Akerekoroabijawara: I'm using sg3, but the issue is after restoring my minimize browser the web pages load again ,it does not save it state before it was minimize. it was not like that on the bold5 I was using before. please is there any thing I can do to correct this

Which browser are you using?
Stock browser and chrome will do that, it's not an issue. Get opera mini or Dolphin browser

But it's slower than Firefox. The advantage is in its ease of navigation. Downloading is at par, they are both Crap.

I just downloaded Firefox again. I think I have seen my default browser. it's actually superfast, and it has got an impressive UI. haven't tried downloading anything with it though, but am impressed.


The stock browser to me is dull jare, I always have this penchant for more than the ordinary, plus you actually have to increase the screen brightness everytime you wanna browse so you can see the contents of the Web pages well.

Well, i didn't notice the animated circle, plus its still in beta and the bugs are enormous.

This is not Opera Mini, neither is it opera mini. Just a new mix of both and more from Opera. Quite the best I've used on my SGS II.

If you want to conserve data, switch on Off Road Mode and reduce image quality, like I'm doing now (I think this mode saves more data than Opera Mini).

If you want to enjoy desktop experience, switch of Off Road Mode and select user agent as Desktop from setting.

If you want a Hidden Session, create a new private tab.

Opera browser beta doesnt show progress bar while loading web pages.
When off road mode is switched off, it is crazilly data intensive.
And the off road mode doesn't work when i switch to WiFi when am in the office.

UCBrowser has a download manager, and it happens to be faster than opera mini. I haven't actually compared its data compression, but why the need to compress data and limit your browsing experience? I would rather go for a browser that is fast and wouldn't limit the experience. Plus UCBrowser is kinda dull. Default browser is a no no for me. I haven't tried firefox, and chrome is alright but it doesnt open some sites and downloading with it is annoying.

There are a number of browsers available for android devices in and out of the play store. There are some peculiarities, similarities and differences amongst them, ranging from its data compression ability, if it comes with an inbuilt download manager, how user friendly it is, ease of navigation, support on various operating systems and ease of transferring bookmarks e.t.c.

I have tried a number of them, and i can't seem to make a decision on which one to stick to. Lets state the browser we are using, and the reason for using it.

Presently, am using UCBrowser. Reason, i saw a review on it and it caught my interest. The only thing i have seen that makes it stand out is its ability to pause and resume downloads.

For the folks who keep wondering whats up with the plugins.

the version 2.1.1 supersport plugin does not work anymore.

the version 2.1.2 one still does.



what you need to do is:

BE VERY SURE YOUR INTERNET IS AT THAT POINT ACTIVE AND WORKING FINE

1. go to settings/addons..... install from a zip file. choose the zip file through the file browser on the right and it will install.

2. best bet is to exit the xbmc application.

3. restart it and wait 30 secs, you should get a small notification that some supersport service bla bla has started

if you don’t get, it MAY not be active. (most of the time it is an issue with the internet)

4. go to the video addons tab, open it. select the supersport plugin.

5 you will see two sections, live streaming and highlights.


Live Streaming has streams that are shown on the normal supersport web package. i.e NOT EVERY AND ANY MATCH. Its a select few. it also has lots of cricket and other sport IF they have streams for it.

meaning that you should probably only check when you are sure there is some live sport that you want to watch on.



Highlights to the best of my knowledge hardly ever works. i guess its the few ones they host on their web page that will show up there.



IT IS NOT TRUE THAT YOU GET TO WATCH REGULAR SUPERSPORT PROGRAMMING WITH THAT PLUGIN LIKE SOME LIARS HERE CLAIM. unless of course that they have another secret plugin



for sports, there are other options. the "sportsdevil" section in the Maxmunstermann addon. has about 6 different streaming sites in it. u get to watch a lot there. its a matter of choosing active links. just keep trying till u get a working one. (they have dead links too)

some Aljazeera show up in the Arabic channels addon.

The Veetle addon also has streams from pple streaming via veetle.

joanana: go to system -settings - internet n enable the internet access to 516kbs or more. if u did n its not connecting; then u need to ask leopantro or 4llebuntu for further instructions

The icon disappears when you don't have an active blackberry subscription. Subscribe first and enjoy. If you had subscribed, and still have that issue, restart the phone. That's all.

Transition to better accounting system caused delay in corps members’ allowance

The attention of the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has been drawn to the controversy and speculation in the media over the delay of the April allowance of corps members.

The Minister has been informed that this delay is not unique to corps members but also affects some civil servants in the employ of the Federal Government.

“It is not deliberate but as a result of the transition to the new and better secured Integrated Payroll Payment System, as part of Government’s commitment to transparency and accountability,” he said.

The Minister has however been assured by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) that by this weekend all administrative issues pertaining to the allowance of corps members would be sorted out and they could look forward to receiving their April and May allowances.

He regrets whatever inconvenience this delay might have caused our loyal and dutiful corps members, and urged them to continue to serve Nigeria selflessly.
