I air freight to Lagos all the time. We usually guarantee our customers 7-10 day delivery & usually we deliver in 5 days on average.

When you say mint cars, do you mean a new car or are you talking about gently used car (1-2yrs)

I used to be a driving instructor in Chicago (teen & adult)
Anytime I had to follow a so called veteran 9ja driver to
the DMV I usually brace myself for the worst.
They are usually opinionated & mostly incapable of adapting
to driving by the rules. You have to pray they don't start
honking for no apparent reason- 9 times out of 10 they will!
Worse still when they fail the road test; they attribute it to
driving in an unfamiliar car or the one that usually crack me
up- 'it is b/c the car is automatic; I would never have failed
if I have been driving a manual!'
In fairness it is hard to teach an old dog a new trick. Even
I know that I still retain some ingrained bad habits from my
days of driving in Lagos, even now I tend to curse out bad
drivers,  I do it quietly; but it makes me feel real bad even
though I know no one can hear me; b/c I'm mostly alone in
the car.
Bottom line until we realize that anytime we are behind the
wheels we are literally holding our lives in our hands; Nigeria
will continue to be a game of Russian roulette for her drivers.

I live in a motown (motorcity) suburb.
I have been dabbling in buying & selling cars now for 9yrs (since late 2000)
It took a while for me to adjust to my fellow countrymen calling every SUV a jeep.
In the States Jeep refers to the Jeep brand- Cherokee, grand Cherokee Laredo,
liberty, commander, wrangler, patriot & compass.
About 2weeks ago I had a customer ask me to help her
get an american spec  Sunny, she explained that she has been driving
a vtech but wants an 03-05 Sunny. Of course it took me a while to
figure out that Sunny is actually Nissan Sentra - worse still I have never
heard of vtech ( I assume from her description that it must be a honda
accord- I am probably wrong )

My point can Nairalanders please explain the terms baby boy, frog face benz etc, etc &
all the other commonly used car slang on this thread, it will be useful if new terms can
also be explained to us jjc on this thread.

At the price some people offer for vehicles, it would be better if they look at salvage vehicles, even at that some popular brands are still too expensive at salvage price.
I just wonder why Nigerians don't look more into American vehicles which tend to be better loaded & give you more bangs for the buck.
The myth of Japanese car ruggedness is just so overblown. I remember a time I wouldn't dream of driving anything but a Japanese model. Experience had since taught me that a well maintained American model will outperform most foreign models $ for $
However it is a shame that many so call 'clean title cars' are actually salvage & even dealers are easily hoodwinked as we are too busy looking for good deals to spend the nearly $40 required for a carfax report!
However how do you blame dealers for wanting to keep cost down especially the small potatoes,   whose entire savings are tied up in these cars & yet mostly have to depend on unreliable contacts back home,   who just want to get rid of the cars & recover their investment, ?
Forgive me NLders I'm just venting,  that's what frustration & lack of sleep will do to you
