Hello Nairalanders,

Please I need your help urgently.

I have used my Facebook account for 15 years, and it is linked to my Instagram. I have never violated Facebook’s terms of use.
Few days ago, I came across an item on Instagram and simply sent the vendor a “hi” message. Immediately, I received a notification that my accounts had been suspended, with 180 days to appeal.
Both Facebook and instagram.

I thought it was a mistake. I went through the appeal process and uploaded my international passport. A few hours later, I got an email saying my ID didn’t match the account information. I then remembered that when I opened the account long ago, I had used a voter’s card with an inflated date of birth.

Soon after, I received another email saying my review was unsuccessful and my accounts have been permanently disabled. I cannot request another review.

I am devastated. My Facebook account is very important to me. it contains years of personal memories, professional connections, and more.
I can’t bear losing my Facebook account!!

Please, has anyone here ever successfully recovered a permanently disabled account?

Are there any Meta support contacts or methods that actually work in such situations? I mean actual humans I could talk to. How do I contact them? I can’t access the appeal process again

Any guidance, experiences, or help would mean a lot to me.
This is extremely important 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hi Barrister, I mentioned you earlier on but surprisingly, my comment vanished. Please I need access to the group platform for lawyers. I am new in Lagos and could make use of such group. Thanking you in advance and I am much oblige

EducationRe: Court Of Appeal Upholds Hijab Ban In University Of Ibadan International School by Musty112:
Lexicon123:
The hypocrisy around this whole hijab thing is nauseating honestly. I wish the North fights illiteracy, poverty, uncontrolled birth rates and extremism like they do with matters like this.

Have lived in the North for a very long time and served there - hijab doesn’t stop promiscuity. I have also lived in majority moslem country like Malaysia; the hijab worn here are rather beautiful and no extremism attached to that. Parents (including expats) take their wards to schools that align with their beliefs.

If you attended Catholic schools, you’ll need to join in the many prayers sessions and so on because that’s what they are - Catholic schools. As a Catholic, I enrolled in program organized by a Pentecostal church - I attended the monthly church services required as part of the curriculum otherwise I wouldn’t graduate. So it’s not difficult - simply take your wards to schools that align with your beliefs. If a Christian decides to take his/her child to an Islamic school, then the child has to be ready to wear the uniform including hijab.

I read comments like: “it’s their choice…”. The truth is that it’s rather the choice of their parents and others behind them, not their choice. A lot of them ‘envy’ the ‘freedom and fresh air’ enjoyed by their peers who don’t wear this extra garment, but there are unimaginable consequences if they try otherwise.

Good judgement!
Afi hypocrisy nitooto
Firstly, the you restricted the identity of being a Muslim to the North maybe to reassure yourself that no one of your tribe or your geography falls within your bias. The school in question is in the southwest, in the campus of University of Ibadan therefore your "wish that the "NORTH" fights illiteracy, poverty, uncontrolled birth rates and extremism like they do with matters like this" does not follow. Those fighting for the constitutionally guaranteed rights are south western Muslims. Besides, indidual regions and Nigeria as a whole have attendants problems and fighting for a right does not incapacitate the region from attending to its problems.

Secondly, your claim that hijab does not stop promiscuity does cannot hold water because in the first instance, the claim is a sweeping generalization and it is just like arguing that every woman who does not cover her head is promoting promiscuity! Imagine how stupid that sounds. The hijab Muslims wear is not to impress you to have a particular notion about them. It is about their Lord and believes.

Further, you are not the only one to have lived in Malaysia. How does the hijab worn by children to school in Nigeria attach to extremism in a way that same worn to school by children in Malaysia does not? How is the hijab worn in Malaysia beautiful than the one in Nigeria? There are two problems here. One, your subservient mentality where you feel people of other skin color are above you and therefore you can (must) easily water down your hatred in a way that whatever they do easily appears beautiful to you. Parents as you takes their wards to public schools in Malaysia where children of differing background and faiths meet without anyone complaining of the choice of hijab! I bet you will even send your children to such school in Malaysia without battling an eyelid!

If you are attending a faith based school or private school, no one will contest with you but in a public school, we are all of this country and no one will be bullied from exercising their constitutionally guaranteed right!

Muslims in Nigeria have had to put up with a lot of things and yet are still the one being labeled intolerant. As a child on secondary school, I was theatrically forced to accept a small Bible on the assembly ground despite that the private school is majority Muslim. Imagine your Christian child bring a quran home from school! Can you imagine the hell that will raise. We are the one that will have to tolerate your ranting in the public bus all in the name of prayer and preaching and all.

Stop the Hatred! A piece of clothing over the head of a child does not affect your life. Or are you that perverted to crave the hair on the head of a child so much?

Stop being an hypocrite!

Vintage men! Always making the rules for the women and never effecting any for themselves. Why not form your school and force your "modesty" down their throat.
So abeg which of those women have come to complain to you? Who dy beg you to form freedom fighter for them? It is even the stupid assumption on your part that women can't think for themselves. As long as it is public school, we all own the country, you cannot hate your way into forcing "immodesty" down the throat of everyone.

"Exercising Reasoning" is you counting your cost before embarking on a journey. You should have done your analysis on the pros and cons of a situation before delving into it. If you are too concern with putting on an "out of uniform" attire, then you find the environment that can accommodate your lifestyle. There are several islamic schools in Ibadan, Nigeria or even Afghanistan that will welcome an adherent, and still ensure the fellow makes it big in life. We don't have to create chaos where hitherto, peace abound. People should stop being troublesome.
Again, I invite you to exercise reasoning. Check my original comment where I mentioned that the contention is whether or not the school is a private or public school. The decision of the Supreme Court will shed light and hence why I stated what I stated. If the court decides that the school is a public school, then whether you like it or not, student will adorn their hijabs and cover their modesty. If otherwise, the school by implication will find another name not in any way attached to a public university. My question still remain though, for all the shout that you are tolerant and "Muslims are not", how does a piece of clothing over the head adorned by girls affect your life?

Why would you want to adjust a school uniform to suite your narrative or lifestyle? It is called a uniform, for goodness' sake. If you aren't comfortable with the uniform, as it were, find somewhere else that can accommodate your lifestyle. Simple!
Try to exercise reasoning. The Supreme Court judgement is there already and that is why I said the contention is whether or not the school is a public school. Besides, like I asked earlier, how does a piece of clothing affect adorned by another to cover what they deem sacred them affect your life! The Hijab is an everyday attire for Muslim woman. Not to a function, not only on fridays or any other day. It is an everyday attire.

Take your head covering to Islamic schools, nobody go come disturb you there.
Every public and private school get their specific uniforms for their students.
No introduce your weird and odd religious attire into secular school to disrupt the school uniform identity.
Unah too dey do!
Some people are covering their head with the Hijab and still reason fine, you are opposing the hijab and your brain is still covered.
