Our Problems:
There is absolutely need to checkmate menace of social media if we must forge ahead as a people. You might not know the magnitude of psychological and emotional adjustment false accusation causes until you are a victim.
One will wonder the level of desperation, witch-hunt and wickedness that could lead person(s) into trying to tarnish image of a fellow, especially those at high places who are doing well in their various fields, only in a society like ours. Only in Nigeria, anybody is a journalist and can dish out anything to the public without a check. Its also in our clan, every unfounded news is genuine.
The Issues:
There have been several calls of the head of Mr. Josiah Habu, the Director of Bioresource Centre Odi in bayelsa State to be changed and replace with an indigene, a move which Ministry of Science and Technology have rejected time without number. Subsequently, the Director found it difficult accessing his place of work, not until adequate security was provided for him. Why should Mopol guard a head of Federal Agency just because some people do not want to see him as a Director.
Recall, a similar call led Federal polytechnic Ekowe into lot trouble since its establishment. I am sure so many do not know such Federal institution exist in Bayelsa State long before creation of Federal University Otueke. The Rector was eventually changed and the matter became worst as the people of the Local Government are asking that the Rector ought to have been from their LGA. If that is met, they will ask that it must be from the Ekowe community.
Their Eventually Demands:
• 70% of workforce should be indigenes without reckon to competency
• Contacts on the site must be done by indigenes not minding expertise
• Director to still go thereafter
The Basic Questions:
 Could EFCC have sent out info on investigation of N603m without company name and account details?
 Could any contractor get a job of such magnitude in a Ministry without bidding or could a ministry of Science and Technology pay directly into individual account for government project?
 DG, NABDA arrested, not heard on Channels, TVC, AIT, Silverbird or NTA. Even reputable newspapers never carry the news? They must be sleeping
 20 Directors of news centers involved, directors of centers that have not kick off?
 Monies flies to account without bank or account number?
Mr. Josiah Habu should rather be commended for the transformation of BIODEC Odi, a centre he started in water lodge area with less than twenty (20) staff and no meaningful structure on ground that can now boast of better structure for every departments, about 250 staff and lodges for trainees who come from far.
IT IS ABOUT TIME IN THIS COUNTRY TO REGULATE THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA TO STOP THE DRAG OF NAMES OF OUR INNOCENT AND DEDICATED SONS & DAUGHTERS INTO MUD

Islam for Muslims / Re: The Issue Of Shortening Salah (salat-ul Qasr) During NYSC Camp by muzari: 11:11am On Dec 30, 2016
Assallamu alaykum waramatullah wabarakatuhu.
You can decide to observe your sallat in any of the forms listed above, it's just like length of journey to be covered before Qasr bond on you. Imam Malik cover an average of 70km before he starts Qasr, while Imam Abu Anifa starts immediately in the mosques in front of his house so far he's taken the intention. Whichever you choose, is verily accepted.

On the second note, Qasr can bond on you only in the camp. After camp, wherever you are posted becomes your home and Qasr is concealed. Then when you visit your home during service year, you observe Qasr in your village as are a visitor by default in your village.
Reason(s):
1. In your camp, you are not allowed to travel or leave the camp
2. In your Station, you are allowed to travel or be visited

Note: For a soldier in battle front can observe Qasr for as long as he stays

Islam for Muslims / Re: It's Maulid Nabiyy, Let's Celebrate Our Prophet. by muzari: 8:57am On Dec 12, 2016
Do you love the prophet more than the prophet himself, his companions who spent time with him (sahaba), those who follow them (ta'abihi) and those after them (tabatabihi) or the four imams.
This Bidia (innovation) came years after the death of rosul, it's never supported by those who love the prophet and in fact they discourage it. So, don't encourage it if you love sunnah. But as a lover of Bidia, you will always find excuses to justify the act

Waoh! Nigeria is becoming a great country. An officer just called that we should report to CID office tomorrow, he promised to handle the case tomorrow free of charge. He assured us of taking up the case by writing to CP Rivers State to track him down since Ahoada is not under their jurisdiction.
Thank you Seun for creating this wonderful platform called Nairaland, God almighty will bless you more

