An IG user @digwe took to the social media platform to claim that Davido's friend Tagbo's spirit appeared to her in the early hours of today. She added that Tagbo asked her to deliver a message.

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo's son Tobi is today celebrating his 3rd wedding anniversary with wife, Toyin.
The couple who have a daughter, got married in October 18, 2014.

A Nigerian cleric has explained why Muslim faithfuls should endevour to pay regular visits to the cemeteries wherever they are.



Alhaji Salihu Ajetunmobi, a cleric, has advised Muslims to pay regular visits to cemeteries so as to remind themselves of death and the vanity of life.

According to Vanguard, Ajetunmobi, of Olorunsogo Mosque, Ilorin told newsmen on Wednesday that the visits would make the living to remember that life was short, with the grave always waiting for everyone.

“When one sees graves, it forces a deep reflection; it forces those alive to appreciate the fact that only a thin line separates the living and the dead,” he said.

He advised Muslims to always understand the futility of chasing after worldly materials, pointing out that such possessions were only temporal and would not be useful when one was dead.
“For Muslims, the criteria for determining success should not be how many cars or houses one has acquired.
“It should not be about how fat one’s account may be.
“Success should be measured in how one was able to worship Allah diligently and with humility, because that is what will grant us the ticket to paradise,” the cleric said.

He urged Muslims to always recite the Quran so that their hearts would be attuned to godly things and not be misled by Satan.

The cleric warned Muslims against hardening their hearts, pointing out that those with hardened hearts would not partake in Allah’s mercies.
“Those with hardened hearts normally move far from Allah. No matter the sermon, their situation remains the same.

“People with such hearts will find it difficult to perform any good deed in life,” he said.

The Nigerian Army has revealed that its troops rescued a 6 year-old boy from Boko Haram captivity in Bama Local Government Area of Borno.

Brig. Gen. Sani Kukasheka Usman, the Director, Army Public Relations, in a statement issued in Maiduguri on Friday, said the Troops of 202 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army, on Operations LAFIYA DOLE, in furtherance of clearance and blockade Operation DEEP PUNCH 2, on Thursday 12, cleared Boko Haram terrorists' enclaves in Abaram, Churuchuru and Aulajiri villages in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
"The terrorists on sighting own troops withdrew in dissary as the troops overpowered them with a heavy fire. Troops neutralized 3 of the terrorists, rescued a child who is between 5 to 6 years of age and recovered two Dane Guns.

"Similarly, troops of 151 Battalion, 21 Brigade on patrol encountered some Boko Haram terrorists along Bama-BOCOBS road. The troops engaged the terrorists in a heavy fire fight and neutralized quite a number of them, while some of the terrorists escaped with gunshot wounds. Regrettably, a soldier was wounded in action during the encounter. He has since been evacuated to the 7 Division Hospital and Medical Services and he is in stable condition" he said

The burial of the late Mrs. Olanike Disu has been scheduled to hold today after the woman died tragically 24 hours after celebrating her birthday.


Mrs. Olanike Disu, the adorable dame who died 6 weeks after her husband passed on is to be buried today (Monday, September 11, 2017), according to Encomium.

Disu died 24 hours after celebrating her birthday leaving many people in serious shock. A Service of Songs was held in her honour on Sunday, September 10, at the Civic Centre on Ozumba Mbadiwe on Victoria Island (Lagos) at 5 pm.

Just within two years, Disu lost some of the men dearest to her. First, it was her brother-in-law, Mr. Tajudeen Disu, the Managing Director of the Lekki Free Trade Zone, who was shot dead during a clash between mobile police officers and youth of Okunraiye community, Lagos, October 12th, 2015.

It was a most gruesome death that shook the Lagos social establishment. Few months after, she lost her father, Pa. Elkanah Olatunji Kobnah Williams. Earlier this year, she lost her husband who reportedly just slumped and died. Exactly, six weeks after her husband, Abayomi Disu, passed on in July, Olanike joined him. Her husband, Abayomi Aderibigbe Disu was born in 1961, and he was the C.E.O of Front Page Advertising Agency located in Ogudu area of Lagos. He got married to Olanike in 1989, and both are survived by two children.

He reportedly slumped and died in the early hours of July 25 and was buried on July 26, 2017. He was 57 when he died, while his wife died at 54. The mother of two never quite recovered from the shocking death which left her to take care of their two kids alone. A 1986 graduate of the Oklahoma City University where she bagged a BA in Mass Communications, the late Disu was a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
