Ikechi17: Good house, Please I need advice ,am confuse on the next step to take . I applied on the 3rd of June , done biometric and upfront medical. Till now application still in progress . Sent mails and webforms, gotten the generic reply. My school opens 9 sept, and the school said I can't defer the program, that my only option is to withdraw before September 15 and get refund of fees paid, or take 3 courses online , pending when I get a decision, and pay the outstanding fall school fees before the September 15. And my program is practical nursing which must require in person teaching. What should I do ? My best advice for you is to withdraw your admission from that school. The timeframe they are giving is too short. |

I just received my GCMS note now…..kindly find attached….. Please gurus help look it up and translate what ‘request for medical exam’ and incoming correspondence mean at this point as I have done my medical upfront and passed on the 11th of June. May 14th applicant.
I will be waiting to hear from everyone….my body dey shake for the gym wey I Dey like this….!!!!! This section simply contains documents they have received from you and isn't really key info in regards to your application. Focus on the notes section, also what does your eligibility say and finally has info sharing been completed? |

Guys. In filling my visa application form, I computed fees for two years and filled that in tuition section. I hav seen that most people filled tuition for a year. Can this become a problem for me? |

You just have to believe it.
I don't wanna get in trouble. Get into what trouble... Are we going to report you to IRCC. Aren't we all sharing information here and helping each other. If you have information share all of it or say nothing at all. |

Perseverer: Information reaching me now is that CIC is playing hardball with many files.
In other words, they are refusing a lot of people.
I think this has to do with meeting the set target.
That's quite sad.
Please refire and pray to God to stand for you. How did you get this info? |

Stephblues: Really what they say about when it’s your time, nothing can stop it is really true. My story is a testimonial to that fact.
This journey started in 2017. I got back from the US and applied to a school in Texas, got admitted and I went on to apply for visa. I went with confidence thinking, what’s the worse that can happen? I was refused. I applied again and was refused twice again. I lost all hopes of traveling. I decided to look at Canada, unfortunately all the schools started rejecting me. I couldn’t get even one school not to talk of visa. So this year, I decided to change my plans and went for the UK, I immediately got admitted into 3 schools and with scholarships. My hope was restored. But my brother was still bent on me applying to Canada so I decided to give it another try. I applied to Trent and University of Windsor, Trent refused but I got Windsor. So I rushed to apply for visa to beat the May 15th deadline. To cut the story short, God came through for me. Below is my timeline.
First time applicant. Age: 41 School: University of Windsor Course: MSc Actuarial science Submitted: May 12 Biometric request: May 13 Biometric done: May 14 Nse request: May 25th Upfront Medical: updated to pass June 16th
Nothing else, no ghost update, nothing. I ordered my Gcms notes June 29th, I got it July 30th. I saw recommend interview. The wait continued until today.
I had given up hope that i even started my UK processing. I paid deposit in the Uk because at this point, I was tired, mind and body.
BVL and PPR: August 11 ( This day will forever be in my mind).
I want to thank everyone who has supported me in this journey, you all are angels in disguise. May all the PPR hopefuls get their joy soonest.
It has ended in praise. Congratulations.. This is absolutely ecstatic |

Ketima: Is funny how Nairobi office acknowledges email/webform.
Was able to send my renewed passport to both London and Nairobi offices as both are handling my application ( secondary & primary offices respectively) and got below attached reply.
So please what does Nairobi means by their bolded reply It simply means they are working with reduced personnel hence they don't have enough human resource to reply your mail. However they have acknowledge receipt of it. |

