@ Sushiluv Even if your sponsor is willing to take all financial responsibility for your visit to the UK the onus is on you to prove to the HC that you will return to Nigeria at the end of your visit. Therefore it is prudent to submit documents that will convince them that this is the case. Having less than 50K naira in savings is not necessarily a deal breaker. However, they will want to see how much you earn on a monthly basis. What are your outgoings? Do you own your own property? Are you married? Do you have children? Basically, anything that will prove to them that you have strong ties to Nigeria. Whatever you do, don't be tempted to submit false documents. It's just not worth it because they do check. Also, don't ask your sponsor to send you a lump sum to boost your bank account. They will want proof of where that money came from. Remember that ECOs at the HC are mostly convinced that everyone is trying to run to the UK to stay there illegally and work!!! Best of luck with your application. Hi, Im interested inthe visa invitation letter to the uk,my question is what if you have sum1 thats a citizen and he's inviting you over for just 2weeks and is ready to take up every financial responsibility, and you dont have so much as 50k in naira in your account but you are working is it still possible to get the visa? |
Hello all, Planning on staying at this hotel when in Lagos in March. Was recommended by a friend. Any of you know of it? Have you stayed there? Any info welcome! Thanks. |
You need to have as much documentation as possible. However, the type of documentation required depends on your current circumstances. Are you a student or are you working? Anyway, either way you will need a letter of invitation from ur sponsor that should include details of where you will stay, how long you will stay etc. Also, it would be a good idea to get any official documentation that ur cousin has regarding the graduation. And of course, if this person will be financially responsible for your stay in the UK then you will need their 3 most recent bank statements. Briefly, if you are a student you will need to submit a letter from ur Uni to prove that you are a student and this letter must state what course u are studying, when you started and when you will finish. This letter must be on official headed paper and must have the the stamp from ur uni. If you are working, then you will be expected to submit your own bank statements and a copy of any contract of employment that you may hold. Always a good idea to get a letter from your employer as well that states that they are aware of ur intention to travel and that they are expecting you back to work on your return to Nigeria. Again, headed paper and company stamp. Be aware when submitting ur bank statement that the embassy will expect you to have access to aprox. £50 per day to cover the cost of your stay in the UK (excluding accommodation). The most important thing to remember when applying for your visa is that the onus is on you to prove what you are submitting. Best of luck! |
Congratulations on getting your Schengen Visa. Because the visa was issued by the French Embassy your first destination MUST be France. However, once you have entered France you are then free to travel as you wish within the Schengen area. You will find that the easiest way to travel between Paris and the Netherlands is by train. Or, if your finances are limited then you can travel by bus - Eurolines. |
JUSTGOOD Just because I have a different opinion to you doesn't mean that I don't have the right to post here on Nairaland. Funny that you say that I should go and post on British websites because you know absolutely nothing about me. You don't know where I live, what nationality I am, what race I am, what sexuality I am. However, because of your narrowmindedness you didn't hesitate to make assumptions. I dare say that there are plenty of people on here who would be horrified that you feel that you have the right to speak for the entire Nigerian population, because I know for a fact that the entire Nigerian population aren't as narrowminded, racist and homphobic as you are. Oh, and by the way, don't want to shock you now, but some Nigerian people are gay too!! |
Your child will always be your child no matter what decisions that they make in their lives. I don't know why some people on this discussion are so homophobic. Everyone in life has choices these days - wouldn't the world be a much better place if we could all just be more tolerant. Also agree with other posters who say that this discussion shouldn't be advertised on the homepage. Doesn't really help in improving the impression of Nigeria and it's people. |
What country are you based in? |
Well, first of all you need to do some market research. Who would your target audience be? How are you planning on distributing the product? What is your profit margin? Is N1300 the cost to the customer or the cost per unit to you? How many staff will you need to make this business work? How will you persuade people to use your product instead of the buying bags or bottled water? Will you have exclusive distribution rights in Nigeria? Think that it's great that you are looking at starting your own business! If you need any free sales and marketing advice then feel free to get back in touch. |
In addition to the advice above I would like to add that you must know your target market e.g. how people do business in Nigeria and how people do business in the UK differs hugely. |
Cos men are always selfish and impatient maybe? |
Stop being such hypocrites boys! What's the big deal of she slept with someone else or not? Bet you guys aren't still innocent virgins are u? lol |
@Free Completely agree! Not all of us ladies are interested in the size of a man's wallet. In fact some of us ladies are more financially secure than you boys could ever hope to be! And of course because of that, we end up having to figure out if a guy is really interested in us for who we are, or for the lifestyle that we can provide! |
Your mate would be better to use just one sponsor. It's hard enough to have a visa application approved in the first place without him complicating matters. |
I had my first baby last year and experienced similar pain. My midwife advised that I bathe in warm water and salt at least three times a day. Apparently it helps to keep the wound clean and therefore heal faster. However, a month is quite a long time to be experiencing very sharp pain, so if in doubt then please see your gynae because there is a possibility that the wound may have become infected. If this is the case then a course of antibiotics will be needed. Metronidazole is probably best if your wife is breast feeding. |
