Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode on Saturday urged two allies of President Muhammadu Buhari, Buba Galadima and Customs Comptroller General, Hameed Ali to compel the president to resign.

Fani-Kayode said both men should urge the president to resign before he does “more damage to Nigeria.”

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain made the call in a post on his Twitter handle.

“‘Buhari’s govt. has derailed’- Hameed Ali. ‘Buhari’s govt. is run by mere propaganda’- Buba Galadima.
.
“These 2 men are Buhari’s oldest and closest friends. Even they are fed up. They should tell their friend to resign and go back to Daura before he does more damage to Nigeria,” the tweet reads.

Fani-Kayode was reacting to a statement made by Galadima saying some Buhari’s policies were based on mere propaganda.

Galadima said this while faulting claims that the Buhari’s government has used Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to grant farmers loan and financial enablement.

He insisted that the current Agricultural policies of the Buhari’s government was not being felt by farmers in the country.

Also, Ali said the Buhari-led government was made up of 50 per cent from the Peoples Democratic Party.

He said the current government has not been able to move forward and fulfil its campaign promises.

According to him, most of those calling the shots in the government were those who never believed in the President’s vision.

No fewer than 35,000 members from the People Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday decamped to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi state.

Leading thousands of supporters, the member representing Lokoja II in the Kogi State House of Assembly Honourable Idris Ndakwo said his defection to the ruling party marked the end of PDP in Kogi State.
He said his decision to move to APC was conceived from the development recorded by the new direction agenda championed by governor Yahaya Bello.

The lawmaker stressed that governor Yahaya Bello had brought an enviable new dimension to politics in Kogi State.
While emphasizing that his defection to the party will attract development and bring democracy to his people, Ndakwo added that, “the crowd that turned out today is an indication that come 2019, Kogi State is for APC, both at the Federal and the State level.”
Receiving the decampees, the deputy governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba, said “before 2019 general election, I am optimistic to see the remaining PDP members in Kogi State House of Assembly to join the winning party, APC”.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has boasted that he will take over power from President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 election.
The governor made the statement when he informed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)about his intention to contest for the position of president of Nigeria under the party’s platform in 2019.
In his speech on Thursday, September 28, below are some of the promises he made:

1. Fayose stated:"I present myself as one with the required knowledge, understanding, competence and above all political will to coordinate the human and material resources that we have in abundance in order to achieve national greatness."

2. Speaking on education, he said:"As a governor, I encouraged my children to attend schools here in Nigeria and I have never traveled abroad fro Medicare. This I hope to sustain as president of Nigeria by making sure that our schools and health facilities are of international standard."

3. Also he touched on the legal system."Our justice system will be such that judges will not be molested and the common people of this country will see our courts as truly their last hope,"he said.

4."...our security system will make all Nigerians feel safe living in their own country,"he said speaking on the current security situation in the country.

5. In the area of the fight against corruption, the current Ekiti governor said:"Our fight against corruption will not be selective."

6. He also promised the APC victory, saying:"My party leaders, I present myself to you as the needed vehicle, for our party to move back to the presidency, I am doing so because I am confident that with God and all of you behind me, we can do it and we will do it."

“The highest organ of the party, which is the national convention, zoned the presidential ticket of the PDP to the north. That has not changed.
“The same national convention zoned the position of the national chairman to the south. The convention has yet to change any of these two,"he said.
