TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsF: 5:24pm On May 14, 2016
Hello house! Im looking for some clarification on applying for a tier 4 child student visa. the kids involved are 4 and 7 i was wondering if it was ok for their grandfather to be their sponsor and include their moms birth certificate and a couple of pics if needed to prove their rship. He would also be writing a letter stating that he is their sponsor and grand father. He would be the one financial responsible for their tuition fees.
My second question also is that even after paying the tuition fees in full is there a need to also have the same amount ( that is the tuition fees) again in an account for 28 days before applying?
Thanks guy great job you are all doing.

B4 I submitted my application in nig my initial plan was to submit in d Uk so I went to see a solicitor. She thn advised me to go bk home and mke my application because wat UKBA wd do is tke yur application fee, hold yur passport fr over 6mnths and thn refuse yu cos yu r on a visiting visa! If yu thn go ahead to appeal let's say cos yu hv kids in d Uk. Yur appeal may thn be granted aftr 6-8mnths but yu wd stil hv to go bk to nigeria to submit yur passport b4 yur visa cn be issued.
So yu cnt mke a spousal applctn wt a visiting visa. Bsides it tkes abt 60dys wen yu submit in nigeria dn wen yu hv to wait over 6mnths and yu r nt sure of d outcome.
Goodluck

@bubblygirl78 wen I posted mine it stil took abt 55days b4 I got it back. It's just basically a way for the UKBA to cut cost and place d financial burden of sending the documents to sheffield on the applicant, cos it's quite xpnsive thru Dhl considering d amount of documents we use in applying! Dnt frgt to put in a return envelope fr dem to post it bk to yur hubby!

@johnwray
R yu saying it is ok to be in the UK while you have an appeal pending for a spousal visa? I have asked 2 immigration lawyers and I have gotten different responses on told me not to visit as I may be stopped at the airport, the other told me it doesn't affect the appeal and since my visa wasn't cancelled I can visit. So I really dunno which one to blive

@ justwise the lawyer advised us to reapply again shud we do this or just wait for the appeal? And wats the likelihood that the decision would be overturned with the NHS letter and the receipt?

@ johnwray you guys r doing a fab job!!
Hi guys I'm new to this forum and I just decided to share my horrible experience so far. I initially applied for a spousal visa in february 2013 and got refused in may 2013. My hubby is self employed, I was refused based on the fact that my hubby's pay slips dint tally with his bank statements and the letter of employment from his employer dint say whether his employment was continuous and finally we don't submit my hubby's TT600. Based on several lawyers advised we reapplied. Now I know we should hv appealed. I reapplied again on the 30/05/2013 and was refused on 19/08/2013. This time the reason was that when I went to have my baby in the Uk in October 2012 i have not paid my NHS bill. This was surprising becos after my discharge I chased the NHS for my bill but wee were told that they wud send it via post after several calls and no bill I lft the UK in December and put in the first application in February. I was so shocked cos the first refusal dint mention the outstanding debt. The ECO even stated the exact amount. This was the first time we were made aware of it. Immediately we called the NHS and we were stil told that the cant even find my name or that of my son in their computer, my hubby went down there and meant their financial manager who he showed the refusal noticed she then told him she would contact him in a few days. We were called and the bill was paid. NHS then issued us an apology letter, but my hubby insisted that they should send a copy to Sheffield themselves and also email them sending them a copy of the refusal notice, the receipt and the the apology letter. Our lawyer advised us that without a letter from the NHS our appeal will fail and she even said NHS would never accept blame for such a thing( she was so shocked when we emailed her a copy ) but my hubby dint gve them the chance to refuse. We just sent in
The appeal wt the letters and the receipt. The lawyer also advised us to reapply again. This would be the 3rd time this year I really dunno what they will come up with again?
@halle26 you are truly blessed. My question now is do I have a chance at the appeal or I shud just reapply??.?.
