Please don't stop there, kindly give us the link where you took your bogus statistics
Triciana gal: I don't know where you have been but in most marriages these days the women contribute at least 50 percent financially and in lot of cases even more. So if the husband only earns enough to rent a face me I face you but the wife's salary can get a nice apartment in a good area, they should stay in the face me in face in because she doesn't want him to become a wife undecided. A man's responsibility is not only financial, as long as he gives his all no matter how little he is fulfilling his responsibility. It us only lazy ones that will relax and leave the wife alone to do it that women have a problem with.

Afam4eva: I won't blame you if you call it entrapment. That's the word the proponents of the warped equality in marriage have been using. Our mothers never complained about their roles and were doing it willingly, so who are you to tell them that they were entrapped? Did they tell you they want to be financially independent. Are you aware that when you marry a man, both of you become ONE and everything he owns becomes yours and vice-versa. So, why would anyone say a woman is entrapped in marriage because she does not make her own money. You people should fear God oo.

Chatters: Chinelo, which culture? Pls speak for yourself. I assume you are igbo. No igbo culture dictates that. Wake up from your slumber and stop being myopic. So you are telling me you are a slave to your hubby just because he married you? I pity such mentality. Its women like you that makes men treat them like trash!!
women like you end up in coffins

De Beauvoir: Is that what the Iman preached in the mosque yesterday? smiley

Anyway I don't agree with your biased and sexist opinion. Women are equally as intelligent as men so there is no reason why they should throw away their decision making abilities and start "submitting" to another person and letting that person decide how they live their lives.

Marriage should be about understanding and agreement and couples should discuss anything they want to implement in their marriage instead of following ridiculous laws about how the women must always submit to what the man says.
You should embrace Islam, it is clear that you are not a virtuous woman, I pity your future husband.
The submission of women to their husbands is not something we negotiate or you should challenge, all religions and cultures agree on that.

Don't mind the feminazi
Afam4eva: Why must she marry a poor decision maker, sadist or sociopath. I can't phantom how a woman will see all these negative qualities in a man and still go ahead to marry him and go about complaining later in marriage and complaining why a man should be the head. It's incumbent for a man to be the head because popular culture dictates so. That does not mean it's cast in stone. Anybody can be the head and anybody can submit imo but both parties have to agree. Marriage is about agreement. You don't go marrying in a church where you took an oath to submit to your husband and not later have a problem with doing what you swore to do. if you can't submit then don't swear by that oath or don't marry at all. Marriage is not by force.

enigmatique: My dear bros, I totally support ur line of thinking, but d problem I just av wit u is d usage of d word "roles". My broda make we talk true, roles change. But let us look deeper into "purpose" e.g why does the female av a womb while d male doesn't? Of course d answer will be "Because she is meant to bear/carry the children". Roles change e.g don't women av careers today? Think about it.
women have always had careers. Stop misleading people
Anyway why don't they have d1cks?

chineloSA: In some marriages there is equality, hence I said men should not be deprived of that last right left of them. smiley smiley smiley Men are not our wives, undecided undecided They are our husbands and should be given that opportunity to be husbands. sad
there's no equality in anything, we only seek for equity, if we weren't meant to be equal, Allah would have made us the same
Family › Re: Banned From Speaking My Language To My Baby by Mujah1deen: 11:30pm On Nov 09, 2013
De Beauvoir: Of course you won't see anything wrong with the idea that women are supposed to be subservient to men because you are male and the misogynistic laws of your bible favour you. Why is it always incumbent on women to submit to men?
What if she's married to a poor decision maker? Or a sadist? Or sociopath?
She should always submit to him because the ancient jews that invented your religion said so abi?
Allah knows best.
You must b submissive for peace to reign in the household

De Beauvoir: Wonders shall never end. In the minds of Nigerian men, wife=slave.

After suffering through pregnancy, giving birth and then spending her entire life taking care of the child, the man still decides every single decision they take concerning the child because one fabricated book said that women should be submissive and men must always be the head regardless of whether they have leadership skills or not.

Women have really suffered.
Can you a child without his sperm? huh

nora544: a husband should love his wife not beat her.

I know some man when they have problems with there work and they go home they put all what they want to say to there boss, so when a man want to beat his boss he will beat his wife when she say something what he didnot like and if it is only that he has to wait for the dinner 5 minutes more.
you are throwing conjectures that don't make any sense.
Why does he have to wait? What are you doing? Must he wait before you serving him?
Family › Re: Why Is Divorce Not An Option For Most Nigerian Women? by Mujah1deen: 7:30pm On Nov 09, 2013
chineloSA: I don't want a perfect man neither. If your religion say that woman should be beaten and endure, I choose Satan. Aaaaaaah aaaah. Maybe Satan is better. shocked shocked

So a woman should appreciate that she is being abused, demeaned for the community to see??
I asked you should a man stay if he is being abusedhuh
Allah knows best.
Family › Re: Why Is Divorce Not An Option For Most Nigerian Women? by Mujah1deen: 7:16pm On Nov 09, 2013
chineloSA: I want to beat you because you deserve that. How can you say that, Did God send anyone to beat the wife and hence, the wife should stay. Leave God out of this, abeg.

What if its a man who is being physicallly abused. Should he stay?? sad sad
Allah didn't send him to beat you lol, he sent with his good and bad sides. No one is perfect.
You should Learn to appreciate your husband the way he is.

you write that a woman has no right for a divorse but you have it and you can divorse her very fast only with 3 words
so what's wrong with trying to walk on the path of Allah.

As for the rest of your write up : Allah knows best. embrace Islam and you will understand a lot of things.