STRICK00: THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE EMAILS AND CONGRATULATORY MESAAGES This is my story: I began this journey in 2018. first application(used an agent)- march 2018..denied for insufficient funds, home ties, vague sop.. agent only told me i was denied for insufficient funds
June 2018 ..2nd application-same exact reasons( used same evil agent )
At this point the agent stopped picking my call and didn’t even tell me i was rejected, I had to go and explain at canadian high commission before they helped me out with my application details. It was honestly a depressing time, The mopol at the gate wiped me baton because he said i was trying to enter the high commission forcefully 3rd application- february 2018- Did it myself-denied on home ties, funds, no link between past study and program that i want to go for(i studied accounting and i was going for a masters in project management)
4th and 5th application (did it myself)-june 2019 and may 2020 respectively - denied for (home ties and insufficient funds)
I honestly was tired at this point as i had done everything I knew and even attended countless seminars but no help someone had also introduced me to nairaland but i didn’t trust or believe i could get any help from there I sha started reading this thread but i didn’t sign up because at that point i was just reading for entertainment sake , this was around january .. it was here i learnt of gmcs note and i ordered it with the help of a family friend in canada , that was when i saw all the things visa officers had been saying , there’s one where the vo called my application “unreasonable “(that one na story for another day)
I had even already given up after reading the gcms sha and started considering other options infact i had gotten admission in UK and was in the visa process
so one day, I attended one webinar on canadian study permit application tips because i was bored and then the woman talked about using a certified agent and I remember that my cousin used one for her application and got approved . But i however didn’t consider it because i had already lost hope and i didn’t want to spend any more funds on anything, O just wan dey use my salary dey chop abeg
Anyhow sha a few days after the webinar , I reached out to my cousin to give me the number . after I got it
me and the man spoke lengthily for about 2 hours (it was one of the most soothing and truthful conversations i had ever had), and after the call, I decided to give it one last final shot . So i made the payments for go’s services to this agency account and I submitted all the documents he asked... it was quite a lot of documents and affidavits but i guess it was worth it
I also did ielts again mind you i had done ielts a long time ago but it expired and then i did medical. my 3rd time doing medical oh!
So the application was submitted on april 2nd and he handed over my account to me for monitoring and I got ppr and bvl dropped same time yesterday
Honestly, I just want to tell everyone to keep trying, I remember when i was looking all around lagos for the first unfortunate agent I even got pickpocketed in brt
chai my advice is not to give up na who give up na in Bleep up you have only lost when you give up
if you get denied, just sit back, restrategize and refire..
WE SHALL ALL MEET IN CANADA
ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE SHOW OF LOVE GOD BLESS US ALL
IT SHALL AND WILL END IN PRAISE GOOD MORNING! Congratulations. When did you submit your application? |

Jioke1994: Good day, guys. This has been a wonderful platform. Since I joined, I've been able to learn as much as I can, though I've been a silent reader. Thanks for your informative words, good spirit, kindness...love, etc.
My rejection letter came today. It was based on my home tie, personal and financial status. Pls, gurus, I need your response. @shuppy and others...you are allowed to talk.
Which type of GCMS note should I order? How much? Thanks for your kind gesture! I choose to remain positive and hopeful. Immediately order your notes for IRCC @ gcmsnotes.com also you application needs to looked for analysis i.e your personal profile and you sponsor. Don't give up |

shupy: I'm sorry man. @bolded and on the contrary, it takes some level of courage to let everyone know your application was denied. Application refusal is actually more common than approval. Like I stated sometime ago, nairaland doesn't show the true reality. It is easy to let everyone know you got PPR. I can't say the same for application refusal. You obviously already know you need to order your GCMS note. I'm guessing concerns were raised regarding 3rd party sponsor. Sufficient balance is not the only factor looked at. Demonstrating genuine access to it is also important. Your uncle needs to show some level of commitment by paying your tuition fee even if it is first semester, and/or transfer fund for living expenses to you. You can also consider GIC arrangement (I personally prefer having the fund in a dormiciliary USD account, it just seems more convincing than having it in a naira account). And yes, if you're a salary earner, submit the account even if the balance is low. Print when you're paid sha. Wishing you all the best.
NB: (Even if all this is done, you still need to submit your uncle's statement of account) Well said. It's actually best that people do not feel ashamed to declare refusals. People on the forum will only inspire you to repackage and re-apply. No one will judge because we are all on this ship. Success is sweeter when you have tastes failure. |

Yinkagbo: My visa application was refused yesterday...my question is this if I differ admission to fall or winter , will that require re-application fee? No you wouldn't have to pay another application fee for deferring. Order your GCMS notes before you re-apply so you can tackle any concerns raised by the VO. Don't give up, there a several that have walked this path and it ended in praise for them. |
