HealthRe: FG Begs Doctors, Nurses To Remain In Nigeria by Mrvalent(m): 12:17am On Aug 24, 2022
SmartPolician:
Stop begging them. Nigerian universities are some of the cheapest in the world. Some doctors don't even spend up to $20k all through their years in medical school. Meanwhile, that's what many schools spend per annum in the US and other Western countries.

You just have to use bonds to keep them here. If you go through public schools and enjoy government-subsidized education, you should be ready to work in Nigeria for 7 years or more or you pay the government $10k per year for 10 years wherever you are in the world or you will be declared wanted. However, the government needs to improve their pay, tools and working conditions here.
The folly in your write up is that ....this should also apply to all the graduates. Computer Science students for example will take a loan of $40k in the USA. You should also make such a law for computer science graduates moving to other countries from Nigeria. If that's your modus operandi. Moreso, the quality of education is far off what obtains in US schools.. So there's no correlation in prices at all.

After an inflammatory statement, you now tried to save face by saying "doctors should be well compensated"... like it would cover up your spiteful intent and frankly poorly reasoned write-up.

And No, this is not an emotional response... Just calling out your BS.

Thanks a lot for the prompt answers @temodent @Ashirioluwa @geolan. I really appreciate. God bless you all.

I guess my option is to apply for priority visa then. Please what's the difference between Non-settlement and Settlement Standard Visitor Visa. Basically, want to use the visa for my plab 2 exam. I want to confirm if it's Non-settlement that is appropriate for this.
TIA.

Please how long does standard Visitor's VISA take these days.
I'm planning to leave exactly 8 weeks between my biometric and my exam date in November. Please...Will this be enough out in this period?

How many weeks is the earliest in this period for first time applicant?

The opening balance for the POF account statement is 1.3M. I plan to put 100k-110k per month for four months .So I'll be applying with 1.7M (closing balance) thereabout in my account. The budget for my travel will be like 550k for Flight, accomodation and feeding. I'm spending 5 days. Going for exam and coming back immediately like 1 day after. So my monthly expenditure is like 50-60k.

what is ur monthly expense figure? I am concerned about your disposable income… what allowance have you quoted for the month? and what is the budget for the trip? Hope u have other strong ties to Nigeria because in my opinion your financial circumstance is average. .. if you subtract say 50k for allowances, it further depreciates the picture… except there are other ties then yes pls go ahead

Hello. Please can anyone here clarify? I'll be glad.

I want to know if salary irregularities have any effect on visa approval for UK... For example, in my case, my salary per month is paid like the middle of the next month. (that is.. between 10 th and 22nd).

Also my salary varies per month as I'm paid per day (ranges btween 156,000 and 180,000)

I plan to submit statement for 3 months and provide pay slip as well as letter of employment.
Please, can anyone confirm if these irregularities will affect my application.
Thanks in advance