Crime / Face Of A Guy Who Stole Gione M5 Phone In A Bank In Yenagoa, Bayelsa State by muzari: 10:12pm On Nov 29, 2016
The guy below stole the phone of an innocent account officer who was trying to open an account for him, he abandoned the account opening forms and took to his heel when the officer was trying to make photocopy. He was followed immediately, but escape by whisk.
Though the gentle guy has move on with his life and bought another phone, I feel pain seeing Gione M5 phone stolen by a cruel amateur criminal who left his phone contacts, passport and allow cctv to capture him.
People who know him claimed he's from Ahoada in Rivers State, but the phone owner pray that we should forget about trailing him. I just feel allowing his people know of this will be okay to deter others

Family / Tuoyo Etoromi Oduah: A Bastard Or Not by muzari: 10:29pm On Sep 02, 2016
Judging by press statement released by this subject about his father, can in all religions, traditions and ethics standards this boy be called a BASTARD?
* How old was he as at the time of the separation?
* Was he trained to respect elders?
* Do the mother allowed the father access to them?
* Is he just too irrational to filter?
* Does he know the real meaning of root?
* Does he really belong to the acclaimed father?
DNA test should be truly recommended, how did separation of 30yrs produced 28yrs son

Old age is catching up with Adeboye for sure, pray one of these days he won't read verse upside down.
A man who saw a pregnant woman by Ilesha/Ife road with her car parked after leaving hospital Cos doctor said the baby inside her is dead and needed to be evacuated through CS.
I wonder which hospital will release a woman who had lost baby inside her or a woman who'll leave hospital after such news to come to road side of all places.
Adeboye said, " I touched her stomach and the baby came back to life"

Can compensation be paid for privacy, freedom and security? Sometimes we do not know pains people go through especially at his age until one get involved
Note that, the first pillar of the bridge will block the car and pedestrian gate while the second blocks the lorries gate

Properties / Show Of Wickedness By Lagos State Government To A Man At 85 by muzari: 8:44pm On Mar 24, 2016
The pictures below said it all, the ferocious cruelty Lagos State Government is subjecting Mr. Lateef Agoro into at his age of 85. A man that is supposed to be enjoying retirement and good times with is family is made to be sweating everyday, his plea for mercy to the office of the Commissioner of Work met deaf ears of the commissioner who insisted that the old man can go to hell.
I wonder in the whole world why any government would want to be wicked to any of its citizen to the level of positioning pedestrian bridge to block entrance to the person's house no matter what. Apart from exposure of the privacy, what about the security threats this pose to the old man, how will he enter his house with his car and the two lorries he possess.
I heard the commissioner of works on Channels TV saying; the government has right of encroachment, but will pay compensation. The right to take away property, freedom, privacy, leisure and even the joy of a 85 years old man at a time he needs the government to be there for him more than ever.
Do these guys in government have any empathy at all?

Business / Two Essential Commodities That Are Terribly Scarce In Bayelsa Now by muzari: 10:04pm On Feb 20, 2016
As this government is trying its best to put things in place in Nigeria, Yenagoa in Bayelsa State will always look different. First is that, no commodity in Bayelsa State is lesser than in anywhere in Nigeria, even things that are produced here. Remember that we've never bought fuel in Yenagoa at regulated price until recently, but at the moment, fuel as gone back to normal Yenagoa prices (#110, #130)
The two essential commodities that have gone to default in Bayelsa are:

1. Fuel: Filling Stations as usual have created artificial scarcity as agreed from their meeting previous week; Unlessgod will sale from 8am-10am and closed, Kobinson will resume sale from 10am to 12am, then AP at Tombia begin sale by 12am-2pm. At 2pm DPR send their boys out for commission, these guys move from one filling station that have made sales to another for returns.

2. Electricity: For past three days not even a blink of light in Yenagoa, but we had it for two days uninterrupted when NLC protested hike in increase. If you can give us then, why frustrating us now!!!

Please drop your comment about situation of these commodities in your location, thank you
