According to a journalist, Raphael Akume, Sgt Ihom and wife were killed by unknown gunmen in Zaki Biam, Ukum local government area of Benue state when they visited home.

"Our inside source said it took the men of Operation Zenda relentless efforts to arrest some of the killers gang to get to the site were sgt Ihom wife was buried. However the men are yet to recover the corpse of sgt Abraham Ihom at the time of reporting.

The family of Sgt Ihom were full of praise to SP. Justin Gberindyer and his team as well as Nigerian police and Gov Samuel Ortom for intensify the war against criminality in the state. It is on record that the same men of Operation Zenda Under SP. Justin Gberindyer few weeks ago in Benue state uncovered a mass grave in Ushongo local Government and arrested some criminals there." Akume said.

Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, is currently in China to inspect some of the locomotives (trains) built for Nigeria by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCRC).

Yesterday, I test-ran and took delivery of more trains in China to service the Abuja-Kaduna and Lagos-Ibadan rail lines. For those complaining that the trains are not enough, especially for the Abuja-Kaduna route, we heard cries, the trains are coming!

The 1st batch of new trains built for us by CRRC- 2 motored cars and 4 Locomotives. I have taken delivery & they would soon be in Nigeria. Work is ongoing on the 2nd batch of trains. The plan is to connect & unite the entire country by rail. Together, let’s ride to the #NextLevel

Operatives of the Kano Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Sunday September 22, 2019 raided the residence of suspected yahoo-yahoo fraudsters located at No. 282 HC Hotoro North Quarters, Kano.

Six of suspects were arrested. They are Bala Balarabe, Abdullahi Musa, Abdullahi Danladi, Bashir Kassim, Saleh Mustapha and Abubakar Ahmed. The raid followed intelligence gathering and surveillance on activities of occupants of the building.

Police in Jigawa State have arrested a military personal with 169 blocks of herbs suspected to be Indian hemp. He was nabbed in Ringim Local Government Area. State commissioner of police, CP Bala Zama Senchi disclosed this while briefing Newsmen on the command’s achievement at the police headquarters in Dutse.

He explained that Operation Puff Adder, while on patrol along Sankara to Amaguwa in Ringim arrested one Cpl. Muzambilu Abdullahi with military uniform with 169 blocks of Indian hemp.

“The suspect was arrested after their vehicle, a Toyota Camry with registration number KTU 833 DK had an accident, ” he stated.
