[quote author=chopnaira post=140057289]Seyi removed his cap and knelt down to greet me. Has Obi come to greet me since I’ve been campaigning for him, has Obi come to say thank you? If I like I might start campaigning for Tinubu because you guys (Obedients) are not even worth it. I am a Yoruba man and I love Tinubu with all my heart and I love Seyi, he’s a good guy. - Isaac Fayose this man claim to support PO. I don't trust him. Imagine his statement, has Obi come to thank him, like , as in what? Seems falling down by the Yoruba to greet their elders don't truly mean respect. If this man has any iota of respect he would not have uttered this gibberish. |
Family › Re: My Situation With My Lady !!! Honest Regrets by MrSly(m): 2:58pm On Jul 18 |
Dregs: We should be careful with whom we choose to have a child with, get married to, and spend our lives with in this period.
To be honest, I don’t buy into the idea of growing distance between me and my child, nor with her mother, who has been the worst-case scenario in my life. I do my best to provide for my daughter’s needs, but recently she got sick and her mother has been dealing with the situation alone—caring for the child—while I provide the finances. It hasn’t been easy on my end either.
With all this happening, she is disrespecting me and building resentment, as if I’m happy with our current situation. I’m working hard to bring my child closer to me, but her mom being in the picture makes it a long and difficult process. I didn’t get it right with this one, and I feel like I shot myself in the foot by going with the “baby mama” approach as a way to have a child.
Man, it’s one of my biggest mistakes. I’d rather wait a long time and be well settled in life than follow that path for raising a child.
Sometimes I don’t blame men who choose that lifestyle, because women these days often don’t honor their men or respect the sacrifices we make to keep the family happy. I love my child, and I hate to see her upbringing go this way. The worst of wives is better than an average baby mama. Meanwhile in nigeria, African culture a child you have with a baby mama has no inheritance in your father land. Even if you will everything you have to the child that does not change that fact the last the child is more like a fugitive. Family is the only thing that gives legitimacy to children. |

Politics › Re: The Kwankwaso Illusion: Kano Is Not The North. by MrSly(m): 10:29am On Jul 17 |
CharlesCNG: Kwankwaso Cannot Donate a North He Does Not Own.
Rabiu Kwankwaso’s renewed sermon about a North–South-East alliance sounds historically attractive—but electorally exaggerated.
The former Kano governor speaks as though he carries “the North” in his pocket. He does not.
In 2022, while demanding that Peter Obi become his running mate, Kwankwaso claimed northern voters would find it difficult to support a candidate from the South-East. He presented himself and the NNPP as the South-East’s only route to political relevance.
Today, after accepting the vice-presidential slot under Obi, the language has changed. Suddenly, the South-East is the North’s historic friend and natural ally.
This is not necessarily new conviction. It looks more like **The Kwankwaso Convenience Pivot**—history being rearranged to suit his present position.
The 2023 results provide the reality check. Kwankwaso won Kano convincingly with 997,279 votes. But outside Kano, his promised northern political army largely disappeared. He failed to reach 25 per cent in any other northern state.
That makes him a formidable Kano champion—not the political landlord of Northern Nigeria.
An alliance with Kwankwaso is therefore not automatically an alliance with the North. The North contains governors, traditional political networks, religious and community leaders, competing parties and millions of independent voters whom Kwankwaso neither owns nor commands.
The historical references to Azikiwe, the NPC, Shagari, Ekwueme and Ojukwu are elegant. But history is not a transferable voter card.
My inference is straightforward: Kwankwaso is attempting to convert one-state electoral dominance into the appearance of regional authority because his present position requires him to sell Obi to northern voters.
He may deliver Kano.
He cannot promise the North.
A Kano political emir is not automatically Sultan of the northern ballot. I don't know if you actually thought I would take time to read this long epistle of self consolation. I don't have that time. Whatever you wrote that make you feel better is fine. |

She finally blocked me everywhere and confess that she have a boyfriend that is richer, that the guy always call her, even if they have nothing to say. The phone calls must be connected. I'm still weeping as it stands 😂 Hahaha hahaha. You don't need to weep. The funny thing is that what she said may still not be true. However, whether true or not the bottom line is that she doesn't want you and makes all funny excuses to send you away. Come to think of it, how can somebody's phone be connected in call all day long? She just made excuses to free you and when you didnt get the handwriting on the wall she blocked you right round. . |

Education › Re: One Of The 20 Smart Schools Built By Alex Otti In Abia by MrSly(m): 5:53pm On Jul 10 |
004gist: Earlier today, I accompanied the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, CON, as he commissioned the Ogbo Central Smart School in Ipupe, Ubakala, Umuahia South LGA. This is the first of 20 Smart Schools to be delivered across the 17 Local Government Areas and three senatorial districts of Abia State.
The future belongs to societies that invest in knowledge, innovation and technology. That is why we are transforming public education into a technology-driven system that prepares our children not just to earn certificates, but to compete, innovate and lead in a rapidly changing world.
Each Smart School is equipped with interactive learning boards, tablets for pupils, trained teachers, a sick bay, modern security systems and a learning environment that promotes creativity, excellence and character.
Yesterday, we launched the Manufacturing Technology (Manu-Tech) University Innovation Pod (UniPod) at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, with the support of the Federal Government, TETFund and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Today, we commissioned a Smart School. Together, these investments reaffirm our commitment to building human capital as the engine of sustainable economic growth.
We continue to dedicate 20% of our annual budget to education through improved infrastructure, teacher recruitment and retraining, and our policy of free and compulsory basic education. Every child in Abia deserves the opportunity to dream, excel and succeed.
I urge parents, guardians, community and religious leaders to join us in shaping children of character and protecting these public assets. Anyone found vandalising school infrastructure or extorting pupils or parents will face the full weight of the law.
I thank the Honourable Minister for honouring us with his presence, and commend the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Goodluck Chinedu Ubochi, and his team for their dedication to this transformative project.
Tomorrow is the reward for the investments we make today, and together, we are building a brighter future for every Abia child. I love this man's spirit. I wish soludo could leave pride and who aloft petty professor and learn from men who have done and are doing the work. Meanwhile, we don't really know yet what a smart school look like. This is not a smart school but a class with television. |
