One of the ways to track a satellite using phones without a satfinder gadgets handy.

Requirements
A. 2 smartphones
B. Download a dish pointer app on smartphone.
C. Download WhatsApp on the phones.

Use a dish pointer app earlier downloaded to locate the direction of your choice satellite. (Azimuth)

Set you elevation by using the indication at the back of your dish.

Now to Align your dish properly. This is when we now need the two phones.
Do a video call on whatsapp on one of the phone and place it in your seating room facing the TV. It is assumed you have plugged your decoder and imputes the TP and its showing on your TV.

Take the second phone with you up the ladder ( Your TV is mirrored here to see your
signal strength and signal quality)

Begin to adjust your dish left to right or up and down while looking at your phone to see if it will hit green. Tightened your dish at maximum signal quality.
That's the summary.
I have used this method to find different satellites.

Qsat is outdated just like strong 4669xii, you should look out for cheaper multi-stream decoders like Tiger m5, range t20 or if you have enough bar then go for SRT 497s the oga patapata of them all...

@jkawa, the HW Version 6001-01[A], DiGicom DG9090 HD is based on ChipSet ID MONTAGE CS6001; it is the exact ChipSet that runs on TIGER e12 ULTRA\ RF HD. The specifications are as follows:
CPU- MONTAGE CS6001
H\W VERSION: HS1032-6001-01[B]
Flash Memory: 4MBits/ SDRAM: 512MBits DDR1

You will have to confirm the Flash Memory, SDRAM & the Dump Platform DDR1. It will be your personal interest and responsibility to flash the the DiGicom DG9090 HD satellite receiver with compatible software of Tiger e12 ULTRA\ RF HD via rs232 null serial cable.
All this is being done due to lack of support from the Chinese manufactures and the importers of these Chinese satellite decoders.

While main stream satellite receivers continue to enjoy frequent software up-grades, Chinese clone decoders that were supported a while back have now been neglected. The Chinese clone manufacturers rarely support their own models unless there is some form of biz trade.

Chinese clone decoders include 3D Lazer 9950 HD/ DiGicom HD/ ViewSat vrt4950 HD/ SkySat 9900HD/ PowerSat 4040a etc. The only solution for decoders that will not receive an up-grade is for us to put our efforts together and analyze the main-board specifications of the said decoders and flash the Eeprom IC via rs232 null serial cable of these decoders with latest software of compatible auto roll software

How much did u get it eventually. Its easy to learn. Just try it yourself if u have issues paste here i or anyone will be willing to help. Mine came with 2 remote controls

Yes it can open d free ones. Not sure of the model until i get home. 9500 i think. I will confirm. But d cartoon is clearly written combo so you can hardly miss it.
