I have another one, I had to get a loan from a micro lending company to meet up the difference caused by sudden fall of naira. Please I want to ask, if my account statement shows education loan and the company's name will this affect my chances?

i just had my interview today and i think it went well.
they just asked me why i chose the university i intend going to, my educational backround and how i came about the choice of my MSc course. he also asked why i chose to come to the uk as opposed to schooling in another country.

i think it lasted for about 10 mins. waiting for my visa, fingers crossed

So it's obvious the agent has been lying to us...he claimed dt we will get if d accounts history is well buoyant....pls nairalanders...reply pls...then oif we defer...what happens to the money that has been paid to d school already....will we have to forfeit the money or what

Ehya, u wud ve used Oanda rate, guess u can still use the rate and print it out na. Justwise has said we shudnt worry abt if the fx fluctuation affects the money bfr d 28days gets complete so far we input the complete money required. Abi wat do u think? @elope

MrsF if by Monday the rates still go high and you go ahead in applying your Visa during the week and by Gods grace you get it, please can you come back on here and say it so that other students coming over and still worrying over the rates will put their mind at rest.

This is the reason why we keep asking you guys over again. Cos Justwise wud advise and tell u wat to do, then anoda person says it must be the day u applying, someone like me now i have 6m in acc, what if bfr 28days gets here d exchange rate mks it higher for example by 50,000naira higher do they expect us to go top up and start counting again? Its crazy and scary mehn! @olowoB

It doesn't need to be untouched as long as it does not go below the required amount (185naira)

why don't you suggest to your school to pay extra money and they include it on your CAS as you having extra money and then you apply online .....

I don't know if that is possible but just thinking out loud.....

actually, have you been given CAS? did your school not check your statement and what did
they say?

I know it sounds crazy but they really adhere to the rules. I know someone who forgot about his Direct Debit, bank deducted money from his account and was just few pence short and he basically had issues. I really hope it will come down and once you notice, you can atleast pay online and book an appointment within 31 days.

I will advise not to take that risk even though it's just N182.23 difference.
I am applying for a child student visa fr my son so the way it works is that it is his carers in the UK his uncle and aunt that hv to have the maintenance funds in their acct also fr 28 days they are not affect by the rates as their acct is in pounds what i have to have is the equivalent of the school fees in naira for 28 days even aftr making full payment
