Yes you right but doesn't have to be online. Though IHS has to be paid online, visa fees can also be paid in person at the centre.
Thanks just calculated the differenc btw todays rate when converted and my account balance its N2182.38. If they make an issue out of 2k then there are sick in the head becos the rate is nolonger stable so what u have to pay today is not the same as what you will pay tomorrow so if theres a balance of school feed to pay the applicant would definitely need to add more since the exchange rate is all over the place.

I dont quite understand what u mean. Tuition has been paid in full
Date of application is the date of the online application right? That is the day yu pay yur visa fees and ihs fees not the day yu submit yur documents?

I will probably suggest you find a way to add money to your tuition fee so CAS will be updated and you wouldn't be N3000 short. 'Date of Application' is the date to convert the currency.

does anykne think the rate has a possibility of going down to 350 at least?
There has to be an economic crisis fr it to crash that low thats what happened during brexit thats why i was asking if i could apply today cos even if it would drop it wouldnt drop at most by 10 Naira so every day counts

But you were debited, right? Thought you said you were debited. Have u been able to call the head office? I think you need to do something about this. The problem now is at d end of d 28days, what you have in ur account must tally with exchange rate that period. The problem now is even if u print out ur statement of account after the 28days, you still have to wait for your CAS before you apply for visa. So you still have to tackle dat too.
OlowoB can also share my light.
I got some1 in the Uk to pay the deposit of the fees so the CAS isnt a problem its just the rate that keeps going up that is a headache

MrsF, you mean uptil now you haven't gotten it? Wait. Tell me the bank, I don't mind calling the customer care, and mailing them as well. Just give me necessary details. First of all, have u been to the head office of late to ascertain what the issue is?
Access bank they said no forex the exchange rate is slowly getting up to 400 just when my 28days is up in friday. Even wt an extra 200k in there. Is d embassy aware of this unstable rate so whats going to happen in this instance

Obviously you can still use Form A but try and give enough time to process, At least 3 weeks. Also don't get it twisted, some people are still using Form A steady (provided you have connections). How do you think all these politicians are paying fees for their kids?

If you want to pay your fees like within a week or 2, i would not recommend Form A as it is unpredictable.

@fizzile, i dont know what other means o, just quickly use the Form A to pay the balance since you still have time on your side or you pray that the rates go down.

Imagine as at today, to buy pounds here in Uk is about 495 naira. I seriously pity students (and their parents) coming to Uk at this moment. For the first time i have to admit it that Buhari and Osinbajo has failed naija. The change is indeed negative
I wouldnt advise anyone to rely on the form A right now cos this is my 2nd month and no telex copy.

Nice work guys,I've been following this thread intently. I need some clarification and advise concerning schooling in the UK. I got a partial tuition fee waiver(left with £6000). How feasible is it to coup with accommodation and also pay-off my remaining tuition through part-time jobs? I intend on going with paltry cash to pay for my first three months accommodation and also feeding. I'm going to hull.. Abeg make una help
Lived in hull for about 4 years just moved last year. Accomodation is cheap there and as per jobs there are factory worker jobs, care/support workers, shop attendants ( restocking shelves) just get your NI number as soon as you get in so you can strt searching dunno how feasible it is to pay for accomodation and also tuition working only 20 hours a week tho having in mind that this jobs pay minimum wage btw £6.70 - £7.50 you may get higher dunno just giving you a rough idea

Hello guyzz, doing good?
I am on the process for this student uk visa.
I am at the stage of paying fees related. The thing is that the money I will use is in the same bank account that I will use to prove I have enough funds. Don't worry there is enough money to go but the 28 days will be due only next week when I will print the bank slip. So paying fees today will remove some money from that bank account but there will still be enough money for maintenance and tuition next week on the 28th day. Is this ok
for my application?

Also which day rate will they use on the balance of next week to convert to gbp?

