Apart from ABU, I've never seen a university in Nigeria that houses students from all states of the federation, some parts of Africa and the world. Their admission is mainly on merit.

The admitted MBBS kaduna guy I saw actually had 299 average, the rest from other states had 320+ aggregate

A friend currently in 300 lvl, civil, lost by 1 mark, the following year, he beat the nearest guy by 1 mark also. Now, if you're going to be given another course? I don't know about that. I don't know criteria behind that

Also, when it comes to catchment state, they use Educationally Less Developed states ish.

Someone from a very local lga has a higher chance of getting than you. Example.

I scored 212, I applied from Kwara State, Offa LGA, I got deflected to Agric Engineering...
He scored 180 something, can't remember, applied from Kwara, Kaiama LGA, he got it.

People from his locality aren't so much educated, compared to those from mine, so, the little ones who want to study are always given the chance to, in hope they can develop their places. I hope you get me?

Pls sir, how exactly does abu go abt her admission, I knw they use catchment bt how sure is their merit? We've seen a lot of scenario on facebook whereby an aspirant hav a certain average(high/low) nd he's been told by stalite that it's nt by high average, it's by CONNECTION which is d paramount and major criteria for gaining admission in Abu..... So sir, is it that our average doesn't count at all? we hav to seek internal help before being admitted?

Aspirants aren't around. Most of my mates are done, those you mentioned are in finals, believe me, it isn't easy turning up here like we used to do back then, but I reiterate, if anyone asks question, it will surely be answered

Jamb score + p.utme score divided by 2(average of ur jamb and p.utme score) e.g ur jamb score is 300 nd ur p.utme score is 200.. aggregate =300+200/2 =250
