MrTips , getting over this addiction before beginning to study would take quite a while, plus it won't be easy, as I'm usually alone most times.

Well, but you still need to get rid of it, it will pay off in the long run, hope you know there are lot more exams and tests to write and prepare for when u get admitted. Dont try to study hard, rather study smart. Just be tactical to discorver when & how is best for you to study and assimilate.

Hi, this isn't a brief post, but I'd be really grateful if it could be read to the end and possible solutions provided.

I took Jamb last year, medicine and surgery, but it didn't work out, due to some errors with the system at my seat. It made my jamb score low, hence affecting my post ume aggregate. My mum offered me one last chance. She bought me a Pre degree form for pharmacy (cus the medicine is unavailable for Pre degree) and jamb form for the medicine.


I realize that I have to study really really hard to get either of those courses, but it's been three months, and I keep procrastinating. Exams are getting really closer. I can't study. I've tried everything I could, including drawing up different daily schedules, still I can't concentrate.


My main distraction, is my phone though,playing games or watching movies but I can't do away with it for the time being as it contains my study music. Has anyone reading this being in this situation before? I really need help. I don't wanna disappoint myself anymore.

Hello to all my fellow nairalanders and academics out there.
I have been finding it difficult to research useful information for my final year project work captioned (Bank customers information tracking system).
I am a computer science student. my project supervisor is making matters worst. the material I intended to use as guide has not been of help as well.

Please and please am writing this on behalf of my Lil sis.
This evening on whatsapp she engaged me into a chat and she told me that Uni Abuja has offered her admission and she was offered Agric to study. While I was busy congratulating her and telling her am happy 4 her I realized she don't like the course and when I ask her why she don't like it, she also asked me several questions about the course that I am ignorant of. I knew she had always wanted to be a medical doctor or pharmacist.
Please drop your helpful advises. Amongst the questions she asked me was: what can she do after studying that course and what job can she secure in future as a graduate.

Please candid suggestions only

She knows herself and her condition best, let her consider so many things before making the final decision. If she can't compromise with the course offered, then she should wait for another year. I didnt mean to point this at you. Am kinda raising a point. Dont be upset if am using you as a case study.


Sex seems to be everywhere-including our campuses. however, today's campus students appear to have different sexual attitude and behaviour than the previous generation. Being into relationship could be of help and also could make life misterable for student. It actually depends on the kind you're into. It better one play safe.

We have seen several statistics who against it, with proofs. Religiously i think is nt advisable. But it ok on a platonic level. Where both patner get to advice and help themselves spiritually, mentally, academically and all that.


Some people say. So what? It's nt a big deal being into sexual relationship. They're wrong. Having sex changes one feelings reaction. Yep, that's right, it actually changes your feelings. Kinda sounds like a big deal now, when you have sex, you over-xpose urself to opposite gender, you cant just hold it. This make you want to come back for more MORE MORE. Overtime your body starts to rewire itself. It doesnt take long until you crave it. You have to do MORE. WHY? Because you're addicted. And that addiction takes over your life, and start to reflect in academic performances. It can control you. Addiction doesn't care who you're. It doesnt care how old you are. It doesnt think about your future. It just wants to be satisfied.
