I guess you have never been to Lagos to be asking such a dumb question😂 obidients are truly not intelligent, so is their gbajue master

A man that earns 50,000 naira per month should pay 35% as tax?

Tax- 17,500 naira

Transport for a month - 9,000 naira (450 naira * 20 days)

Feeding for a month - 30,000 (1,000 * 30 days)

Rent - 3,500 a month

Total : 60,000 Naira.

He will be left with minus 10,000 naira. I did not even add power, gas bills, etc.
Yes after paying it let him vote based on tribal and religious sentiments let's see

Maybe you dropped out of school at the primary level. I have checked and checked many sites on this issue. Not a single one has indicated that the investment was in the form of land. It clearly stated that Obi invested 2 Billion Naira at that time. No mention of land investment.
You can play that dumb game with your fellow low-IQ Obi supporters but not with me.

Here is more. It clearly stated that it's the state's money not in the form of land. Read and comprehend.

In August 2013, Peter Obi, the governor of Anambra state, invested 2 billion Naira (approximately US\$12,616,356.43) of state money for a 10% stake in Next International, a company that owns shares in International Breweries Plc. In 2018, Obi said he invested $20 million in International Breweries on behalf of Anambra state, and as of June 2022, the stake was worth $5.38 million. As of 2021, Anambra state is the largest shareholder in International Breweries Plc, with a 43% economic interest.
International Breweries Plc is a subsidiary of Intafact Beverages Limited, which owns the Hero Lager brand. Other brands owned by Intafact Beverages Limited include: Budweiser, Castle Milk Stout, Grand Malt, and Beta Malt.
AB InBev, the world's largest brewing multinational company, is also a major investor in International Breweries Plc.
Bros no where was it stated it was a cash investment.. That investment was land valued at that amount

In fact no quote me again

Come on, I am ashame to type it, I mean sometimes I still expect PO to deny it, it's too shameful.

In civilised world, we refer to it as money laundering, yeah, when you can't steal money from government then you desired to buy worthless shares.

Now you talk about exchange rate, do you know what 30 million dollars means, do you even know how exchange rates works?

You can't buy shoes, bags, soap, rice, beans, drinks all in dollars and expect a miracle, this is the repercussions of those years of wasteful spending, importation, money laundering and all bad decisions the previous government and PO if I must add brought upon Nigerians.

You can't invest trillions into roads and rails

Less than 100 billion onto SMEs and expects us not to import

A controversy arose in August 2013 about the issue of shares to Next International a company owned by the Anambra state governor Peter Obi.[4] It is also reported that he invested 2 billion Naira of the state money for a 10% stake in the brewery.

From 2012
premiumtimesng .com/news/98281-anambra-governor-peter-obi-in-brewery-ownership-scandal.html?tztc=1

Statement from Anambra State GOVERNMENT. They will know more than you -

Given the repeated fake news about the current dollar value of the investment by the Peter Obi administration in SABMiller, it has become imperative to clarify the matter in public interest.

The Peter Obi Administration invested the sum of N1,955,535,247.00 (equivalent of approximately US$12,616,356.43 at the then average CBN exchange rate of N155.00/$1.00) in Intafact Beverages Limited, a green-field brewery being set up in Onitsha by SABMiller Breweries of South Africa in 2012. The Naira equivalent of this investment is stated and carried in the Reports of the State Accountant General with the Financial Statements for the fiscal years ended 31st December since then. These are public documents.

According to Ifeatu Onejeme, Commissioner of Finance, Intafact Beverages was subsequently consolidated into International Breweries Plc when the parent company, SABMiller of South Africa was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the world’s largest brewer. Based on this development, AB InBev consolidated and merged all its brewery operations in Nigeria under International Breweries Plc and all shareholders of Intafact Beverages Limited, including Anambra State Government (ANSG), received shares of International Breweries Plc for their respective investments.

ANSG received and still holds 407,321,264 ordinary shares of International Breweries Plc in exchange for its investment in Intafact Beverages Limited . Based on the NGX closing price of N5.50 as at 20/6/22, these shares were valued at N2,240,266,952 on that date. Based on the Central Bank of Nigeria I&E exchange rate of N415.75/US$1.00 on same June 20, 2022, this investment was valued at an equivalent of approximately US$5,388,495.37 (and at N604/$1.00 parallel market rate, only US$3,709,051.24).

We do not want to join issues with the purveyors of the fake news but only need to state the facts to inform the public.
All these APC people self... What is different with what I said here now?

The investment is land investment valued at that amount

Did you do economics at all

You are clueless as to how investment works. Obi has never denied investing money into the Brewery. If Obi did not invest in HERO Beer Brewery, how come the State of Anambra has substantial ownership of the business? How did Anambra become a major shareholder in the Hero beer company? Who invested Anmbra money into the business for the State to have substantial ownership in the company?
There is a video of LP chairman back then complaining that Obi invested the state money into HERO beer.

This is the same way you guys claimed he built schools even after Obi himself said that he did not.

You are obviously clueless about what you are talking about or just lying like Pandora pathological lair Obi.
Anambra state only provided land which was valued at 10% and the host community 5%

This coastal road will be tolled.. meaning it's financing itself when in used that's why it's a good infrastructure to finance.
How much toll would you charge on that road

3rd mainland bridge takes 170,000 cars per day... Say this one takes 80,000 cars daily in fact 100,000 cars

Say you toll it 1000 . .. That's 100 million per day

That's 36.5 billion yearly

Would take you 22.5 years to breaks even... That's not even adding maintenance and cost of toll collection.. That would shift it to 30 years minimum

You know what the interest payment of that loan would be after 30 years?

Even if it's at 5% the intrest alone would 40 billion

So it can't even generate enough revenue to pay intrest

Any party who's in charge of INEC backend team will win the election.

Most tech people here will agree with how easy it for a backend guy that in charge of database can perform CRUD operations on it and can actually use it to manipulate database.

It's simple, buy INEC backend and do some little rigging work on the field, you will win.
If APC can just get 20% of the actual vote, the backend guys will do the remaining.

A tech person will understand what I mean.

This is why I am not even going to waste my time to vote in 2027

So you'd rather ferry the millions of people that cross the third mainland bridge daily so that the government can make money.

When we talk about economic benefit, we're not talking about making money. We're talking about the changes and impact on the economy that the project provides.

Let's even go with your ferry idea. How big would it have to be to carry the volume of people on the third mainland bridge daily? What would the traffic gridlock all over Lagos look like without that bridge?
When you talk about economic impact you are talking about boast in GDP, revenue and job creation that's it

You borrow to provide access to credit to your business community.. They expand make more profit.. Create more jobs pay back the loan

Then you tax them and use it to build infrastructure

Secondly, the investment has not lived up to its potential as stated by the current Governor of the state.
Why will you invest even a kobo into a brewery while your state is under the threat of gully erosion, dilapidated schools, bad roads, no public water, and many more critical needed infrastructures?

Why will you even invest a kobo into beer beer-making venture instead of these other critical projects?

My argument is this, in the present economic situation like we have now we don't need something like this, you have 2 other bridges

And we can have fairly industry that can carry 1 million cars per day , create multiple jobs, and generate billions
