Mammogram that even private hospitals have is what a whole state government is commissioning with pride. Why are we like this in Nigeria. I was hoping to see a lot of the machines and not just one. Echo lab and other labs and scans center have these machines na.
Nigeria is a country where transistor radios and pako bridges are commissioned. And the money that goes into the commissioning proper is even more than the project. Mcheww |

The light situation in festac is so terrible 😔. For all the years I go to Lagos that I stay in Festac, 1st avenue especially light na wahala o. Just came back again last week. We could go for 2 weeks without light. The roads are very bad. No drainages. Usually flooded when it rains. Festac has indeed lost its initial glory. The sound of generator from almost every house in festac can deafen someone. I grew up in festac extension mile 2 estate. Even that area sef dey get light pass festac. |
Politics › Re: Atiku: How I Saved Tinubu’s Political Career by Mummyfour(f): 5:10am On Jun 10, 2024 |
Eriokanmi: You can say that again. My love for Nigeria is indescribable but I'm sad with what I'm seeing today. The majority of those tribalists here on NL have not done half of what I had done for my people in donations through my partners in Lagos alone. I don't have to mention one. Unfortunately, this generation of youths are so glued to sentiments which always inform their weird decisions 99% of the time, which would later haunt them in life. Presently I'm in America for another batch of donations to the less privileged in the society, especially in Lagos where I belong. There's one of our partners who is into sports, grooming young Nigerians across tribal lines on how they'd find their place at the global stage , through scholarships and all.
But I chose not to support this man called Tinubu for a lot of reasons. Those living here, who used to be his supporters are so disappointed right now but I told them last year during my visit that it's not enough to rely on propaganda. They need to come and see things themselves at home. Had either fashola, ambode or even osinbajo contested, I'd have supported him with my might and main. The moment I realised this man wanted to get there both by hook and crook, I decided to back off and then I suddenly became an omo ale to the tribal bigots who share in his fake ideology...Tinubu knows the number of his children, wondering how I can be an omo ale by not supporting him. Democracy is a choice but not in Nigeria.
Yoruba would say, ęję ka tibi ishana kiye soogun(which literally means, we should observe the efficacy of a charm by just imagining how the matches ignite, when you strike it) . You said you're Mr magic who built Lagos yet you lost in same Lagos. The 2023 election ought to have been a means of reciprocating your kind gesture in Lagos if you truly deserved our votes. Instead, you started intimidating people with your thugs cos they didnt vote you. Some myopic minds said he lost in lagos cos of the Muslim Muslim ticket however, in alimosho, the largest local government in Nigeria by population and where yorubas constitute over 95% of the population whom are both Muslims and Christian massively voted a non-lagosian was a proof he's not what he's claiming to be..
When they realised that the muslim-muslim ticket they claimed didn't hold water, they now said its ibo votes that made him lose lagos. It's ibo votes but yorubas won the LP seats in Lagos where ibos live...imagine how myopic they are in thinking. 2023 is just a tip of the iceberg. I pray we all witness 2027 in peace. I reserve my comment on Northern votes for the apc. God bless you my brother for this your detribalised and concise truth. I like being friends with people like you. Detribalised Nigerians are really hard to find especially on nairaland talk more of the larger Nigeria as a country. Carry me along na, let's work together for the common good of our compatriots. May God bless your efforts and replenish you abundantly for all you have done so far and still trying to do |
Christianity Etc › Why Do We Have Less Women Tying Covering Their Hair To Church Nowadays by Mummyfour(op): 1:01pm On Jun 09, 2024 |
I have observed that women no longer cover their hair as propounded in the bible that women should tie or cover their hair when in church or ministering the word of God. Like me, I feel so uncomfortable going to church without covering my hair irrespective of the denomination I attend. From when I was a little girl, I had always tied my hair to church and even till date. A lot of women will say that the wig they wear or the hair itself is a covering to the head. But my opinion is that I must cover my hair to church. What do you all think? |

Peter Obi acceptance by the Igbos is not because he is their kinsmen but a major outcry by Nigerians to try someone else. Tinubu govt is an extension of Buhari failure he imposed on Nigerians. this is the comment I was waiting for. It wasn't about tribe, it was about competence. The igbos I know would have voted for even osinbajo massively. An Igbo man just needs anyone that would better his life and his business irrespective of tribe and religion. The igbos voted Abiola, Obasanjo and even yar Adua. We as a people should have voted someone else, and not someone that promised to continue where collosal failure stopped. Now the 30K minimum wage can’t even pay Transport fare to and from work .
Then how do you expect workers to pay school fees, house rent or even buy a bag of rice which is 85,000.
Threatening NLC with Imprisonment will only Stir already troubled waters
With the current inflation rate , Anything short of 300K monthly As minimum wage should not be affected by labor.
They claim the country is broke but Ministers are been giving 150M Naira worth of bullet proof cars and money been sent in form of prayers to their accounts according to the Stupid senate President Akpabio or AKpamu.
This strike will Usher in the much needed Revolution. Abacha military junta is far better than both Buhari and Tinubus Apc rule since 2015.
Even Apc urchins on Nairaland have gone mute 🤐. You will always look stupid for supporting or defending this idiots in Government don't mind the stupid miscreants. You won't see them here, but just mention obi and you will see them running out like headless chickens. Just within 1 year of this man grabbing and snatching power and running with it, see where we are. God will punish everyone that supports and still supports this government because Tinubu is a Yoruba man. I am not tribalistic and would have voted for osinbajo or a more competent Yoruba man.
