MrsDaniels: MrsF when did u start counting ur childs 28days bfr applying. And was it both fees n maintenance money u calculated wt 400naira 30th of june to 30th of july it was just tuition his visa category doesnt require his sponsor to provide maintenance fees. I printed out the oanda page on the date i started counting that was 30th of june and wrote on it "rate as at the day initial deposit was made" |

chuksbenin: UK bank account? Does that mean the money was in pounds? Congrats to ur baby. It was a child student visa so its the carer in the UK that should have the maintenance fees so hence the reason for the UK bank account |

My baby finally picked up his visa today!! Yaaayyyy!!!! Guys the headache of the oanda rate of using naira to buy pounds or vice versa is unnecessary cos all i did was multiple the tuition fees by the rate i wanted to calculate it by eg £5000*N400. Cos the rate isnt stable anyway all this naira side and pound side i didnt use it it was just this week i read on the forum and saw the headache it was causing its simple maths. So i used N400 to calculate but by the time i was submitting the rate was N419 but as justwise advised i submitted it like that cos we all really dont have control over the market. So i was about N40,000 short or there about Also my UK bank didnt give me a bank statement as they dont issue monthly bank statements for savings account so they gave me a letter stating how much was in there and how long it had been there for wt the account name and number. Submitted at VAC 15/09 Decision mail received 22/09 Collected 25/09 Thanks guys |

Hi guys my sons Carer in UK is the one responsible for providing the maintenance funds under his child student visa and the bank he used Santander doesnt issue monthly bank statements for savings accounts just annual statements. They have given him a letter stating the amount in the account the date it was deposited and that the account balance remains the same till date and to contact them if they need more info. Will this suffice? We hv been to 5 separate branches and they said they dont issue bank statements for his type of acct. should i just submit the letter and keep my fingers crossed? |

Timm: Hello house
I am grateful for the responses to some of the questions I have asked so far.
I have another one, I had to get a loan from a micro lending company to meet up the difference caused by sudden fall of naira. Please I want to ask, if my account statement shows education loan and the company's name will this affect my chances?
I need your view on this my people.
Thank you
Rdgs Transfer the funds into another of your accounts so it doesnt show the transfer from the bank |

Justwise has said we shudnt worry abt if the fx fluctuation affects the money bfr d 28days gets complete so far we input the complete money required. Abi wat do u think? @elope No matter the rate u use it would still be highr by the time the 28 days is up excpt u put like 1m or more extra i used 410 and the day I deposited the money the rate was 363 cos I printed it out and today its 418 so my dear its beyond everybody |

OlowoB: MrsF if by Monday the rates still go high and you go ahead in applying your Visa during the week and by Gods grace you get it, please can you come back on here and say it so that other students coming over and still worrying over the rates will put their mind at rest.
That will solve all issues. All the best. I sure will cos im planning on paying fr the priority service |

MrsDaniels: This is the reason why we keep asking you guys over again. Cos Justwise wud advise and tell u wat to do, then anoda person says it must be the day u applying, someone like me now i have 6m in acc, what if bfr 28days gets here d exchange rate mks it higher for example by 50,000naira higher do they expect us to go top up and start counting again? Its crazy and scary mehn! @olowoB What they are simply advising is to print the rate on the date yu put the money in and do same fr the date u printed yur statement. |

Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsF: 7:49pm On Jul 29, 2016 |
umarwy: It doesn't need to be untouched as long as it does not go below the required amount (185naira) You mean the 2nd account doesnt have to fulfill the 28 day rule it can be an account that has transactions going in and out? |

Thanks guys i dont have an account that has been untouched for 28 days so im gonna say a little prayer and see what happens next week. I know this ppl can be very funny cant believe its 45pence difference that is causing all dis headache. |

OlowoB: I am just thinking outside the box......
why don't you suggest to your school to pay extra money and they include it on your CAS as you having extra money and then you apply online .....
I don't know if that is possible but just thinking out loud.....
actually, have you been given CAS? did your school not check your statement and what did they say? Its for my sons child student visa they dont require your statement also i have been given my CAS reference number alrdy. Plus the more money i pay the worse the situation is all i need is the rate to drop to abt N1.50 then the money in my acct is sufficient |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsF: 12:37pm On Jul 29, 2016 |
Bourne007: I know it sounds crazy but they really adhere to the rules. I know someone who forgot about his Direct Debit, bank deducted money from his account and was just few pence short and he basically had issues. I really hope it will come down and once you notice, you can atleast pay online and book an appointment within 31 days.
I will advise not to take that risk even though it's just N182.23 difference. I am applying for a child student visa fr my son so the way it works is that it is his carers in the UK his uncle and aunt that hv to have the maintenance funds in their acct also fr 28 days they are not affect by the rates as their acct is in pounds what i have to have is the equivalent of the school fees in naira for 28 days even aftr making full payment |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsF: 11:36am On Jul 29, 2016 |
Sorry the difference is N182 .23 after calculating |
