Of course, my husband's family are the ones that are doing the auto export/import. He will be working with the family members that are already in the business.


I told my husband that we should focus on the family leisure business and child care as a start up and work our way up. I will be doing other things that will bring money into the house as well. I have a few things lined up just waiting on the contract to finalized then it is a go.

My husband also working with his relatives in Nigeria to do an export/import auto business.  I did some research with my husband and found out that you can make more money selling cars in Africa than you do in America which is sad.  

You can sell an used car for fraction of the price you purchased the car for.  He want to establish a trusting eye on the Nigeria shore before starting the export/import business.

Businesses like nursing care, child care, food service, hotel service, and vocational training schools are never out of source because these are high demand services.  

Now if you are into specialty you will find less competition with other competitors and you must have a competitive advantage as well that what make your business stand out.  Many businesses are diversifying because the competition is too much to risk.  

For example, Mickey D is always introducing new product to their line to have a leg up in competitive advantage.  So whatever business that you opening or brainstorming think of a specialty that will make your brand stand out.  Make sure your brand can grow as well.

That is the very thing my husband and I was talking about.  We mentioned vacation homes in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria however, we are bent on settling in Ghana.  If we do ever decide to do Lagos, we will have to stay in Lagos to monitor our OWN BUSINESS and make sure it is stable.  

There is a lot in stake when it come to developing, stablizing, and monitoring businesses with literally no partners.

We have but the problem is we would not be able to stay in the area long and like you said it hard to find someone to trust will take care of your business.

If we do build vacation homes we will have to pull in families in the area and most of them are in the cities or USA/UK.

My husband's family own plot land in the East and the family even mentioned turning that plot of land into vacation homes for the tourist. It will be another opportunity for the people in the East obtain decent employment.

My husband want to open a business in Ghana.  I have been to Ghana and in Accra by the water shore are beautiful beaches.  He talked about building a summer home there and in the summer we would live there and run our business.  It will give the mothers opportunity for employment and build the economy as well.

Ghana is very peaceful and is a great place for a summer home.

Child care require minor certification and doesn't take much as long as you pass the background check and are not a registered sex offender.

What business ventures would you open with your spouse or mate? Do you think it is a good idea to be business partners with your spouse/mate?

I think family businesses are great ventures with spouse and long-term mates. What do you think? Any ideas, suggestions, experiences you want to share?

Now since yall talking about business!  My husband and I starting several businesses.  One of the businesses that we are working on is Child Care.  There are a lot of single mothers and working families that need affordable and quality child care.  

In one week, you can make 5 grand just caring for five children to 8 children.  Younger children are more lucrative than older children.  We will start on that and work our way to starting a family leisure business.  It is in high demand in my hometown.  For every one adult, we have 50 children!
