ALTERNATEID: While we cannot in all honesty wish away the cruel and evil killing of minorities in the north central states of Kwara, Benue, Plateau, southern kaduna etc, i strongly believe that the recent interest of the Trump administration is based on economic agenda and nothing altruistic. In this regard, I don’t think Donald Trump was misinformed.
Trump recently placed a 15% tariff on Nigeria and the country responded by banning the importation of 25 certain items from the country. The Tinubu administration has also been working on increasing local refining of petroleum products. Recently, a 15% tax on PMS importation was introduced to further discourage importation of petroleum products. This has seriously affected European and American refineries which are owned by Trump and his big oil buddies. They are not happy that Nigeria is prioritizing energy independence at the detriment of American and European oil companies.
Again, Nigeria’s recent romance with BRICS is unsettling the Trump administration. The BRICS countries are planning to issue a new currency so as to sidestep the US dollars and Nigeria has signed up to be a part of the BRICS monetary union. Trump had vowed to make sure this does not happen. The Yuan - Naira currency swap between China and Nigeria that has recently helped to strengthen the Naira is also another source of concern to the US.
So, a combination of all these issues plus Nigeria’s stance against the GAZA genocide is why Donald Trump is targeting the Nigeria government. If they can’t control Nigeria, they will do everything possible to destroy the country. You guys want to sound politically correct or maybe the supporters of the ineffectual president tinubu are doing their paid work but this time with more caution as I noticed you were instructed to do. Fact above feelings and lies. How much oil does nigeria import? The killing is it not in the Christian dominated areas and as well in Muslim area where the terrorists have claimed territorial ownership? You derail this topic with lies. |

Racoon: https://www.farooqkperogi.com/2025/11/the-coup-that-dare-not-speak-its-name.html nlfpmod The alleged coup if it had happened nothing would have happened except that to run as would be left alone to live with their atrocities that bothers betrayal. Jonathan was a southern president who was yet to complete two terms in office. It was yorubas who arranged with he North to oust him. Igbos and other nationalities in the major South were with Good luck except the the Yoruba western South. They conived with the North and removed him. Tinubu is a abysmally poor leader. He is meant to have been sacked through impeachment. Even though I don't support coup of any form but if it had happened tinubu would have been removed and yorubas would only shout and be tamed. |

irumanle: You people love writing trash. Buhari beat Jonathan blue-black in that election. Sorry, you are used to using the power of incumbency to predict the outcome of elections. Lol. The trash is on you. You wanted to hide under cover to hise your obvious disappointment that US that once enthroned Muslim govt in nigeria is against the same Muslim for killing Christians. You are the same people Buhari supporter, tinubu supporter. Supporters of Christian genocide in Nigeria. Small time you would tell me how tinubu beat PO blue black. Deluded individuals. |

TOPMAN4LIFE: It's better if USA can back the segregation of this forced union called Nigeria, How can the northern governors be implementing sharia in a secular state of Nigeria. Buhari administered a nonsense govt for 8 years and northern military didn't consider coup but president from southern part is there for 2 years, they were planning coup When you talk about separation be specific please. It is not between North and South. Yoruba land is always in harmony with the North. So separation should be between the North with Yorubas and the major South. |

seborrhic: It's only America that can change Nigerian government behaviour and policies. We saw how just a single statement from Obama ensured the GEJ government and inec conducting a reasonably credible election and when he lost, didn't try do anything stupid. Obama was not neutral if you don't know. He was behind Buhari and berthed a war ship in readiness to take advantage should Jonathan resist. The election itself was rigged but Jonathan being a human does not want blood shed because of power. That is why I see him as a saint despite obvious shortcomings. |

Exousiang01: Hahahaha I understand that this is all in a fight to get president Bola Tinubu out of power as he doesn't give a damn about the US and he has said so on several occasions.
My question to them is how is what ever law you want to make over there affect a sovereign nation. The US need to understand that it's not Goodluck Ebele or Peter in power.
Nigeria will not change its system before one funny hair guy in the US feels the Nigerian president should kiss his ass.
NOTE: I am a strongly against Sharia law, but if we want to change it we would change it because we "Nigeria" wants to no because some law maker who doesn't understand the diversity on Nigeria sits in Washington DC office watches a video and decides to change the laws in Nigeria.....
Unfortunately we would have Nigerians clapping for the US wanting to tell and independent nation what laws they should follow. Those same people will still complain about other Nations disrespecting them Stop the hypocritical sermon akready and answer these 2 questions. Do Nigerians love Sharia? Is it legal or lawful for Sharia to apply in a secular state. Stop the delusion already. We do not take you guys serious anymore as we now know your antics. |

fergie001: https://www.instagram.com/p/DQfMaZPj4CZ/?igsh=cXpsdjU4Nzd3aTdt Meanwhile nigeria is not an islamic country and will never ever be. I am speaking as an obedient, law abiding but a very core Igbo man. The ideology of making nigeria an islamic country only trives in dreams unrealistically. Easy step to actualize your islamic country is for the north go their separate way and form their own country with Yorubas. They can together enjoy their Sharia. We the Igbos southeast will never be part of their shackles and ruins. We are republican in nature. We are humans not something lower. |

fergie001: https://www.instagram.com/p/DQfMaZPj4CZ/?igsh=cXpsdjU4Nzd3aTdt Sharia is inhumane. In fact Sharia is equivalent to lawlessness. How can a court kill a person for offence committed against Mohammed? This is evil in all ramifications. Every act that is not harmful to human but perceived as a sin to Mohammed should be preserved for Mohammed to handle it. No Christian kills anybody for any offence to Jesus Christ. He is capable of handling them all. But He always chose forgiveness, love most deep. |

pharmagba: Truth be told I think President Trump has sinster motives.
Yes they are killings in Nigeria but it is not religious. I think the motive is far deeper. Americans has had government shutdown for 31days now yet the President of America is more interested in Nigeria. In most cities in America at least 5-12 people are shot and killed every week, infact recent data shows that homicide rate in united state of America is 270 to 300 weekly! (1 person every 31mintes) yet President Trump is more interested in Nigeria killings.
The question is what does the President Trump want from Nigeria? The same America that collaborated with NATO and claimed Gaddafi is a "dictator" and they invaded Libya at the time the country was growing exponentially in human and capital development. Today Libya is in ruins. They stole from Libya and destroy the country. The former Chief of Defence, General Chris Musa, once asked who are the sponsors of this terrorist in Nigeria? The answer came from a United States senator that reveals it was USAID of America funding boko haram and the same Trump has been silent Christians are killed on target in Nigeria. How can 200 people die in one night in a country that is not at war. Religious cleansing. |

DaniDani: Jonathan joining the race in 2027 will be a game changer. Peter obi will suspend his presidential ambition and support Jonathan. Atiku will put on hold his presidential ambition and also support Jonathan. South East, South South, and many parts of North will be a landslide victory for Jonathan. For these urchins, including the lawyer in the above article can cringe and suffer epilepsy for all I care. Not again to the demonic hurricane that has befallen Nigerians. I would prefer PO and pray Jonathan will support him. But if not and Jonathan is on yhe ballot. Tinubu is a gonner. |

There was a country Before we said they were first class because their brother Buhari was the head but now tinubu is the head but even so their impunity rose to all time high. Tinubu is either clueless, a coward or an accomplice. |
