Good morning, ma'am. I truly sympathize with you. The Festac Passport Office is a cesspit of corruption. DIY applicants disgust it. I do not hesitate to tell DIY applicants to avoid it like a plague.
Have you spoken or met with the PCO of Festac Passport Office about your sad situation?
I think AA means approved for production.

It will take an act of God for you to be allowed to see the PCO. I have been there severally and on each occasion I was directed to meet PRO or SA to PCO or the Second-in-Command.

However, I will be there again this week and hope I am lucky this time. I have even tweeted the interior minister, immigration service and servicom on this matter and none seem to be responding.

I think this is a certified institutional corruption and every party is involved in it hence the lackadaisical attitude of those who are suppose to checkmate this corruption. If the PCO is serious about his job he shouldn't be waiting for applicants to approach him before he acts on those DIY backlogs.

They are all in on this racket. The plan is to show kindness and effectiveness to a few people lucky to breach his firewall of aides whose duty is to frustrate you. That way word will go round that he is effective.

Those backlogged DIY files are in the servicom office and not planet Mars. If the PCO is honest he can order for the files to be attended to without the hassle of the applicants wasting time and resources trying to get an audience with him.

The best thing for us now is to make enough noise online especially on twitter and shame the PCO and the festac immigration office to the extent that the Minister of interior and the top brass of Immigration will notice and act accordingly.

I heard that the Festac Passport Office is now producing the passports of the applicants who were captured in May 2023. For your sake and for the sake of the applicants like you who went the do-it-yourself (DIY) route when applying for their passports, I hope the information is correct.

Do you mean DIY applicants? My kids captured in mid April and when I went last week I was told it wasn’t ready. Still on AA. Those collecting then are those who used an agent to fast track.

I can offer 170k for the LG including the dual screen.

They might even tell you to go and see the second in command (2/i/c PCO) in the other building because he's also very corrupt just like them. If you go there, first thing he will ask you is whether you are willing to fast track it.

This information is misleading. I am currently at the Festac office and was told they are yet to finish with March for those that are DIY.
The marching order given by the PCO seem to affect only those people who captured using agents. I was told they are currently clearing those of JUNE applicants but it is strictly those who did via various contacts.
I have been waiting to be allowed to see the PCO but those who can grant access will frustrate you and direct you to his minions who will insist there is nothing they can do and you should just wait.
One of the officers I spoke to said I should check back first week October.
Featac office is a total mess.
The PCO is a good man from all account but they will not allow you see him.

Has any DIY that captured in April at the Featac passport office collected their passport? I intend to visit there tomorrow and will make sure I have an audience with the PCO if my kids passport are not ready.

Hello Nairalanders, can I withdraw my student visa application before a decision is made or at what point can I withdraw my application to avoid them making a decision on my application?

I want my international passport returned without the visa issued or denied.

What does “Awaiting Approval” even mean? These guys are clowns. I just hope they don’t come back with stories that approval was decline for whatever reasons.
Frankly, they just look for means to punish those of us that chose the DIY route.

Hello Nairalanders, I was at the Festac immigration office to collect my kids passport on Tuesday but the date(21st August) and. “AA” was written on their confirmation slip with a red pen and I was told it wasn’t ready yet. Please what is the meaning or implication of “AA”?

It is DIY and they captured on April 15th.

My hubby(renewal) and my kids(fresh) did their capturing at the FESTAC center April 14th. Sometime last month (about 3 weeks ago or so) a lady came visiting our house to confirm the address. She said she was sent from immigration service to verify the address we used in the passport application.

Has anyone here had similar experience before?

I have never read here of anyone receiving such visits before or did I miss such post?

Are the offers you have conditional or unconditional?

I would advise that you narrow down your choice of Uni asap so you don't get a TB certificate that will expire in 6months.

Regarding the Uni address, you can use either. The result of the TB is what matters

I have an unconditional offer for September 2023 intake from Leeds Beckett University for now only. The other offers are conditional offers from Uni of Sunderland and NTU.

Please what exactly do you mean by the bolded above? Does this mean it is bad to get a TB certificate that expires in 6 months? Since I will be traveling by September at the most, does it matter if the TB certificate expires in 6 months?

I am in a bit of a jam and need advice from experienced people here.

I currently hold offers from 2 Universities, but I am still hesitating because of the considerable tuition fee. I am still expecting response from other Universities with better payment plan.

The issue is that I want to book my TB appointment and they are requesting for UK address. I understand I should use the university address but I may end up not going to any of the universities I currently hold an offer to, if I get a better offer.

If I use any of the addresses to book the TB appointment and decide to take up another offer from an entirely different University, will there be an issue?

I have the following concerns:

1. I have an unconditional offer for September 2023 but yet to get CAS. Can I proceed with my TB check now or I should wait till I get the CAS.

2. How long will it take to complete the TB check and the result sent to Home Office? I am yet to book an appointment and was wondering if i can still delay this for sometime since my dependents’ passports are not ready yet.

3. Can we all go for the TB test even though their passports are not ready yet? Will NIN be accepted as a means of identification for them?
