kelvin7891:Read somewhere that the vehicle is a serious fuel guzzler. How true is that. Fuel economy is a factor o!. |
nurey:Thanks. But I am particularly concerned about ball joint issues on a Honda, hope it is not a problem on CUVs? Will do more research on the Santa Fe and Outlander. Thanks again, I appreciate. |
Hi guys, I have done a lot of search and sincerely I am confused. I have been driving a Toyota Corolla 2000 Model for about 4 years now and I feel it is time replace the car with an upgrade. Personally, I would have gone for car with my budget, but my wife had begged and insisted that it must be an SUV o. The search for the SUV is on and I am contemplating between the Nissan Xtrail 2005 Model or the Ford Escape 2003-2005 Model. She does not like the Rav 4(not the 2010-2017 model though ☺) All I am asking for is a good SUV that is a direct toks with good fuel economy, easy to get replacement parts and the mechanical experts are not hard to find. Of course, it should fall within my price range of #2M. Please advice a brother. |
I am new in Benin. I don't know anywhere. The house cleaner is does not know anything. He directed me to GT Foods on Ugbor Road. I move around with Google Maps. And except I know exactly where I am going to. It is just to be driving around. Of course I cannot be sampling food all around town. |
Hi, I am in Benin for the week and I have not had a nice meal all week. Can anyone recommend a nice Shawarma spot for me? |

Hi, Can you install in a 2000 model Toyota corolla? Or you have an alternative that can serve as an add-on. |
Hi sooperrescue, I drive a Toyota Corolla 2000 Model, I bought the car as toks over 2 years ago and i have never changed the transmission fluid. Recently i noticed that the car is not quick to respond when i depress the throttle. the ATF has not changed color and it is still full. My question is should I go ahead to change the ATF? if yes, which one would you recommend that is readily available in the Market. User's Manual recommends DEXTRON III. I don't want to buy just any DEXTRON III in the market. |
Hi all, I purchased my 2000 Model Corolla just over 2 years ago. Apart from the Coolant, Engine Oil and Oil Filter change, I have not changed any other fluid in the car. Most of the Yakubu's advice that i leave the fluids as long as the brake and transmission is not giving issues. I personally don't feel comfortable with how long the fluids have been in the car mostly because i don't know how long it has been there before i bought it. The question is should I change the ATF and Brake Oil? if Yes, where can I get quality OEM oils? |
GAZZUZZ:Lol. It sounds like dis "gree gree greeeee" till it gets to 60 km/hr |
Hi all, I have a 2000 model Toyota corolla, I recently started hearing a scraping sound from the engine bay when I accelerate. The sound comes up only when the speed of the car is below 60km/hr. What could be the cause.? Also, I have never changed the ATF and Brake Oil since I bought the car as Tokunbo and it is almost 3 years now. Should I go ahead and change it? |

Good afternoon. I am looking to change my Toyota Corolla 2000 model for an SUV. I am lost in between the Hyundai Tucson and the Toyota Highlander. I would like good reviews about both cars and if you use any of them, Kindly give the Pros and cons. The Hyundai Santa Fe comes to mind too. Enjoying the corolla, but I want to change it because I have a bigger family and the interior is bland. |

My Candid Advice is based on my personal experience. I live in Iju Ishaga and work in Alausa Ikeja. I earn a little less than 100k and I own a 2000 model Toyota Corolla. To get me to and from work on a daily basis using public transport cost about N400. In a week, that's N2000. I fuel the car with N2000 weekly and it's enough to take me to and from work everyday including the trip to church on Sunday and hanging out with my people sometimes on Saturdays and Sunday. So I save more on transportation. The stress you go through using public transportation is crazy. I resume work by 9 a.m. If am to go by public transport, then I have to leave home as early as 6:30 am, pick a bike to the bus stop or trek and be tired b4 you get there (Access Road is not tarred. Rainy season is mud, dry season is dust. God bless you, you have a presentation that morning and you are dressed up in your best suit and a crazy driver speeds past you in any of the seasons. I leave what could happen to your imagination). Then you struggle to get a bus to Agege with students who don't mind to stain your white shirt and buses that can tear your shirt. You get to Agege and queue for a bus which will take a between 30mins to 1 hour before you get on it. Those who pass through that route or have experienced it will know what I am saying. Finally, you get to work around 8:30, sweaty, feeling tired and not ready for the days work. But when I go out with the car, which is obviously my preferred choice, I leave home between 7:30 am and 8:00 am, get to work b4 9am looking sharp and ready for the day after eating breakfast b4 leaving home which is more savings to my pocket rather than eating out if I have to go via public transport. I could even package the food and take to work in the car, something I can't don't in a public bus. Mind you, i got the car as a direct toks with slightly over 100,000 miles on it over 2 years ago and the highest I have ever spent on it at a time is N13,000 and that is to buy a new battery. Replacement parts costs as low as N1000 sometimes and the car does not break down. I only do routine maintenance. Oil and filter change, brake pads e.t.c. All of which is less than 5k. The long and short of my sermon is, with 100k salary, you can conveniently maintain a car that is within your financial capacity if you know what you are doing. But after getting your priorities right. Like a place of your own and being responsible for yourself. |
Hi guys, please help a brother out. I drive a Toyota Corolla 2000 model. The problem is that the car stalls and shuts off in traffic when the engine is considerably hot. The check engine light is off. If I try to start it immediately, it doesn't come up until I allow it to cool down for about 10 to 15 minutes. It behaves like a car overheating, but I have coolant in it, not water. Please what could be the cause. I asked a mechanic, and he said it's a sensor. Asking him what sensor and where it is, no reasonable answer. |
Hi, In this era of Limited data for Android users, The major culprit in consuming your data are background processes. All those system sync and updates are basically unnecessary, except for your E-mail and maybe WhatsApp and BBM. I believe all other apps should be restricted from using background data. The question here is which Android App can allow you to selectively restrict some apps access to the Internet thereby reducing the volume of data consumed by the Phone. |
Thank you very much. Will look at it immediately. |
Someone please help!!! |
Hello, I own a 2000 model Toyota corolla, about 2 months ago, I started hearing this Screeching Sound from the car when accelerating. With time, it became worse and louder. It sounds like two or more moving metals hitting one another. At times it sounds like it's coming from the exhaust, sometimes from the engine, and it is only when on motion and accelerating that the sound occurs. Please help.... |