Thanks for your help
The money is meant to be in your account untouched for 28days i dont knw if it now matters that you still have enough even aftr paying yur tuition

MrsF, don't tell me you are serious. Wait.. have u checked your account if its been debited? You need to do something about this. You need to visit the bank. As for the moneygram stuff, someone has to receive it for you there in the UK. Thats if you have anyone there but it might be slightly above CBN rate...slightly. If you have not been debited, i suggest u make use of another bank for the Form A.
I have been debited so therein lies my problem becos the money is tied up there. If the moneygram rate is slightly above the CBN rate then thats still fine i guess i would be paying extra for the peace of mind. My 28 days is up next week friday so i need to sort this out asap

Sir, I think moneygram is better. I was at the bank this morning to make enquiries and the woman took me to a corner and told me moneygram is cheaper. That the difference btw western union and moneygram is about 8000 to 12000naira.
Do you know i am yet to receive my telex copy. Is it possible to use moneygram to pay tuition feeshuh Im just learning about this. The bank claims they dont have forex!!

MrsF does it mean its not right for someone above 18 to be sponsored by parents? Afterall there made provision for a parent to write a letter authorizing the students.
I am not saying its not right just saying dont complicate the application. What harm will it do to transfer it? Just my opinion.Thats what i did wt my application and my visa was issued thats why i advised same. With a child student visa its fine i am currently applying for a child student cisa for my boys and its a requirement to write a letter of consent

Hello pls need someone to verify my docs if am good to go or need to add anyhting
1. CAS
2. Documents listed in CAS
3. TB Test Result

not sure about this part.
4. School Fess + maintenance fees ( sponsored by parents so am using my parents bank statements and adding my birth certificate )
I dont really know how the 28 day rule will apply
here. Need help here.

Questions I need answered are should I add my bank statement if am being 100% percent by my parents and also do i need to pay my school fees before applying for the visa. Answers will be much appreciated.
I would say its safer to transfer the money into your own personal account since yu have your own and you are above 18 it would make things easier and not complicate your application atleast thats what most people here have done and have gotten their visas. Transfer the money and let in be in your account untouched for 28 days.

Use the account that has been running else you have to start counting 28days again with new account.
The rate on oanda.com as of today is 412 to a pound when i started counting it was 280 so i have to strt over anyway

They will use the rate of the day you deposited the full amount, so whatever happens to the exchange rate after that day will not affect you and the 28days counting.
@ justwise thanks for your response can i go ahead and use a new account then or it has to be an account that has been running

just spoke to my account officer ( Access bank) and he said that the amount debited from my account will be converted to dollars and paid to the school have no idea why it would be changed to dollars. He said the previous rate was 197.5 but as at today its 253 but they need to be certain before doing anything so he advised to wait until next week.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsF: 12:22pm On Jun 23, 2016
Hello house. Since the rate isnt stable does that mean one shouldnt start counting the 28 days. Another question is it ok to open a new account and deposit the maintenance fee ( tuition has been paid in full) or it has to be an account that has been in use for awhile.
I havent gotten my telex copy yet

If you haven't gotten your CAS, no point printing out your bank statement mate. Funds must have been in your account for 28 days ending no more than 31 days prior to the date of your application.
That is the part i dont understand ending no more than 31 days prior to the date of your application does that mean you have only 3 days to apply from the day you print your bank statement

Guys, i wana ask a question. Whats the implication of the new CBN policy with respect to the flexible forex rate on exchange rate we will use in calculating maintenance fee or other transactions? Will it in anyone affect or change the rate on oanda.com?
My account officer pointed out that if the payment of the tuition fees(form A) had not gone through before the policy was introduced the new rate may affect it depending and yes the official rate would also be affected meaning it would affect the maintenance thats what my account officer said as at friday. So fingers crossed till Monday you can also get in touch with your bank. Has your payment been received by the school?

Guys, if u r planning to pay for your tuition using the Form A, please act fast before the exchange rate increases beyond what it is currently. I actually paid mine today and it was paid at the rate of 300naira for 1 pound. Seems the CBN has given instructions regarding exchange rates. Its so annoying. Please try and act fast if you have intentions of using Form A.
Almost got discouraged when the man kept asking me unnecessary questions regarding why i want to study abroad. He claimed he actually took a stud
y leave from his work place as a banker and studied in the UK for his masters and he came back to Nigeria. That he is currently doing his MBA in Unical. That what's my gain going to the UK to study when we have good education here. That i want to go and damage my dad's money. I felt so demoralized. But i had to summon courage goals i have a goal. Tried not to allow all he said to get at me.
Pls which bank did you use? Thanks I went to GTBank today to try and pay and was told it would take btw 2weeks to a month to process the payment thats why i was wondering which bank you used and within how many days/weeks would the school receive the payment
