First Quarter

Nigeria 13

USA 19

Nigeria struggling again with making shots. Shooting 29% from 2pts and 50% FT

Sloppy a few times in defence to allow the USA make easy layups and rebounds but defence a lot better than yesterday.
the defense wasn't that bad yesterday except when the whole team went to sleep in 2nd...Dillard and Diop almost ruined them...

I hope we don't have 2nd meltdown today....

Just like Nigeria. We are slow starters, hence my initial concern about today's game.

Crazy that the US got their first 3pt in the 3rd quarter. They have a backcourt of prolific 3pt shooters (DT, Sabrina, Jewell, Plum, Jackie etc.) They were lucky as Belgium deserves the win, but qualify always shows itself.
The difference between both slow starters is that we (NG) tend to sit out some quarters like we don't care e.g. our last match vs US, the 1th quarter we won by 22-11 only to sleep through 2nd quarter and wake again in 3rd only to sleep through the last 5 mins of the 4th...

The concentration level for NG always ebbs and flow buh the Americans just loves beastmode rallying it's almost their itinerary.

I am sorry for Senegal o... because the anger this Belgium team will use to play them, knowing they have just 2 games to go...It is well..
The US are always slow starters, the last time we played them we led until the final 5mins.... their overall quality always seems to come to bear.

I like Pallas Kunaiyi Akpanah a lot . Been following her game since College days. She keeps getting better with every tournament. We should just try and beat Belgium. I know it won't be easy, but we can do it. Cheers.
Trust me with our turnover and ill-advised personal foul, we have no business winning this match if not for her tenacity especially around our paint..

This team doesn't need Chiney. I'll do a post mortem soon with the stats but off the top of my head, what we need are shooters like Arike especially from beyond the arch.

You'll notice Senegal we primarily guarding their post. The other defensive work they did was guard Amy who they knew was a profilic 3 point shooter and Tomi when she came in. They left every other person open cause they didn't think they could make those shorts. Thankfully Sarah and Lauren made big 3 point shorts that help cut the deficit.

Let me stop here. Will do more once I get a hold of the stats
Am seriously waiting for your review... about marking out shooters 76ers did same thing to Curry last night by putting Paul Reed on him, Curry didn't even have a single point for over 20mins....buh it open up space for Wiggins and Kuminga as it does for Lauren today

Our free throw also needs to improve they always seem to be in a rush.

Final

Nigeria 72
Senegal 65

The Dtigress somehow rallied in the 4th quarter to get the win. This almost guarantees our ticket to Paris.
Bigger scoreline would have made sure of that ticket...buh hay its the Senegalese not the Malians...

Do you think Chiney might change her mind if Olympic become a reality.... this team would do with a shooter of her Caliber?

We don't need to chase those ones. They are never playing for the USA, not in a million years. If they want they should contact the coach. They aren't Arike level talent even though they'll of course improve our own pool of talent.
Please has Ogwunike sisters issues with representation been solved....what is the latest on them as regards the national team? cos I know Chiney is more into punditry now and her elder sister just changed team.

Even I do call grammy awards Beyonce awards because she will never loss any nomination. The truth is with or without awards music should impact lives of people that's what matters but you see this current Nigerian musicians are singing rubbish
"they are singing rubbish' buh it's same rubbish that is selling out shows and arena in Europe and America, shattering streaming numbers and drawing the biggest star around to our afrobeat stars for collaboration.... I think it's you that need checking, you are just an Hateful Hater.

Religion / Re: Why Yul Edochie Is Not Qualified To Be A Pastor by MSGAMBLE9: 11:40am On Feb 04

If so, then Apostle Paul who is an unrepentant mass murderer of Christians is not qualified. Paul as Saul did not only engage in mass murder of children, mothers and men who were followers of Jesus but boasted about it from time to time without any remorse, yet you dumb Christians named him a Saint. Yul Edochie did not slaughter anybody but you are trying your best to disqualify him. Yeye dey smell
When you say Apostle Paul is an unrepentant killer buh all you did is qoute his deeds as Saul before his encounter with holy spirit on his way to Damascus and he dedicated his whole to ministry as Penance...shows how ignorant you are and how gullible you can be by believing the lies of your Alfa and Sheik who face Sun to pray and called a Jihadist/War general and Paedophile a Prophet. Who is Dump here?

Fulani wey police dey fear,na him una go dey report to.

What is the essence of community when strangers come in to seize ur community lands.

They have earlier killed your progressive community women leader and u guys kept quiet.

Kai...I can see why u guys lost Ilorin to the Fulani minority. Even till date Fulanis are minority in Kwara state yet they control everything in that state in their minority.

By estimate, the Fulani in Nigeria aren't up to 6million and I don't know why a whole village with a fearless King could descend to that level such that, your cattle are rustled and almost killed the man who tended the cattle.

The whole scenario is a justification that u guys are too afraid of Fulani.

This can't happen in one particular region of this country.

Never!
You guys will just be yarning nonsense after taking in your Nkpuru-miri.... Please can you explain how the so-called Minority Fulani control everything in Kwara state with fact and figure?

I can bet it, your ass has never been to Ilorin and you don't know how the city is been runned not to talk of the State as a whole.

Please name the "particular region' with your dry chest... I hope it's not the sit-at-home every Monday region.

Them cricify her to force her to prostrate.

What will the prostrating do for him? A renowned musician needs the validation of a small girl as you said it?
Like I said you are probably not Yoruba.... it's not a matter of validation, it's a sign of respect for Elders and that shows you are well brought up.

You can wake up una Elders/ parents with slap or kicks for where you come from, we don't care... Is just the same way an Omoluabi would never understand why your people choose to call una brothers and sisters an Osu.

It's a Principle thing for a well cultured Omoluabi to knee or at least bow when greeting an Elder....We are not Westerners.

You would not understand unless you are an Omoluabi.... respecting an elder is ingrained into our culture and she is a typical example of the rude ones...

We don't wake our elders with slap or kicks over here like una.

How do they do their things Mr. things. The only thing I know is that all other tribes are stealing NigerDelta money.
Your tribe is collaborating with the Hausa by clinging to Federal power to steal Niger Delta people wealth. Can your region survive alone? Ask yourself?
Incase you are daft, let me enlighten you so you know what is really happening. The wealth from Niger Delta is shared among your region while the mineral resources coming from your land is mostly taken by your people. How many non Yoruba have right to mine minerals in your region? No one. Whereas go to the South South and see how your people are exploiting them.
I feel for SS people though..buh they need to improve their media prowess to create awareness to their plight ...as long as media space is been dominated and controlled by the Yorubas, the rest of you guys will remain slaves to their narratives.
