uncle other for original if you can if you can not carry the Printed copy go Vo can not simulate what will happen there or not...Don't forget to tell us how it goes so we can have the right answers to tell others when next they ask lol May their eyes be closed

I guess i would have to request the school to send it through dhl can't take any risk at the point...?

Yeah but that not enough reason.... if you get to POE and they say email version is not allowed there nothing you can say oooo. Even if you say but the VO gave me visa like that . They only say our rule is no scanned copy period .

I cannot predict for sure what they say or do at POE because i dont work there but that what stated on the offical website

Best to comply with the rules. You come too far to then been denied entry on something that you can correct within days .

@abujaNIV My I-20 was printed via email which was sent by my school..i hope this will not be a problem at the POE (Point Of Entry ) ??

The previous I-20 was delivered to my P.O box and i didn't pay for it ...

However i don't know the answer to your question. If email copies are now allowed at even visa interview then why the need to dhl the i20 .. its either the Vo did not notice or maybe its allowed. I dont know. Ask the Vo directly here on another thread and they might know

before i went to the Embassy i asked the school via email if it wouldn't be a problem for me at the embassy since its not the original copy but they didn't reply .fortunately for me ,i got my visa and the VO didn't ask anything about it

Bro ,I was denied three times ( two in Lagos and one in Abuja) before my Visa was approved the fourth time (Lagos ) ..The fourth time was different because i strongly Believed more in God and in myself .Like someone said to me ,don't make it seem if your visa is not approved it is the end of the world..Be calm. you need fasting and prayer .Change your thinking and picture victory in your thoughts...Turn down Negative vibes ...Refire again God of possibilities will make it happen ..If you don't believe in yourself no one will ...Never Give Up

A friend's interview was approved last week Tuesday and he was given the white paper. He was told he would be contacted to go pick up. He tracked his status on Friday and some minutes ago this morning and he says it's status is on administrative processing. The normal wait time should be 2 or 3 days after interview.

Please is there any among those approved last week that has picked up their passport?Thing is he wasn't told anything other than your visa is approved and you'll be contacted to go pick it up. Gurus please what does this indicate? He is quite worried and his school resumes on August 14th.

You should only consider this if you'll be attending Morgan State, CCBC, UB, Towson Uni and Johns Hopkins.

Thanks for this post ,I went to First bank at Isaac John they said i need a return ticket before i can get PTA then i sharply ran to Access Bank at Maryland she asked when i was leaving and she asked for a return ticket and i told her i don't have one because i am a student, She told me to bring the following in other for me to apply for PTA :

-A passport
-A valid visa
-Flight ticket
-Admission letter

..So the above discovery was made yesterday at GT Bank Ajah and also GT Bank, the one close to Balogun Market (**I dont know thw bramch name exactly, I am not conversant with Lagos, I find my way using Google Map and asking questions.)..They both gave the same response. I actually checked twice to be sure this was the case.

..Today after collecting my passport at DHL, Victoria Island, I decided to test my findings. I located one big GT Bank. Close to Law School. The place is well arranged and beautiful. So I went to the customer care lady she directed me to the cashier incharge. I was asked for the same thing.

- Flight Ticket
- Passport Data Page
- Passport Visa page

On submitting them she asked where's my return ticket, I was like what ?!!!! . Told her am going for studies, with a stern look. She carefully perused my Visa Page and went to her colleague to ask questions. Later went for photocopy, asked me to write my account number and Phone number. and told me to return tomorrow to pick it up. Saying of there's anything they need I would be called.

Just make sure it's less than 14 days to your travel date and make them understand you are a student and don't need a return ticket.

Brethren, it has happened ooo, I woke up around 1am and started rehearsing the possible interview questions done by Baba Texrem and Chief Blacnewton, I started praising God from 4am to 5am. Then off to embassy from Obalende where I lodged, I was still standing beside the keke when a police man asked me to come down, I come dey reason where I go come down from, omor na em dey collect my file o, begin ask about the SOA, make I call me sister, I come change am for them, naso dey carry me and two other guys with fake SOA to ATM machine, those guys withdrew and sorted their way leaving stubborn me there around after 6.they come give me my PASSPORT make I dey go after enough argument. (first victory)
I got to the embassy around 6:15 am, after all said and done.... Fast-forward to the interview

I was interviewed by the man at window 4 after denying first 5 applicants

VO: come over, good morning

Me :good morning to you sir and how was your night

Vo: fine thank you ,tell me about your school,

Me:illinois state university is the first public university in Illinois, founded in... He cuts in

Me :i got to know about Illinois state university through my undergraduate professor who happened to be my academic adviser

i filled my immunization form last year (the menningentis Vaccine stuff ) and also blood test as well ...do i have to do another test since its almost one year ?

Its sad that your friend wasted about $1000. Your friend is probably 29 and above, that's why he/she had to pay $300 P.S.. To the incoming students:: you don't need to take a quote to your school first, on the insurance website, you can check the plan that your school will accept, most schools are listed on the website with the plan that is acceptable to each school. If you are below 27 or so, you might not pay more than $200 and $300 for fall and spring respectively. The price goes up with age, still at that, its far better that the exorbitant fee your school will charge.By the way if you don't know what to use money for..I am a pm away. Lastly, fill your immunization form before you leave Nigeria and ask questions, no excuse for ignorance.

Morning guys. So happy for everyone receiving visa and the rest of us still hopeful. This thread will have more testimonies than the others.
If you can remember, I am the one who said the vo in Abuja embassy didn’t return my passport after denying me visa. Some people didn't beliveve me and some even made fun that I probably lost my passport because of the disappointment of being denied. Well after many mails and calls, and through the help of some people here, the embassy finally sent mail for me to pick up my passport at DHL office. However a letter was attached to that mail which says I can reapply at no cost and come with some documents and so on.
So I want to ask if this has happened before and what does it mean, and how do I go about applying at no cost?
I also need help from in house gurus on preparing for the interview again.
