Pls how will I know if my package has arrived Nigeria?

My package was sent via USPS since 27th February and departed Kentucky airport since 8th March. Since then its status has not change. Is it supposed to take that long from Cincinnati airport to Nigeria?

Pls I need any help I can get.

Besides this procedure has been on ground for most UK schools.

Use any I.d number you have available like Intl passport or voters card number, then get your ptdf pin. Finish your application while you wait for your NIN. When it comes edit the number you used n fix ur NIN. The verify it. Shi ke nan.

its strange that University of Leeds was not included in the list this year.

many are getting worked up over nothing. if by may there is no word from ptdf, then concerns can be raised. prior to this year the interview was usually held in the month of may. so no cause for alarm.

I think the test is going to hold in Lagos only. But I am not so sure about it. I stay in Kd and I was invited to take the test in lag.

Please what class of degree did you graduate with?
someone is telling me only first class are invited and I am yet to be convinced.

I have done all that when they ask me to apply. And in my application I told I am also applying to ptdf as my sponsor

My advice for you at this stage is stop pursuing any thing further with the school (if you don't intend on sponsoring your self). let ptdf do what they said on their site. I know you have already paid app fees, but let it go.

are you sure abt this? coz I was told only F/G/C have such an arrangement.

I don't think F/G/C scholarship award is going to be according to state since the schools are the once to decide who they want. But the UK award might be state wise, since ptdf are paying entirely for the candidate will little or no subsidy from the schools.
I also feel that's y the F/G/C award is going mysteriously.

Abeg which list are you talking about, G/F/C or UK?

The list (UK SHORTLISTED applicants) can take as long as September before it is released.
But the fact that they(ptdf) are the once to apply to the schools means they will have to ask for the transcript of those who scale through before mid july or July ending. so I believe by ending June or early July we should expect some movements.

I can tell you AUTHORITATIVELY that the marking scheme for PhD applicants posted on this forum is wrong, at least its not what was on the table while I was being interviewed. I remember that qualification (Bachelors plus Masters) was a max of 30 marks.
If you think you did well and you haven't bn contacted, remain hopeful..

Let me take their manipulations as the truth, after all we are Nigerians of today and that is what the today leaders are trained to do, lies. My request please, is DPR should tell the police that DPR is a superior, sincere, integrity and devoid of manipulations in employment. Six or seven month after employment test applicants are yet to hear from DPR. If they have employed, the employed names should be listed against their states and this is where the superiority will be judged against the Nigerian Police. Just like the Northern youth said, that the youths are not employed because they don't know anybody at the top even when they are best qualified. This is happening not only in the north but all over the states. If only the ordinary Nigerian youth respective of your region come together and hold the leaders responsible for their nightmares. I will continue to talk about DPR and others as they come. Mr Buhari will also say is not aware of all the lopsided employment, the Northern youth that voted for him massively are not considered because the are from poor home even when they merit the employment their name will be changed with the child of politicians or the rich pass or fail because they are unknown.

this is the reality of today. its not about north or south, its about the rich and the poor. employments like police and Npower can easily be posted and justified with concrete basis. But you just speak of DPR and top NNPC or PPMC opportunities and see how difficult it is for them to come out and make it transparent. even if they go by allocation for each state, you will find maybe just two persons who knew no one and landed the job in an entire region. we must look for accountable leaders in this nation.

MY OWN CASE WAS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS WITHIN THE SAME UI. (UI used 3 panels today)

From my own personal experience , the interview has no standard pathern .....you could be asked anything .......

below are my experience today at UI, IBADAN (Msc) .....


1. after i introduced myself .....immediately they learnt i was from the EAST ( IGBO ORIGIN) , they waited for like 2 mins and started murmoring to each other in Hausa language ....(All of the 5 persons that made up the panel were Hausas).

2. i was not asked a single question from my SOP ....they didnt even open it ....nor cared about it.

3. All the questions i was asked were deep, tough and technical (Civil engineering questions ) my 1st degree course .
( one of them is a Prof of Civil Engineering ) ....NOTE : THIS IS OUTSIDE THE CONTEXT OF THE INTERVIEW....recall that from the invitation letter, we were only told to make a presentation of our Statement of Purpose .......This is very unfair to me .

4. i was asked up to 10 questions ......and my interview lasted up to 25min . ( while others were asked barely 2 questions from their SOP ...with a max interview duration of 4min)


5. I was asked several questions about my projecf work .....and when i explained the title and summary to them......they nullified it ...simply because it was not an oil and gas related project topic .....despite how best i tried to convince them ...that it was just an undergraduate project ..and must not be oil and gas related.

6. i was even given some tough and complex calculations to do (structural analysis of indeterminate structures.....and i was not even allowed to solve , i was told to produce the answer without solving ......which was practically impossible ......i told them the steps to solve it ....they nullified it...insisting i must produce the answer.


7. And one of them kept shouting "you dont even have any publication ".......( i didnt know when it became a compulsory for an undergraduate to have research publications)

8. And two others kept asking "what state are you from ".......


MY CONCLUSION : PTDF is dominated by the Northerners and they are BITTERLY BIASED .....they seems to appear harsh on some persons from a particular part of the country .

Using a WRITTEN APTITUDE TEST to assess everyone would have been fair to all the applicants and not this Biased method of interview where some are barely asked 1 simple question in PANEL (1) and some others will be bombarded with very rigorous questions that is outside the context of the interview ... This is one of the major reason why Nigeria is a failed state..........NEPOTISM AND TRIBALISM .....

I had a similar encounter with my interviewer that was Southerner. I did my interviewer in ABU and am from taraba state. i barely got a chance to say anything after they discovered I was already employed in a chemical plant. they checked absolutely nothing from my SOP, they dropped it by the side to my face and insisted I was blocking other peoples chances by applying. then they started firing some questions from pipeline and petroleum production ( I studied chemical engineering and frankly have little knowledge about petroleum engineering). one asked if I had ever impacted anyone in my life aside myself because I said I had no award or publication. the whole interview was somehow but I believe God is in control.
