Hello everyone, I just wanted to share my timeline and encourage those who are still waiting for a positive response. It will come. Not to type too much, see timeline below:

Submitted my application October 2, 2020
Biometric request October 3, 2020
Biometrics updated to passed October 10, 2020
NSE Request November 19, 2020
Submission of NSE requirements Nov 26, 2020
Medical Invitation January 19, 2021
Medical passed January 30, 2021
February 2021- Silence
March 2021- More silence

By now, I had deferred my Winter admission to Spring. I believed that the approval will come by then.

April 2021- Still nothing

Deferral to Winter 2022 term application submitted May 18, 2021

BVL May 19, 2021
PPR May 19, 2021

It took almost 8 months. I believed that I would get it, I just didn't know when. I sent emails and raised webforms but I don't know if they made any real difference.

I sent my passport and other documents to VFS Abuja 21st May and I got it back 31st May. That's less than 2 weeks.

I am very happy and grateful.

If you know anyone in Conestoga College willing to help an incoming student with settlement planning, I would appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I have plenty questions for that person.

I got accepted to Conestoga but still awaiting response on my visa application.

It state like this;

I am refusing your application on the following grounds:

Not Advisable. You need a minimum of band 6 in all tests

This would mean that you have previously scheduled for the test and probably did not show up. In a nutshell it happens if it is not your first time of booking the appointment.

I was duly scheduled for an uber test and then got there only to be told my name is not on the list for that day. If any one had had this same experience, what was the solution.

Dear Efrebor. I already tried a while ago. If you choose to pay in naira your bank will decline the transaction and you will then be asked to review. In a case were u proceed you will be overcharged. I hope this helps your misunderstanding

BTW i believe standard chaterred should allow this since its a foreign bank. Any ideas?

Simply declined kwa? Your account will be simply overcharged, stanbic stopped it a very long time before other banks did. Check page 44 of this thread

Thanks. There is no ham in trying cos if the bank does not allow it the transaction will simply be declined.

Not sure but a friend told me STANBIC has not stopped doing that when he checks out in Naira on Amazon but I don't know any details or how it works so proceed with caution...
