This is a victimless crime because the idiot ingested the drugs into his stomach

Why are you idiots like this ?

Did someone force him to swallow over a kilo of cocaine ?

You people will forever remain a heathen race of Cainanites for making excuses for your criminals.

Now blame Tinubu as president for why your criminal bro swallow pellets of cocaine .

Idiots

Very scary and tense, she was given a death penalty, in Thai language she didn't even understood. If it wasn't for the bribe money she gave the prison guards during her escape through the tunnel full with shit. She didn't even knew drugs were packed in her luaggage by her so called boyfriend she met on vacation, she was innocent unlike the naija guy who ingested drugs knowingly to traffic into Thailand.

I pity this Naija guy also, he will regret the day he was born, it doesn't seem as if he has any money to pay his way out, hence he did the drug run in the first place, he was probarbly promised to be paid a meagre $3000 or maximum $5000.
Hmmmm so he could even be just a courier and not the owner...na wa ooo why risk your life for such meager amount hmmm

Honestly I wish I could rewatch the film cos I was just very young when I first saw the movie but even at that I knew what it was all about

There's a guy I know who spent 10 years in a Thai prison for selling drugs locally.

First time i watched that movie, i was young, it really frightened me, but it still didn't stop me from some shit i done as an adult. That movie was actuallys a true story.

And that woman was lucky because she was a white woman and her father had the money and experiences to get her outta jail.
Honestly very tense and captivating movie.... how I wish I could watch it again.....but relating it to this topic honestly I pity the Naija guy oooo

The North are playing boju boju with Terrorism.
I simply don't understand how someone can move over 200 students and vanish into thin air without anyone noticing or resisting.
Did they come in convoy of vehicles or bikes?
How come nobody noticed when they were coming or when they were going to raise alarm?
The former president Buhari was simply protecting Terrorists brothers by insisting that they should be called bandits instead of Terrorists that they are.
Let them just keep that their Terrorism game in their backyards and not bring it southwards.
Honestly na wetin dey tire me ooo I begin to wonder if we have military intelligence or dss.....look at how Russia was able to intelligently apprehend the terrorists that wrecked havoc on its citizens... honestly if na Nigeria those terrorists will escape

How much are they collecting? Do you have an official figure?

Just so you know,
A single tech company (Google) contributed $701Billions to the US economy in 2022 so it's no brainier how the net economy of the US is worth 25trillion dollars.

Our entire budget this year even with the so called padding is just N28.77 trillion which is just about 20.5Billion dollars

You can juxtapose these values with the population of each country.

I hope this clarifies.
It all boils down to how you judiciously used the ones being collected over the years which will rub on infrastructure ie roads electrical, services etc

Stop explaining nonsense. Lagos state government is doing this for tax purposes and not for any security reasons. The idea of seizing driver's vehicles is not only draconian it is criminal. Uber drivers are not staffs of Uber, they simply use their app to run their business, so why hold them responsible for Uber's so called wrong doing. It just like going to confiscate a seller's goods because Jumia or Jiji is having issue with government.

You guys are just so quick to defend rubbish.

By the way, it is not best practice for government to have access to the database of a private company if you are not investigating the company for a criminal breach. The normal practice in sane climes is to reach out to the company to provide you information on the particular driver you are investigating if that driver has committed a crime. If the company refuses to provide you that information, then you can sue the company for obstruction of a criminal investigation. That is how it is done and not by having a free ride on the company's database.
Don't mind them so that they can sabotage them

And where will the fund to meet all the welfare packages you listed come from?

If America don't get adequate data how do they become a multi trillion dollar economy to be able to do all those social welfare packages.

We have to be objective sometimes if we want the best for our country.
Really, what is so difficult in providing data?
Providing data is more like a security risk because the Lagos State can't be trusted....it could lead to sabotaging their operations

The ones they have been getting as taxes from Uber and other sectors if they have been judiciously spent believe me you would never see any bad road, uncompleted and abandoned roads in Lagos.....this means that the revenues are not used for what they are meant for

Why is Uber hiding their databasehuh

Give access to state government for security of passengers and that of drivers.

Also, I suspect the LASG may be interested in bringing these drivers into their tax net...this may be seen as a bad one..but it's a good one. Everyone earning should pay tax.
Uber drivers have been paying tax from each trips...the issue is this people don't use the taxes judiciously that's why you see so many bad road's and abandoned road projects everywhere and also insecurity caused by the hoodlums and area boys enjoying the patronage of Lagos State

Uber won't try this in many cities of the world.
Which cities are you talking about hope you are not referring to America because you always compare when you want to fleece the people but when it's time to do what other countries like America do in terms of welfare and good roads, security, shelter, electricity... payment of welfare for senior citizens above 60 years old ...you will never see them doing that

You call it greedy, but should people earn income and refuse to pay income taxes?

But yet I'm sure you want government to subsidize everything for you
Uber drivers already pay tax which is deducted from every trip from the inception of Uber....the issue is we have Hawks in government who always come back to ask for more but the taxes they've been collecting are not judiciously expended cos no body to check and balance

I throway salute for Lagos State Government.
Seriously Lagos-state is far ahead of other subnationals in Nigeria.
I believe this move by the government is simply a way to protect the citizens of the state. For those who don't understand the story but simply like to criticize the actions of government,I believe I can break it down for you.
All the government is doing is simply trying to have a database of all registered drivers on the Uber and Moore, the API is the back end where all the information is stored,by accessing it, Government can easily trace any driver who commits a crime without having to go the company.
It's simply killing a bird with One very big stone,I believe the company is trying to protect its database but if there's a law that requires it to provide the database of all its drivers,it's better it complies or disengages from operating in the state.
I sympathize with all the drivers whose vehicles have been seized, but bolt and Moore should do the needful instead of putting their drivers through such a traumatic experience.
God bless Lagos State
God bless Nigeria........
Does Lagos State also have the database of hoodlums and area boys who attack motorists when there is a breakdown on the highway or have a deflated tyre....so that we will know that those hoodlums are working for the government

The crime caused by the Hoodlum and area boys nko....ok the hoodlums are working for the government...many of them all over Lagos especially when your vehicle breaks down they will attack you....the main thing is for Lagos State government to give them uniforms so we will be able to differentiate them
