if anyone watched today's match and still expects torres to score 40 goals a season, then

i stopped watching after the 60th minute with sturridge making the wrong decision. one
after the other and after the other. if he was told never to pass to torres, he couldn't
have done a better job with it. he's lethargic, he's got no football intelligence and i hope
he doesn't make the final squad in euro 2012. welbeck is a better player!

I have to agree with you on this one. His work rate yesterday was great, tracking back & stealing the ball a few times. He fluffed his lines a few times but I think I'm getting used to see Torres this way now. But his strike partner is a m000000ron of the highest order.

I'm sure the Chelsea medical staff is working doouble overtime now to get Drogba ready for Tuesday. Mr Torres & Master Sturridge should hold the bench.

A geriatric Drogba is better than Torres + Sturridge (even in Ghazab mode)

He is still a good player with a potential of being a better player with the little flashes he often shows
I don't think he hasn't gotten the support he deserves
The fans have been immense with him often screaming his name even if he wasn't the one that scored the goal I.e when he assists
The club has been patient with him, no pressure whatsoever from the coach & co players. Everyone is encouraging him & commending him for his contributions for the team.
Even the vicious English Media seems to have cut him some slack

He needs goals & he isn't helping himself

He is not in the category as Kalou & Sturridge so why does he need a few "set-in-stone" chances before he converts one.

He is supposed to be the "One Blow, One Die" killer forward

Maybe its Chelsea, Maybe its London, Maybe its Drogba but even with all these factors considered I think he needs to get his head sorted.

I don't even need him to score 3 braces back to back. What we need is him to score that crucial goal that decides a game in its entirety. Like in a 1-0 victory or something.

He never seems to be in the right place @ the right time. Abi how can Fullbacks & CBs be getting more goals than him.

The starting line up was dodgy. Guess he was just trying to balance things out. Mr Merreillis had no business in that game. If he wanted proper bus parking he should have gone with Mikel and Essien. Where is Romeu btw?
Whose bum does he have to kiss to get into the starting 11 again. Lamps is just a conundrum. This isn't the first time he is giving a back pass to the opponent in weeks. He can't defend that well. He wasn't tracking his Man, hence Nasris goal.
Anyways the target is 4th place and we are still going to get that. The oldies should just know that at some point they won't be able to run again and they will be moved on...legend or no legend.
Next season we need to change our play completely as we certainly don't have any direct replacement for any other "legends". But then again it has to be gradual cos I don't think RA is ready to bank roll any Player buying spree hence the sacking of AVB. If he trusted AVB and his methods he would have just waited till end of the season then purge the team of its poison. But then again it's 24 players vs 1 coach. I don't want to sound band-wagonish, but you can't exonorate AVB and say its the tools he's working with.
The guy is just a typical establishment guy:all (mostly rubbish) talk, presentation/power-point, and divide-and -conquer.
His man-management skills since assuming the job have been utterly chaotic/catastrophic.
If you ask me,the present Chelsea side should be challenging for honors.But the side I saw last night played like they wanted the coach sacked.Or is it me that thinks Daniel Sturridge sold himself a dummy in front of goal or Didier Drogba passed when he shoulda shot in front of goal?

My 2cents, when I was getting my 9900 I traded in my curve so that's the way the used phones market get served.

Both platforms are cool, I have a rooted HTC desire running 2.3 with Data2SD and I love it cause of its seemingly endless possibility of tweaking features and settings. My 9900 is running OS 7.0.590 and it's a monster of a device too, battery life improved dramatically when I updated the firmware, I like bbm, I like my mails dropping like that without too much data consumption.

I wonder how one will even enjoy an Android phone in Nigeria with all it's stupendous data rates and data caps.

During my last holiday in Lagos, I spent more money on Data on my HTC than phone calls.

Suicide and suicidality is a very complex issue. Most people think its only brought by Depression secondary to on going psychosocial stressors eg economic distress, relationship break downs etc. but that's only a tiny bit of it.

I don't even know where to start, you have to consider other conditions such as Psychotic illness ( schizophrenia etc) , the Mood disorders (Depression and Bipolar Affective Disorders) , Personality Disorders etc
Some cases are Adjustment disorders, ie something happens and the patient commits or attempts suicide.

You also have to consider Alcohol and Drugs. A lot of suicide attempts are carried out with these substances on board.

Irrespective of your financial status you can be depressed and suicidal.

Talking really helps but most importantly one should seek professional help, that's what your GP or Family Physician is there for. The Psychiatric hospitals in Nigeria are not just there to treat the acutely psychotic patients but also Depression and all.

I don't know about the availability of Psychotherapy in Nigeria but that's one of the evidence based techniques for dealing with some mood disorders. Plus Use of Antidepressants, Mood Stabilizers, sometimes Antipsychotics and in unresponsive cases Shock Therapy (ECT)

There are also loads of self help materials available. I particularly like recommending this book to my patients "Overcoming Depression by Paul Gilbert"
