Good thinking PaulAdeka: I am not a fulani guy, but why is it that any bad thing that happen in Benue state now is tagged "Fulani"? Did the criminals introduce themselves as "fulani herdsmen"!
Anybody now (criminals) can commit crime in the name of herdsmen, especially considering the state of our troubled nation, and the people involved.
I live in Benue, but. Whenever i am online, Benue state seems to be a strange place to me!
The place is not perfect but it is also not as bad as people (in the internet) make it look. |

Fulaman198: Correct, Fulani names are really the same everywhere. It's mainly the dialects that differ ever so slightly. about hausa, some old hausa men and women in sokoto still speak fulfulde language, and if you ask them they will tell you, they lived with fulani and other would tell you at that time fulfulde is widely speaking but now hausa has overtake. |

Fulaman198: Fulanis of other parts of West Africa use native Fulani names like Jalloh/Diallo which are the same, Ba/Bah, Sow, Balde, Ka/Kah, etc. In Adamawa, there are Fulani that use native Fulani names like Gelajo, Gajo, Nyako, etc. Though in other parts of Nigeria Islamised names are more common than their respective Fulani names. That is everywhere outside of Adamawa. Nigerian Fulanis are also more religiously strict except for the Mbororo'en. we have the same name in sokoto, like;buba, jabbe, amo, ige, jauro, manu, but i think we are same in culture. |
Culture › Re: A Lesson To Fulani On NL, Never Forget Whom You Are by mujaya1(m): 8:05am On Jun 22, 2016 |
Fulaman198: Whilst some of what you say is true, not everyone has the stereotypical Fulani nose (look at Ahmadu Ahidjo for instance). Now, I do understand what you mean don't get me wrong and for the most part you are right. I'm not sure if people "love us" so to say. In other African countries they may not sure about Nigeria based on what I have seen on NL forums. so what is the different between fulani of nigeria and other african country, and their name is different from our name, like Bah, sore, jalloh |

Fulaman198: Adamawaare is the name of the Fulani dialect in Adamawa, NG. Adamawa extends into Adamaoua of Cameroon and to the Fulani of both Nigeria and Cameroon, we consider ourselves the same.
We speak the same Fulani dialect as do the Fulanis in Eastern Niger Republic, Northern Cameroon, Chad, Central Afr. Republic and Sudan.
I have never come across an Igbo that speaks Fulfulde. I have however come across an Igbo that speaks Hausa. so fulani of adamawa are the mejority or minority in state. |

Fulaman198: Sokoto, Kebbi and Kano not really. It is mainly Adamawa, Taraba and Gombe. Sokoto has a much higher Hausa Threshold. the problem here in sokoto is most hausa people marry fulani women, and the population is reducing but here in sokoto most fulani parent they don,t speak fulani language to their children because they don,t want there children to hear the scret they were talking. |

bigfrancis21: I've heard of the preference of Nigerian Fulanis to speak Hausa instead of Fulani. Which states in Nigeria are predominantly Fulani speaking or have Fulani-speaking people?
Also, what percentage of all Fulanis in Nigeria speak Fulani? gombe, adamawa, kebbi and sokoto, also kano remember governor of kano now is fulani and he speak fulani, i think even sanusi lamidu sanusi is fluent in fulani. |

thesicilian: These Muslims are the most hypothetical set of people on earth. Everyday they throw jabs at Christians, Christianity and even Jesus Christ himself, but when you even mention Muhammad in a sentence, they go into a murderous, terrorist rage.
Did hell break loose when the current governor of Kaduna, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, said years back that "even Jesus Christ could not rule Nigeria"? jesus is muslim not god, we muslim love jesus, abraham, joseph, david, moses, junah and all prophet of god, rembember we muslim believe jesus will comeback and deal with people that called him god or son of god, their is no god but allah, allah is one. |
