Yes, Ghana's 100 times better than naija. there is plenty food in Ghana. There is 24 -hour electricity. People can sleep with their two eyes closed at night. Inflation is at 7% in Ghana today, even with coronavirus if they want to go back to Nigeria they should say so and stop sounding as if people are suffering in Ghana, more than naija. Ghanaians are enjoying free water and half the cost of electricity. The Ghana Govt no try? seunmsg: 71 Likes 1 Share |

Na wao. I don’t understand these nigerians. This coronavirus thing is a global health crisis. Every country is in lockdown. So why are these Nigerians living in Ghana sounding like they are hungry in Ghana because nobody is taking care of them? I am a Ghanaian. I live in Accra with my family. I have not received a dime or any help from the Ghanaian government because I don’t need it. As they say, all fingers are not the same. So I understand that some people will feel the heat, but I find it embarrassing that a group of Nigerians living in Ghana are crying that they are hungry. Were they not working before? Didn’t they save money for emergencies like this? Why is it that Ghanaians are not crying about hunger in Ghana like Nigerians living in Ghana? There is food, plenty food, in Ghana today. Those crying hunger are those who don’t have money. It is as simple as that. The Ghanaian Government is trying to help people in need, but I didn’t expect this group of Nigerians in Ghana to come out they way they have come out. It is not good for the image of Nigeria in Ghana. The government of Ghana is trying in this coronavirus era. afroniger: 76 Likes 3 Shares |

No, I don’t catch your “joke.” And why is it soo hard to provide one tangible evidence to link the Ga people with Yoruba? TAO12: |

The Ga Mantse said: “History has it......” Which history? By the way, I speak the Ga language and I am very familiar with the history of the Ga people. Yes, people say stuff, but where is the hard evidence? Where is the historical evidence? Can you name one, apart from what the Ga Mantse said? . TAO12: |
Culture / Re: Benin Kingdom In Edo State Remained Part Of The Expansive Yoruba - Ooni Of Ife by MumuCountry: 5:47pm On Apr 16, 2020 |
There was nothing conclusive in that statement. “History has it.........” First, there is absolutely nothing that links Ga people in Accra with Yoruba. Their language is entirely different, foods are different, even their names are nowhere close to Yoruba names. Ga music is even different from Yoruba music, very different. Can you name one thing that The Ga people in Ghana have in common with Yoruba people? TAO12: |

There is a large Yoruba community, from Nigeria, living in Ghana. They trace their existence in Ghana to more than 100 years, when they first arrived in Ghana. These are Nigerians, not Ghanaians. These were the ones the Ooni may have given titles to. AreaFada2: 1 Like |

COVID-19: Local production of PPE begins in Ghana by Ernest Arhinful Some local production companies have commenced the production of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in Ghana. Minister of Trade, Alan Kyerematen, paid a working visit to some four Ghanaian garment manufacturing companies in Accra on Saturday, April 11, 2020. The government selected these companies to produce personal protective kits for the frontline health workers leading the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. The companies are Dignity DTRT, Sleek Garments, Cadling Fashions, and Alfie Designs Limited. They are to produce among other things, face masks, medical scrubs, hospital gowns and headgears using fabrics from ATL, Volta Star Textiles and GTP. Mr. Kyerematen who was accompanied by a team from both Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Health encouraged both management and workers of the companies to adhere to the World Health Organisation’s preventive protocols and expressed the gratitude of the government to them for supporting the fight against this global pandemic. Government to take delivery of 3.6m locally produced masks Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu indicated last week that the government has selected some companies to locally produce some personal protective kits as announced by the President. The companies are to produce a total of 3.6 million masks which will be distributed across the country. Speaking at a press briefing on April 7, 2020, on COVID-19, the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu said they are expecting to receive all the masks within a week. “The President is making all efforts to resource the Ministry to ensure that we have adequate numbers of protective equipment. In his speech, he talked about taking the opportunity of the crisis to build local capacities to do some of these things at home. As I speak, the Minister of Trade has selected five [local firms] to sew 3.6 million nose masks. They will start delivery from tomorrow. We will take delivery of 150,000 each day and within the next seven days or so, the whole country will be flooded with these masks, especially for health workers.” 3 Likes 2 Shares

What do you mean by “ordinary” Nana Akufo Addo? That man is old enough to be your father, perhaps grandfather. Secondly, he is a well respected lawyer. Thirdly, he is the President of a very important country called GHANA! Under his watch, the Ghanaian economy is growing rapaciously, at more than 6%, before coronavirus. Nigerians talk anyhow, and that is why your country is sinking like Titanic. But why do nigerians delight in talking crass crap? Can anyone tell me? Unrated900: |

You still don’t get it, right? Go the beginning of this thread. Is it an offense that Ghana is testing more people than nigeria? How is it Ghana’s business that Nigeria is not testing more people. Go the beginning of this thread. Out of nowhere, some illiterate posted that Nigeria’s annual budget is enough to “buy” Ghana. That is a very stvpidly foolish thing to say. Nigeria’s 2020 budget is $28 billion, for a population of 201 million. Ghana’s budget is $16 billion, for a population of 27 million. Between Ghana and Nigeria, which country is better placed to buy the other? codemaniacs: 1 Like 1 Share |

You obviously missed the point. Some of your fellow nigerians have made very derogatory comments about Ghana since it was posted that Ghana has done far more testing than nigeria. It is as if Ghaba has committed a crime by testing more people for coronavirus than nigeria. Clearly, most of those stvpid comments were made in ignorance. My comment on your post was to direct your fellow Nigerians to the fact that the comments you made in your post was factual. Direct your comment on not making this whole thing about coronavirus a Ghana v nigeria debate to your fellow nigerians. Ghana is taking steps to protect its citizens. Why should any sane person see it a challenge or even “an affront” to Nigeria? I don’t know what you mean by you are “impressed” with the recovery rate in a Ghana. How many people have died from coronavirus in Ghana so far? babytoun: 1 Like |

Congratulations. You spoke sense. What you wrote is 100% true. Most of the comments on nairaland, particularly as it relates to Ghana and the coronavirus is at best absurd, at worst very provocative and stvpid. Why should a nigerian attack Ghana and Ghanaians simply because Ghana has tested more people? Why should Ghana be blamed for nigeria not testing more people? babytoun: 1 Like |
