I'm still in shock to see States owning Clubs in a country such as Nigeria in this day and age.

I personally think these Nigerian would be much stronger if they were privately owned. It would be the end of North African domination of CAF Champion's League and Confederation. in 10 years. Only Enyimba and DRC's Mazembe have given North-Africans hard time. This is not good at all.

breezy147:
yes the league might be over-hyped but isnt the Egyptian league over hyped aswell? yet the players were superb.
Who knows zambian league? yet their home based players but up a rugged african determination at the last afcon and won.
Zambian League sucks. their players play in DRC and South-Africa. at least SA has all kinds of infrastructures. but DRC has only 3 stadiums. damn shame. I even whish we had a decent number of stadiums as those of Nigeria. But anyways. DRC League is tough.

Nigerian's under performence in the last 2 years . The problem is the oganization of the team. when one looks at the whole team. from Enyema to Obi to Musa and the whole bench is another talented team. Its just one of those years when a team shrinks, but it will be back again. Just don't know how long it will be down.

But anyways. Nigeria is the most constant team in the last almost 20 year. why? It been getting in the Semi-Final and Final.

Honerico01
the bolded is owned by a governor in DRC
The Mazembe Chairman has been Governor since 2007. But he owns the team since 1998. Besides. Throughout DRC'S football History. Mazembe always been the richest club and it's never in Government's hand. There are never a single state Government owned club. They are either owned by individual businessmen, owned by a private or state Company, but not directly by State Government.
Sports / Re: Nigerian League Fan Thread: Enter D Place N Know Every by MutuYaChuma: 10:59pm On Mar 14, 2012
Enyimba vs Heartland. That must have been a very good Derby game. It even went to fighting. lol

Nigerian Businessmen must takeover all clubs if they are to really progress.

DRC has coule Clubs which could really do better if they aren't owned by owned dummy State companies. But other Clubs suchs as TP Mazembe, Vita-Club, DCMP, US-K, Tshikunku, CILU etc... do well because they are owned by Congolese businessmen.

However: Nigeria, DRC have a common weakness on clubs. Clubs aren't able to hold on on the good players. they might be good for 2 years , then shrink for another good at least 5 or so years because they need to come up with more players or build a cohessive team.

But Nigeria is a big ass country with a gigantic market compared to the rest of other countries and a growing economy. It should be able to be dominant on the continent by retaining lots of players within the country which would make the Clubs strong on continental lavel. But again. The Nigerian people play a bigger part in this. they must watch their Clubs first , then EPL second.

Besides, Nigeria has decent Stadias, unlike DRC which only got 2 decent ones.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Nigeria Vs South Africa by MutuYaChuma: 10:03pm On Mar 14, 2012
Anyways. Its not the first time South-Africa's ANC gets in mud with other African countries.

Isn't it funny that South-Africa buys Oil from Nigeria, but Not Angola? a SADC member and thats very near them?
Foreign Affairs / Re: Nigeria Vs South Africa by MutuYaChuma: 9:51pm On Mar 14, 2012
andrewza: Firstly the xenophobia violence was not a state event nor aimed towards Nigeria. And we are the back bone of SADC at least in a economic and military side witch translates in to political side of things.
No, your not the economic and military backbone of SADC. First of all. SA only dominates Botswana, Namibia , Lesoto and Swaziland only. Only thing that SA has in SADC are 2 or Banks, Shoprite, MTN or Vodacom (which are expensive than other networks anyways) and perhaps Nandos. thats all about it.
In the real sense, SADC founding nations are not dependent on SA at all, but rather trades big with China and the West.

And Militarily. SA only has that advanced military Technology. But members such as Angola, Tanzania and other big members are not intimidated by SA's military muscle, most member countries not dominated by your economy either.

Next the only reason there is animosity is because we both regional powers but south africa wants more and this puts them in conflict with Nigeria has we step in to your back yard.
The reason is ANC's wannabe Su-Sahara continental's only big boy who everyone should fear. which is so wrong considering in your so called backyard you scare no one. Not economically, nor militarily.

Has for do we want war with Nigeria. No. War is costly and we have no means of putting ground forces of any large size in Nigeria with out support of other nations including nation next to you. The most we could do is a navel blockade.
Well spoken. But SA wouldn't get support of other African coumtries to go against Nigeria anyways, not even the Navel blockade.

I do not see us working together we both have different ideas and philosophies concerning how we want to. Deal with the world.

On a related note south africa is pushing for chairmen ship of the AU and a permanent seat on the UN security council.

Thing is that, Africa is too diverse and massive to have a single big boy . But SA and Nigeria will continue to work together economically.

