I might as well be Phate. I have been called a white girl, a Gollum, a biith, a ho, a dummy, a fatty, ugly, and an Igbo girl.

I am everything but a child of God. Sighs.

You just mad because you can't type as fast as we can. It don't take me much to take the amount I have typed.

If you don't want to read it. You do not have to read it. I can't stand a mofo complain about long essays but they keep bringing their arses to the threads where you typing long paragraphs at.

Uhmm. Now can I say this delicately as possible. I do not mean any harm to those affected by my comments.

Naijaspeak,

I am all for loving your country and being proud of it. However, you cannot compare American, UK, and African marriages under no circumstance. America and UK is very diverse and we have every nation and creed in both USA/UK. The ceremonies are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT each time in USA.

Jews have their own marriage ceremony, Muslims have their own marriage ceremony, Indians have their own marriage ceremony, and plethora of other creeds have their own marriage ceremony. So again, when you say "western tradition" marriage, please remember to focus on the PERSON WHOM having the issue in THEIR MARRIAGE.

I get tired of people assuming America/UK have issues in their marriage while other regions have just as much if not equal the same shit. Africans are so quick to say "Oh, we do not believe in divorce and we believe in keeping the family united" Okay. Why are their too many African divorcees? Why are their too many African single mothers and fathers? Why are too many African girls having abortion faster than Mr. Chima changing his boxer? Why are African couples coming abroad getting divorce only to be on soil for a few months? If African culture is such STRONG, IRONCLAD, AND TIGHT KNITTED you should not be having these issues REGARDLESS WHERE YOU LAND YOUR FEET.

Fuckery is EVERYWHERE and it does not discriminate at all boo.

Yes, Mygoldie! I was shocked when I heard this was such a problem in a relationship. I am like oh my goodness! I even asked my husband a while back what if I make more than him and have to be away from the home. He actually gave me this lecture about how women are the nurturer and the men are the provider.

I asked my brother who is married what if his wife made more money than him how would he feel about that he actually got pissed off. Mind you they are married so what money she bring home is his as well. I do not understand why MOST men feel that a woman making more than a man is the END OF THE WORLD?

Married couples share everything so that shouldn't be an issue of who make the most. Should it?

My friend is an event planner/personal manager. She is married with one child and she is very successful in her field. She was given a contract to go oversea and plan a big wedding for a celebrity. However, my friend's husband is old fashioned. He believe that a woman's place is in the HOME and not outside the home.

Before they got married she was just a student and her husband was the primary breadwinner. She is now the primary breadwinner because she is making more than him. He doesn't like that and think that she need to take a break.

My question to the MEN and the women can answer if they must. Why is THIS SUCH AN ISSUE in an old fashioned relationship?

MRbrownJAY:
pls bro, help me ask this damsel oh!!!!

@mrs.Chima (aka Mrs.Eve soundalike)

there is a HUGE difference between dating someone and marrying them, anyone even you should know that.
the aim is not the same, the relationship aint the same, the expectations aint the same and, last but not least, what you experience is DEFINITELY not the same.
Now you see what you said?   angry

Mz. Dark made perfectly sense when she said why would you date a smoker but won't marry a smoker? That is crazy!
