pm On Oct 19, 2014
Doclight:
is God discriminating?
Why would he do that?
Everybody is created by God differently, but equally. Your talent(s) differ from mine..... Some children are just born geniuses, yes, then coupled with good environment, they become exceptional. But everybody is born with a minimum level of intelligence, the environment has a role to play in shaping it.
A child that is not an academic genius could be a good singer, or a footballer etc... So, God is not discriminatory, we all can't have the same talents. Your environment has a role to play on the talent that God created you with, your env. can make or mare you.

EducationRe: Can I Sue My Vice Chancellor by MrPeaceman(m): 8:21pm On Oct 19, 2014
Please, enough with the "you can't graduate" scare... Because of fears of fallacious tendencies, we are always taking every nonsense. How can one be forcefully made a citizen of a state he shouldn't and didn't want to be part of? This is the most tenable facet of the story. @op, sue the school, not the VC, he is only a private individual. If the court should give an unprejudiced judgement, nobody can stop you from not graduating. Its high time we learn to say NO to nonsense.

EducationRe: Can YOU Burn Your Certificates In Exchange For $10million? And WHY? by MrPeaceman(m): 10:31am On Oct 19, 2014
From a logical point of view; the certificate is not the most important, but the knowledge gotten. The certificate is only an evidence of the knowledge gotten. The most important thing is "you having the knowledge". There are people having certificates without the knowledge.
But then, this is a hard question... I can't burn my hard earned certificate for any amount, I will feel guilty and won't forgive myself. Its not different from selling your birth right for food.
I believe I'll work and make my own money (more than $10million) without any foooolish gamble. YES!!!

EducationRe: 50 Best Universities In Nigeria In 2014! [FULL LIST] by MrPeaceman(m): 4:25pm On Oct 17, 2014
How tenable is the criteria being used? Webometric officials simply rate universities according to their online works.... I suppose "quality education" goes far beyond that. What shall it profit a university with heavy online works, but it students are not taught well? When its students learn in harsh conditions etc. A university should be recognized as best, in respect to the quality of its graduants...... I'm not trying to dispute the credibility of the universities that appear up there, but however, if you actually mean the best universities in my perception, some universities shouldn't be in some positions up there.

EducationRe: Fate Of A Botany Student. by MrPeaceman(m): 6:56pm On Oct 16, 2014
You really don't need to be skeptical about your course, its a superb course. Study it more passionately, and not let its employment oppurtunity disturb you. Unemployment is everywhere and those who studied the so called overated courses are roaming in the streets. As a botanist, you have an advantage. In the Nigerian system, you can almost work everywhere irrespective of your discipline, you name it. Now, your advantage is that, your discipline being a specialized one, you might be lucky to be taken by some big agro-companies where your professional service as a botanist is needed, and trust me, the pay must be a fat one. They won't need an accountant or ecostatician to do the job, because it requires professional handling. Whereas you that read botany could become an accountant in a bank or somewhere else. I'm not talking about oppurtunities outside Nigeria now.
The problem is that, we abandoned agriculture before, that explains the askance look on agricultural courses. But now, agriculture is resurfacing, and alot of agricultural research centres are springing up, more and more to come up, so they really need YOU. Your prospects are high because Nigeria is coming back to agriculture.
EducationRe: S.U.G Presidentship Not A Do Or Die Says Minimah by MrPeaceman(m): 4:46pm On Oct 16, 2014
Everybody is entitled to his or her goal, no matter how funny. There is still a lot of time, till atleast 2 or 3 hundred level. I suggest you will be properly acquainted with the procedures and requirements when you resume campus. To throw some lights for the sake of your curiousity; it can be a do or die affair, depending on (1) The university, (2) the people you are contesting with. In the later aspect, it could threaten your life if the people you are contesting with are bloody cultists that are determined to murder whoever they see as a threat. The former depends on the security structure of the school, then you tend to be safe within the school. UNIBEN and UNILORIN for example are schools with strong security system.
On a concluding note, I know you are zealous about this, as that prompted this thread. But, I'll advice, not against you aiming for SUG, but against you concentrating all your time and effort in the pursuit of it, at the detriment of your academics which is the primary reason you are there. A word is enough...

EducationRe: How To Be A Nigerian Lawyer by MrPeaceman(m): 12:29am On Oct 15, 2014
@op, you were kind of on point, but you are rather sounding too money centered, as one who 'll compromise justice as long as money is involved, and we all are anticipating sanitization of the judicial system? And I bet you must have opened your mouth to criticise the government, and I doubt you are way better? We really need a change in this country, it starts from you and I.

mesoade:
i was expecting to c sumtin lyk 12 1st class holders considering the level of the sadistic lecturers we have in d federal universities.
Who told you that lecturers are saddists? Please, don't get that negative connotation. Saddism is a concept that is used by lazy students to describe their lecturers, as an excuse for failing. I mean, if lecturers were saddists, how then did the 48 students graduate with firstclass? Their scripts were not marked by the so called saddist lecturers? Students should simply work hard and do what is expected of them, and nobody will deny you your grade. A typical student gets a D, he says, "that lecturer gave me a D". The same student gets an A in another course, and he proudly says "I got an A". Work hard, it pays. Eventhough saddist lecturers exists, they are just too few to truncate your hardwork.