Well, Thats why SA was fast to apologize because it knows very well that it will be the looser, not Nigeria.

Some African countries had the so called spring before Arabs decades ago and the fight is still going on for some, some are already doing good. There is nothing to learn from North-Africans out
Foreign Affairs / Re: Libyan Problem Escalates- A Region Declares Independence by MutuYaChuma: 6:41pm On Mar 14, 2012
1stCitizen: No one is saying that a federation is wrong. The issue here is that contrary to what you think, they want total independence. Did you read the quote below?

Thanks broh!. I think your correct. Libya is indeed divided along ethnic lines and that is very dangerious. those declaring independence or authonomy seem to have the backing of Arabian countries. but also remember that they were very neglected by the Gadaffi regime. hence why that area has always been a fierce opposition.

Lets nopt be mistaken here. No country will ever stay samesize for eternity. If Libya is to be divided. they will divide themselves. It will not come from outside.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Europa League : Manchester United Vs Athletic Bilbao (2 - 3) On March 8th 2012 by MutuYaChuma: 3:43am On Mar 09, 2012
To EPL or death fans and to La Ligua Fans.

For me who is a not any league fan, but rather a Football fan, things are just that. there are 4 leagues which are the supreme of Europe.

At one point Italy's Seria was dominant and people wanted to watch it the most, Then it lost to EPL in early 2000s, EPL became the most watched, Then La Lagua has taken over as the people's favoroite. there will be time La Ligua will loose it to either EPL or Seria A again.

As to the the 4th interesting League. Its Germany's Bundesliga. You never know who is going to win Bundesliga. Its the most Unpredictable elague that exists for sometime.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Libyan Problem Escalates- A Region Declares Independence by MutuYaChuma: 7:51pm On Mar 07, 2012
What wrong with having a federation? there good federations suchs as UAE one which works really very well.

Reason why they ask for a federation is because they have been neglected when most Libyan Oil is from their region.

Thing about Libya, they have tribes and when one has tribes or ethnics or clans. trust me, a federation is the way to go.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Kony 2012 by MutuYaChuma: 6:26pm On Mar 07, 2012
This is absolute Rubbish.

Uganda got 10,000 soldiers in Somalia, but the US sends 100 soldiers to Uganda to capture Kony? the hell? Uganada can't send 2,000 soldiers to get rid him?

What happens to all the money that the US sends to Uganda? This is a scum.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Nigeria Deports 28 South Africans As Row Deepens by MutuYaChuma: 6:09pm On Mar 07, 2012
South-Africans are very well known for theor arrogance. not just towards Nigerians. But towards Zimbabweans, Angolans, Congolese etc, Its a country that is not used to competition in small and medium businesses. which is done by majority of people.

SA has a mass education problem. hense the immaturity in how it treats other people. except for whites who have already brained washed them.
Foreign Affairs / Re: South African Blues by MutuYaChuma: 5:58pm On Mar 07, 2012
If Nigeria wants to punish South-Africans for their arrogant behavior. Nigeria should tripple Taxes on SA businesses and double their prices on Oil they buy. Pocket hurts so much.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Nigeria Vs South Africa by MutuYaChuma: 5:51pm On Mar 07, 2012
There is nothing of so called supremacy by either one of these two. SA is not even a supreme in SADC union. But its always pretend to be the big boy of the union. and that doesn't go well with SADC founding fathers.

But this news of rivalry is a very good news. if you ask me.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Libyan Problem Escalates- A Region Declares Independence by MutuYaChuma: 5:46pm On Mar 07, 2012

Foreign Affairs / Re: Blacks Had No Claim To 40% Of Sa - Mulder by MutuYaChuma: 6:57pm On Feb 17, 2012
Thing is that Whites will defend their claim on this land.  First they will over create so many theories so they keep the land.

They need a Mugabe to take over the land. But they must be very careful not to make mistakes Mugabe made during or before the transfer of land.

I really don't understand why Nigeria League isn't as popular as in North-African country and South-African.

Instead, Almost every Nigerian i have met is passionate about EPL instead. I mean, Nigeria has lots of businessmen, and has good Stadiums it all it big cities.

How someone help me understand what is wrong?

Because those countries got nothing to insult.

How do you know that?
Politics / Re: The Way Nigerians Insult Their Country! by MutuYaChuma: 12:02am On Feb 12, 2012
Nigerians are better off than some African country like ethiopia, somali, liberia, congo etc

but how come people in these countries dont insult their countries the way we do
Nigeria is in the same basket as these countries.

Anyways: how would you know that they don't insult their countries?
