zinfly:
hello dear ladies,
I am so pleased I came across this thread on nairaland and though I have been a silent follower i think it's time i came out and make my presence felt. A brief background, I have been trying for Three years, mild pCos and possibly blocked tubes as I had a PID in the past. I and my hubby have decided to go for IVF this year and I know it will be a success by Gods grace.
We plan to do it in September in the UK. I will like to know what preparations I should undertake prior to the procedure eg meds, questions to ask my RE, I also plan to lose some weight and get my BMI down.
I look forward to going through this process with everyone.
Hello, I wish you all the best. You said you possibly have blocked tubes. Have you done an hsg?
It is good to know the state of your tubes because things like hydrosalpinx can affect the success of the procedure.
Take care.

In my early morning Mr Sure-P induced rant I forgot to do the needful.

Congrats to Abibby on her triplets. May God give you the grace to nurture them. They will always be a source of pride to you in Jesus name.

May God grant all waiting mothers similar "work" in Jesus name. Including me oo. I still want to be a momof4. smiley

Suremanpatriot is either delusional, paranoid or out to hoodwink us of our hard-earned cash.
He keeps crying wolf where there is none and giving wrong esoteric advice.
Ignoring him and his partners-in-crime is actually the best way to treat them but the guy is persistent, like a fungal infection.
My sisters and few honest brothers on this thread, please disregard every advice he gives. Shine your eyes well well. shocked
Take care and have a fruitful weekend.

Moma2,
Thanks. I did d one earlier this year at Nordica. It appears they r not as good as they used to be. Embryo transfer was done by a different doctor from the ones l was used to. I even wondered if she was a specialist. After d failure I visited this thread to do some research b4 starting again. Someone even mentioned that Nordica wasn't as good again ( wish I saw dat earlier sad.).
This successful one was done at Nisa Premier Abuja. The person in charge is a renowned Indian woman who knows her onions. The only snag is that they're very expensive. Before deciding on Nisa, I had wanted to go to Dr Shuaibu of FertilAid or Dr Emeka of Olive both highly recommended on this thread before stumbling on a woman who had triplets from Nisa.
Where you do it is important. During this treatment I took my annual leave to take things easy. Was taking Pregnacare conception, drank at least 2 litres of water everyday. Read Supernatural Childbirth. Prayed well well.
It is not easy taking the decision to start again. Commit it into God's hands. Choose the centre wisely & take things easy. Take care.
moma2:
@ mumof4 ,congrats.could you please share some. Of your experiences I.e the things you did differently in the second IVF etc. I had IVF in may and it was a BFN have not been able to gather myself since then.moreso am confused whether to go to another hospital for a 2nd IVF.

LadyG.
God is your strength. It is good that you have planned another treatment already. Wallowing in self-pity is what devil wants but not happening. I had a BFN earlier in the year too after a lot of expectations. Cried briefly then wiped my tears and forged ahead for another treatment before getting the BFP last month.
You will also testify in Jesus name. Amen.
LadyGuinivere:
Ok o! After a longgggg self imposed exile! I'm back. It was a BFN and though I was prepared (or so I thought) for any eventuality it hurt! I couldn't believe d pain and I just wasn't ready to share d ill news.
In between my BFN and now I have made arrangements to go to Dogus in North Cyprus in December.
Thanks Lauracares. Thanks @itissettled for giving me d liver to return. Thanks @momof4 and all the other lovely mommies that prayed for me and helped send the ebook.
Welcome to all d new mommies

Hello.
You will need something like intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)+ Ivf. I can recommend Nisa Premier Abuja confidently based on my own experience. Their success rate is excellent. Most people l know that went there, me inclusive, got BFP at d 1st Cycle.
Other ladies can share their experience and you compare notes.
Take care

Ladybb: Hello Ladies,

I'm new here.
Congrats to all new mums in the house, God's strength and grace to those on the 9months journey,
and God's mercies and favour upon those of us TTC.
I would be 35yrs old in a couple of weeks. My hubby is over 40 and we've been TTC for over a year since we both married late.
My HSG results shows double tubal blockage and DH's SA shows low sperm count <2m.
I need referrals here from those who are over 35 with success stories of IVF in one cycle.
Since our conditions have been early detected, and we aren't going any younger, we need to act fast.

I want the e-book SCB. Kindly send to bimby2006@yahoo.com

LadyGuinivere, it is settled!
Pls stay away from pineapple for now. There is anecdotal evidence dat it causes uterine contraction. We want d womb to be relaxed not contracting. I noticed heavy periods when I eat it.
Nine months from now you can eat all the pineapple you want! wink

Satan has attempted. My FET is tuesday and malaria has knocked me down.
Anointing has broken the yoke of rubbish sickness o!
LadyGuinivere, the devil is just doing some gra gra which is futile & in vain. You are God's beloved daughter & nothing can touch you. Just keep affirming your faith. Take your drugs, continue taking plenty if water. Visualize carrying those beautiful babies in your arms and be in thanksgiving mode.
On d day if my transfer l googled images of black triplet babies and spent a long time gazing at them. kiss

Wonyi, sorry I've been incommunicado. Nisa Premier is expensive but with one of the best success rates in the country. Registration is 5k, investigations 150k. The main ivf is between 1.5 to 1.8million depending on d peculiarities of the patient.

I wasn't on any special diet o. Stayed away from caffeine, alcohol (of course). I was on Pregnacare Conception b4 I started. I have come to realize dat d most important part if d treatment ( after God of course), is d skill of d Dr doing d embryo transfer) mine was an Indian) and d quality of d embryos or blastocyst ( mine were grade 2).
The rest after d transfer was also impt. I stayed back in a hotel.Drank at least 2litres of water everyday and religiously taking my Cyclogest, Progynova, Gestone injection & d supplements.
Reminding God everyday that there is no record anywhere whr He lied & therefore my case won't be different concerning bearing fruit.
Reading d e-book too.

God is faithful. His word doesn't return to Him void.
Thanks everyone for your warm wishes!
@LadyGuinivere, they were embryo stage not blastocyst. 3 were transferred. I started annual leave a day b4 transfer. Really took things easy. Spent a week resting in a hotel at Abuja (did d treatment at Nisa Premier). I live in Delta state.

Hello everyone.
I'm reading "Supernatural Childbirth" by Jackie Mize, an e-copy kindly sent to me by LadyGuinivere ( thanks a bunch!). Also "When God Speaks" by Brother Gbile Akanni ( the hard copy lent to me by my ever-supportive sister, God bless her!).
These two books and my bible are sustaining me in my 2WW.
God's word concerning we expectant mommies in Gen 1:28, Deut 28:4,11, Mal3:11 and many other verses, will not return to Him void but shall prosper in the thing which He sent it, Isa 55:11.
Have a great day!
