Dear SMC,
I think the statement (would you marry me) in form of a question is correct.
'Will you marry me' this statement begining with the word 'will' is no longer a question but a command. 'Would' as it is being used in a statement makes it a question of which the answer may be a 'yes' or 'no' as the case may be.
Make a research into the topic- concord rules and agreement in English.

Just answer questions and not to correct cause it's not our language.

There were this group of mad men say about ten of them at a psychiatric hospital. One morning when the doctor arrived the hospital, they were all screaming 'we don well' (for those who don't understand pidgin, it means- we are alright). The doctor was amazed but decided to test their mentality before discharging them. The doctor then drew a vehicle on a board and ask them to make the vehicle move from that position. He(the Dr.) said to himself, this man must really be alright then he asked the man why he was not with the others.
