That's likely PMS(Post Menstrual Syndrome). I'm not sure, but I think the cause is the high level of progesterone against the low level of estrogen immediately after the period.

pls wat can I do or take to ease d pain? And it won't stop me from conceiving?

@Nazablossom in addition to pilotchic post, you can replace the honey with unsulphured organic/blackstrap mollases(2 tablesp BSM,3acv disolve in warm water). Take first thing in the morning before food and last thing at night.

Yes you can. Most fibroids do not disrupt pregnancy. In fact, fibroids might actually shrink during pregnancy, since pregnancy also relies on rich supply of progesterone and estrogen for sustenance, depriving the fibroids of these hormones.

Your concern now should be how to conceive.

The size of the fibroids is quite large, but the location doesn't seem like it would affect conception. Submucosal and intramural fibroids tends to affect the chances of conceiving because the give the endometrium a distorted outline and disrupt implantation

You can opt for myomectomy in removing the multiple fibroids, though their position do not necessarily impede TTC.

Some medications like oral contraceptives can actually shrink the size of fibroids, since these benign growths are estrogen and progesterone dependent.

Marc pls I did a recent scan and result shows a bulky and non gravid uterus in an anterverted position with heterogeneous myometrial echotexture due to multiple fibroid masses measuring 1:74mm x 52mm is pedunculated
2:64mm x 50mm in anterior lower uterine
3-5: 53mm x 38mm,18mm x 30mm,and 31mm x 42mm in posterior region.
Endometrium is distorted in outline, Adnexae nothing remarkable, Cul-de-sac free. Impression : multiple uterine fibroids.
Pls can u explain wat dis means? Since I'm ttc what do u advice? Can I get pregnant and carry to term with it or I should go for a surgery?

You may do another hormone profiling to give affirmation to the one done before and,if you don't mind a TFT may be inclusive.TTC is not only the females warriness,the male is also much to be involve.Just as Marc once advised-your husband should do a seminal routine and/or a hormone profiling for all his androgenic hormones.You write up the result for us to analyse ourselves.For the now,be relax enjoy the newyear blessings and believe you have already have your pregnancy!

Was an hormonal profiling done for which anovulation is implicated?
Since you have the uterine fibroid,i find the use of clomiphene citrate non-essential.This is because,there has been a chance that clomid can cause an increase in mass of the uterine myomas.Though,it has been helpful in taming or reversing some degrees of anovulation,some cares as to ensure that the fibroid go no further up should be necessitated.

An hormonal profiling was done and I'm still ovulating.

Please allow me to correct an impression here.Firstly,it is only ideal that the hormones in our system can be balanced.Our hormones are constantly changing although within a range of no fatality.Inadditon to this,it will also be an ideal or an overt illusion that a particular drug or medication balanced the hormones in whole.However,medication can be taken to reverse a pathological implicative condition of a high or low hormone in the serum or plasma.

Seminal analysis deals with ascertaining the number of sperm cells in his ejaculatiion, the quality of his se.men, and the sperm morphology.

Men are equally involved in TTC just as women are. It's a 50-50 share. Has your husband been checked ok? Has he run a seminal analysis to show he has no fertility problem?

no he hasn't ran a seminal analysis, we only ran test for infections which showed dat we had no infections. Pls how is d Seminal analysis done?

Depending the location and the size of the fibroids, it may or may not affect your chances of conceiving. So I'll believe the gynae made his recommendation in line with the scan report( you gave him the report right?)

Well, other factors that could affect conception must be ascertained as well. Your hormone balance is very important in TTC.

I'd advise you go back to the gynae. I'm sure he'll indicate you run hormonal profiling.

Gud monin Dr, I've been diagnosed of uterine fibroids though my gynae said it won't stop me from having kids. He prescribed clomid for me which I took for two months but it didn't work, pls wat else can I do to get pregnant?

I'm so happy I bumped into dis column, I've been trying to concieve after I had a missed abortion a year ago. I've been diagnosed with uterine fibroids but my gynae said it can't stop me from having children. Right now I'm considering taking maca supplements don't know how effect it works, pls I need assistance on wat to do. Tanx all
