Fair enough. you're right about their navy.

But tbf to Russia, their military doctrine is majorly defensive and not to project power. They have the military and technical expertise for a mordern navy, but they are not interested. The few warships they have are heavily concentrated for defense of their territorial waters in the Baltic sea and Black sea including their submarines.

So because of the military doctrine that doesn't project power, having multiple warships and Aircraft carriers will be useless. That is why they only have Missiles and fighter jet. All their military R& D is directed majorly toward making faster and deadlier missiles and fighter jets .

Honestly, The way Russia military is structured, they are not even a threat, as regards to world domination. I don't know why USA can't leave Russia's corner of the world(Eastern Europe) to them and stop threatening their security.

The country with the ambition of world domination is China, and strangely, Europe , USA and the likes are not even doing anything about China. The last president that tried to do something about it got shamed out of office. It seems the Chinese has bought the Democratic party.

China's Policies, both economic and Military points to that direction of world domination.

In the economic policies of china, they have the belt and road initiative, currency swap deal for Yuan with a lot of countries.

In their military, China bought an old Soviet Era Aircraft carrier from Russia, as well as old decommissioned Aircraft carriers from the British for studying, they reversed engineered it and built their own first Aircraft carrier. Now they are currently building 2 additional aircraft carriers simultaneously and could be ready in 5 years time. In the next 10 years, we could be having a Chinese military with at least 5 Aircraft carriers.

Now tell me what a country want to use that amount of Aircraft carriers to do, if not to project power, just like the USA presently does with its 11 carriers.

By the time the idiots at Washington wake up to the Chinese reality, it could be too late. But it's Russia who just want to be left alone at their own corner of the continent that they see as a threat.

I agree with you. Finland and Sweden have the right to join any military alliances it deem fit, but we have to be realistic here. I don't think Russia has any beef against military alliances, afterall regardless of Nato, the EU has the responsibility to protect other eu member states. It's enshrined in the TFEU (treaty of function of the European union).

Russia's beef is with the USA. It was the influence of the US that made Nato, a supposedly defensive alliance to attack countries that didn't attacked it such as Serbia, Libya and Syria. It was also the US, using nato as a pretext of provoke Russia in this war. Nato is simply an arm for US hegemony. Its as simple as that. Let's not also forget how the US played a role to destabilise the soviet Union, and Russia remembers this clearly.

It is also the US that has military bases spread all around the world, encircling China through Korea and Japan, and now Russia through Nato and the EU. Prevention is better than cure. You don't let Nato camp in your backyard, especially when the so called defense alliance has been offensive to others that never dreamed of attacking in.

Every time America invades other smaller nations, what do you think is the underlying reason for that? Is it not because those nations don’t have nukes? If Putin has to use threats of his nukes as leverage to stop NATO expansion on his borders then so be it. The whole purpose of nuclear weapons is to serve as a deterrence. We all know America and NATO would have invaded russia by now were it not for their nukes. And Russia has never threatened any smaller nation that didn’t first threaten them with attempts to join NATO. They have never invaded any smaller nation for purely financial reasons like the US and NATO.

Russia is in a position where even if it doesn't win the war, it still wouldn't lose it. If all the nukes in Russia were to be donated in Russia, it can still end life on earth. And with a leader like theirs, you can't bett against such move

You missed the point completely.

His point is that, Europe will end up pushing Russia so much that they could end up using nukes. If that happens, Europe will retaliate , which means that they will extend the war zones and Russia will start nuking other part of Europe. Europe becomes a wasteland.

I swear. The very existence of NATO is another world war waiting to happen. A relic of the Cold War, it has no reason to exist in my opinion except deliberately provoking russia for no reason. USA is a free nation practicing democracy hence the rule of law prevails and as such USA is the police of the world...but that cannot be said of communist Russia who practice rogue and tyrannical dictatorship who suppress dissent and rule of law hence most sane countries don't want to form alliance or associate with them except for some hypocritical nations..

I bet you if you were given free visas to Russia and USA you would chose USA because you will be very free unlike Russia that is a security risk
