shocked shocked man, and I thought the U.S.A's Economy was bad!!! shocked
IG:

Before saying gas is cheap in Nigeria, think of the income of the average Nigerian. In my area, a fresh university graduate working with the state government earns approximately N13,000 ($92) a month(remember millions like him are unemployed). The last time I know the price of a bag of rice, it was N3500 ($25) and that of sugar was N7000 ($50). I think we have every reason to want to crucify the government.

Gas prices are ridiculously high everywhere! Personally, I think that everyone should boycott gas and ride bikes (or walk) everywhere- demand for oil would go down and prices would also decrease (and you get good exercise.)

No they'd probably increase prices again saying that "there isn't sufficent demand" tongue

In Venezuela, Gas is cheaper than water. That Chavez guy has subsidized it so much, it is laughable. A gallon of Gas is Cheaper than a gallon of drinking water.

True, but the economy in venzuela suffers due to lost profits in many sectors

I wonder how long that will last. Populist moves are cool, but if the oil revenue is blown on unproductive subsidies there will be trouble in the future.

Josboy

That chat has Nigeria's price for GPG wrong. Nigerians pay N65 for a Liter of Gasoline, multiply that by 4 is N260 that is nearly $2 per gallon.

GPG=Gas per Gallon
