I agree with you to some extend but DPR will not merge with PEF and PPPRA, not at all. That's not what it's contain in the BILL.

DPR will stand on its own and be solely called THE COMMISSION and PEF and PPPRA will also stand on it own and be called "THE AUTHORITY. They are two diferent entities with seperate structures. This is the reason delaying PEF hopeful. Meeting upon meetings on this matter of merging with PPPRA.

PEF list would've been released since monday 26th but the technicalities of merging with PPRA is a very big issue coursing delay in the recruitment.

Consultants are currently working so hard on the reasons why PEF should stay aloft without merging with PPPRA and it will be published in public domain soon.

I initially thought the merging (PIB) won't affect the PEF list but I now know better after much explanations to me. there's a clause in that bill coursing delay so if PEF give you letter without ractification and harmonization with PPPRA on the need not to merge, then there will be issues and trust me, you wont like any technical issues to arrise after collecting APL.

Meetings upon meetings has been called on this subject matter but it will soon be over and possibly people will be called immediately.

DPR will be Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (COMMISSION), it will regulate upstream regualery operations including technical, operational and commercial activities of the Oil & Gas industry.

The COMMISSION (DPR) will also review the recommendation of government ministries, department and agencies and communicate decision accordingly, such decision will be complied by the relivent government ministries and agencies.

The Authority on the other hand shall be responsible for the commercial and technical regulation of the midstream and downstream petroleum operations in the industry.

The Authority will also promote the supply and distribution of natural gas and petroleum products in the midstream and downstream and the security of natural gas supply for the domestic gas market.

But in all of these, the DPR will be the chief host of both the Authority & Commission in terms policy supervision, this is where I totally agree with you. DPR will ensure compliance with all applicable laws governing both the upstream, midstream and downstream operations and the Authority shall also comply with DPR directives. As PEF hopefuls as you are, i felt it will be beneficial to you in knowing these little technicalities.

My dear, that office seems to be one of the highest paid office with amazing working condition in this country, they have branch office in either US or London too if I'm not mistaken.

Getting a job there require you to get serious connection more especially from the Presidency, sometimes, ministers are even turned down.

In the history of that office, I doubt if they had ever placed public advert for recruitment. They usually share it among governors, insiders, Presidency, fellow oil dealers or friends to the President.

You might sometimes be lucky to penetrate through any friends to their staffs, FCC chairperson or brothers but its in a rare occasion.

Their recruitment is a close system. You can only know about their recruitment once they are through with they have resumed. Talk or shout till tomorrow, they won't answer you.

EH means Experience Hire. You can have masters degree or government working experience not necessarily from oil & gas but government office or good private organization. You can also be placed on EH cadre if you've a good connection without masters or relivent working experience.

GT means Graduate Training, GT is a classical acronym of "Johnny Just Came" those without experience who just finished youth services. I hope you understand my explanation?

But there's nothing you can't achieve if you place your mind and work towards it by using any means necessary. YES, ANY MEANS NECESSARY. after all, na human being (UAR-naija) dey work for that office. Dem born us come dis world to come suffer? Just seat down and think, you can get the job.
